this video is missing many things. i don't see the vr icon in adobe premier. so many questions. need better tutorials. how do we load the plugin to adobe premier
click the little "+" button on the bottom right of the program monitor will bring up the button editor and then you can add the VR button to your toolbar. It's not there by default.

So many people saying they arent getting the screen you are showing for the plugin but you wont respond to it or show in the video how you got that. Ive even sat for hours in online chat with Adobe trying to get their plugin to work and they couldnt even do it. You skipped over in the video how you opened up the plugin or got it to work. Would be really nice to have that added for those of us struggling with it. I have downloaded multiple older versions of Premiere Pro now and none of them work with the plugin even though I can see it installed on my pc.

I bought the lens and try to record a few clips, however I the VR Utility cannot see the CRM file at all. Do I have to convert them back to mp4 first?

I have canon crm raw files as I cannot shoot 8k 60fps on my r5c in any other format. I do not want to transcode to mp4 just to import when I should be able to import the crm files directly into premiere. Can you help Canon or fix this with your plugin so crm files will show up equirectangular in premiere?
Hi! Unfortunately the Premiere plugin doesn't support RAW files, so you will need to use the EOS VR Utility first to create either MP4 or ProRes files. We can hear this doesn't fit with your desired workflow and have fed this query back to to the developers 👍 Thanks for your question!
question about the lens (which i have right now on my R5) and PHOTO (not video): how can i export "2D" panoramic images?
asking because when i use the canon app it only creates an XML file alongside the original photo... and then???
is there a plug-in for photoshop?
It's a long process. Honestly waiting for the LR plugin since the current apps (canon camera vr) and premiere plugin are both $5 a month, and total garbage. Imagine hitting the peak of editing on davinci and having to go back to premiere to try and work with 8k footage. Ouch. Great lens canon but do better.
@@STUTTRUP 100% agreed... great lens... but why oh why does canon deliver such horrific software? or seemingly does not 3rd parties integrate their better software with the lens... i am stunned... would be happy to spend 2K on the lens - if i could use it, ;)... i will be returning the lens next week and see if in the future canon wises up
@@TomasLoewy I'm holding out till the very end hoping they come out with something more useable. Canon VR app for converting... fine I can do that, but the fact it has such sluggish playback on even a supercomputer blows my mind. Or maybe the fact I can't batch export all the videos while even paying $5 a month. Looks like all my clips will be 1:59 from now on.
I also have the same issue with Adobe Premiere Plugin. I have downloaded and installed the software, successfully but I still cannot access the plugin in premiere. I'm having issues with Adobe Premiere Plugin. I have downloaded and installed the software, but I still cannot access the plugin. I have paid for the subscription service to use the plugin, with the the first 90 days free, but there doesn't seem to be a way to activate the plugin. Please advise! thank you

I was able to get the Premiere Pro plugin to work by downgrading to version 15.0. Unfortunately, this version does not support Apple Silicon, so Exporting and scrubbing suffer considerably. Hopefully Canon can update the plugin to support the latest version of PR soon!
Just tried downgrading and it still wont work for me. Did you also get a warning saying plug in not activated before downgrading?
Please help me, I made a 15 sec Video, downloaded it via Utility from my R5 but in VR utility after selecting the file it said "no clips found"

CAN THE CAMERA SHOOT TRADITIONAL "FLAT" STEREOSCOPIC 3D?! IF NOT, PLEASE ADD.
It can't do that due to the spherical lenses.

@@ContentMonsters considering that the most popular way to watch 3D right now is in a VR headset I don't know why you would want to change it. I still have 3D TVs but most people don't. And TH-cam doesn't really support red cyan and a glyph anymore unless you upload it that way

When I open EOS VR Utility it says 'Please install Canon HEVC Activator.' I've installed it but I keep getting that message. Any help?

The app does not work on macOS Big Sur and the AP plugin does not work with Premiere Pro 22. Step up your game Canon!

This video is incomplete. In premiere you completely ignored the format and bitrate settings which are even more important. You had h.264 and like 12mps which is ridiculous and you didnt even talk about render times. I'm trying to export a 3 minute video and even with hardware encoding it's taking 3 hours??????? That cant be right?????? I am exporting using h.265 at 60mbps constant bitrate

@@CanonEurope thanks but I just realized why none of the canon videos talk or show rendering from premiere, the plugin sucks and is not optimized and took me 3 hours to render a 3 minute clip at max settings, which is unacceptable. How about you tell your support team to get in touch with the adobe team and fix that plugin and make sure it can actually use hardware rendering and we call it a day?

@@wcsdiaries you need to pay a subscription fee to use either their standalone tool or the premiere plugin. They do have a trial period so you can try it out. This is why its so important to get influencers like this channel to share even small raw clips for us to use and test out. The subscription is only like 5 bucks a month which is still significantly cheaper than mistikavr.

Seems like a bit of a waste of time (and money) when neither work with 8K 60fps Canon RAW.

how does it work? friends. where can I see a detailed manual for installing the plugin and where can I find it in the Premiere? no support at all, I'm very disappointed. Do not write to support. how and where to look for this plugin is not clear.. where to look for these plugins in the premiere.. This is utopia guys. for such a large corporation as Canon, can't you make a detailed manual?? I'm so disappointed. And a separate utility on which video saving goes up to 100% and then just stands in one place. Are you guys serious? Where to write, who will help? I am very tired of fighting this problem already. I just want to throw everything away and unsubscribe from the annual plan.. it's unclear how to use this shit. it remains as before to stitch everything in DAVINCI RESOLVE for free @@markr041
