I'm guessing those are the most carefully and lovingly manicured fingernails on this planet (he should have an insurance policy on them). Just listen to that pristine tone he gets out of that guitar! 3:06 - To me, this part is just nothing short of sheer brilliance- striking those harmonics in a way that sort of sums everything up with a few bold strikes.
