COLD CASE: 7-Year-Old Kyron Horman Disappearance Remains Unsolved After Attending Science Fair

- On June 4, 2010, Kyron was taken to school by his stepmother, Terri, who stayed with him while he attended a science fair. Terri stated that she left the school at around 8:45 a.m. and that she last remembered seeing Kyron walking down the hall to his first class. However, he was never seen in his first class and was instead marked as absent that day.
Adventures With Purpose steps in on this case remembering that 1.5 years earlier they pulled a Red Wagon from a nearby boat ramp on Sauvie's Island.
DID IT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH KYRON'S DISAPPEARANCE?
In late June 2010, in the midst of the investigation into Kyron's disappearance, Kaine Horman was reportedly told by investigators that Terri had offered their landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez, "a lot of money" to kill her husband. Sanchez testified in a deposition that Terri approached him to help kill her husband in January 2010, five months before Kyron's disappearance.
Terri failed two separate polygraph examinations regarding Kyron's disappearance.
On June 1, 2012, Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, filed a civil lawsuit against Terri claiming that she was "responsible for the disappearance of Kyron.
The lawsuit attempted to prove that Terri had kidnapped Kyron on the day he disappeared.
Young sought $10 million in damages from Horman.
In early October 2012, Spicher refused to answer any of the 142 questions posed to her during a deposition regarding Young's lawsuit. Among these questions were ones regarding Spicher's whereabouts on June 4, 2010, and her contact with Terri that day. She also declined to identify a photo of Kyron, whether she had met him before or not, and whether she knew his father, Kaine.
During testimony provided by Kaine Horman in a separate hearing the same year, he stated that police had told him they "have more probable cause to think Terri Horman was involved in Kyron's disappearance than they did two years ago."
On July 30, 2013, it was announced that Young had dropped the lawsuit against Terri so as not to interfere with the ongoing police investigation.
Local and state police, along with the FBI, conducted an exhaustive search for Horman and launched a criminal investigation but have not uncovered any significant information regarding the child's whereabouts. His disappearance sparked the largest criminal investigation in Oregon history.

Terri Horman killed that poor child. I have watched every video/interview with Terri and her body language says it all (I'm deaf). She will never let anyone know where he is. Ty to AWP for this search.
So she was driving a truck that day and there have been suggestions that a large plastic bin may have disappeared from the Horman's front porch. And with Terri's background of being a bodybuilder, a 7 yr old in a large plastic bin would be nothing for her to lift. Please keep working this case. Kyron deserves to come home.

Terri is remarried going by Terri Vazquez. Living in Clearlake California and working in Ukiah. Drives a green Dodge Challenger with a black stripe.. If you see the wicked beast ... ask her WHERE KYRON IS??!!!
I still can’t believe this is unsolved. It hurts so much. I hope whoever did it is living in unbearable guilt.
I lived on Sauvie Island when this happened. I could never walk the island again without looking for Kyron. To this day he's in the hearts and minds of us touched by him.
The step mom lives near me in my old neighborhood......kyles real mom would stand outside her house with signs that read where is Kyle???? Very sad, and that step mom is guilty as hell..........
This is a case that a lot of people in the PNW want solved and everyone knows about. I was 14 in middle school and remember them searching for him. Thanks for looking for him
My uncle was a detective close to the case, he has an inkling it was the step mom, along with others on the case, but there is no concrete evidence to follow criminally. Everyone in Oregon thinks it was her, especially with how tight lipped she is. I have always wondered if he is out in forest park. Lots of dead bodies found out there. Poor Kyron, I remember the day he went missing and all the news frenzy. I hope he is resting peacefully wherever he is.
Man this seems like it will be a hard one. If he was put in a duffle bag or tire I guess it could possibly be completely covered in silt too by now... Hopefully you guys are successful in finding him.

I was born in January 2002. Im just a few months older than Kyron. Seeing a missing person born in the same year as me, who has been missing for such a long time just haunts me. It’s haunting in general seeing a picture of someone who has been missing for a long time. But when it’s someone who is your age, or close to your age, just hits harder for some reason. I don’t know why.
His mother's broken heart breaks my heart. My youngest son is 44 and I would be devastated if he went missing. God bless you for all you do. The best thing we can do on this earth is to help our fellow human beings. Love and prayers from Texas!

I’ve got a 2 year old and a 6 month old. This is the most terrifying thing I can imagine.
I was a member of Yamhill County Search & Rescue at that time, and was on 2 of the searches for Kyron.
This little boy breaks my heart. He reminds me so much of my little son. They're both so tiny. I couldn't imagine what the family is going through. I'm so sorry! God bless little Kyron and his family.
There is another dock a quarter mile up the Gilbert river. You can see it in the video in the distance. Just before you pull into the Gilbert boat ramp you can take a left. It takes you about 1/4 mile 1/2 mile through the brush to another secluded parking lot. Plenty of trail to both sides of the fishing dock....it's not a launch but there are about 3-4 real deep holes close to the lot you could roll a cart or wagon to. I quit fishing here cause it's all snags. People dumping rubbish.
My nephew was around the same age during this case and looked a lot like Kyron. They were out to dinner in Vancouver, WA and someone called the police to report a child they thought could be him. The cops showed up and talked to them, but immediately were able to see my nephew had the wrong eye color and was not Kyron. So sad, hit so close to home. I don't know how these parents do it. I would lose my mind.
I cannot imagine the pain of not knowing what happened to your child, not familiar with the case but if the little vanish from school that's just messed up
