Hey, can you let me know where i can find an HDD image for the PSX? I want to extract the sounds from it, tho unfortunately the only link I found for an HDD Image was dead.
I don't have a direct HDD image at the moment but I do know the sounds have already been extracted and can be found here: archive.org/details/desr-system-sounds :)
Leadready I just found out with the X stands for pretty much it wasn’t a actual PlayStation and it obviously wouldn’t be the PS3 so they put PSX because there’s no number
@Nihal Reddy Outside of Japan no, but you can legally buy them internationally since its a combined Gaming & DVD console, however it only reads Japanese games. I currently own one of them.

The XMB on PS3 was nice…when it actually worked. It would take forever to load and freeze very often

the only good thing psx did is they make the first ps3 menu
Psx was basically the breeding grounds of the ps3, many internal features of the psx came into the ps3 and the psx carved the ui for the ps3

I actually have no idea. It either means cross, as the PSX was a DVR crossed with a Playstation 2, or it could just be a letter to make it sound cool.
