Wow, your work has just become so much more impressive than it already was. You building and sketching and doing anything related to product design without being able to see in 3d is very impressive! Thanks for the first impressions! I’d love to see more of you building in gravity sketch!
Fascinating Sam. I’m interested to see where you go with this, so yes please, let’s see some more videos! I’ve been really tempted by the oculus, though not for designing, until now!
Thanks for this Sam. Just got my Quest with gravity sketch and Im slowly trying to get up to speed with it. Looking forward to seeing what you produce with it.
I was wondering what it would be like to use vr if you couldn’t perceive depth the other day. Wasn’t sure if it would just be like every other interaction or if there would be issues.
gravity sketch vr is in my opinion the most easy and versatile cad program! it's much less tedious and im bashing out models left and right! I only use blender for uv mapping and exporting now lol.
Please try with the new Quest 3! Since it has color pass-through you can actually now sketch into the real world! I'm sure you will take advantage of this.
i can't either but I can do some pretty neat looking stuff in 3D, it's much more natural as you can change the perspective to the model just right! my issue is always inconsistent perspective on my drawings which is why I just draw abstract things, lol
To locate my Touch controllers I tilt my head up and peer down the gap around the nose. Looks ridiculous but helps me nonetheless 👍🏼 Can’t wait to see what you do with the platform, I love using GS ☺️
If you like those controllers, you'd love the Valve Index controllers 😆Won't work with Oculus though cause of the way they did everything unfortunately.
OMG I am also a product designer and I also have only one working eye. I did not think that I can meet somebody like me. I lost my ey during my education and was worried about 3d but now I work and do it quite successfully. At least I hope. I am sure that people can get everything if they really want it.

Thank you so much! I can’t wait to learn more about Gravity Sketch
you’ve even became more of an inspiration now after that story! thanks for your content :)
cheers from detroit ♥️
Thank you so much! I'm really pleased I could help
Amazing Sam! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Welcome to VR!
Thank you for making VR so welcoming!

You should do more videos like the one with the process to design the glasses, thats my favourite... YOU´RE AMAZING
Thanks for this Sam. Just got my Quest with gravity sketch and Im slowly trying to get up to speed with it. Looking forward to seeing what you produce with it.
so those wrist straps... they hold the controllers to your wrists. also you can double tap the side of the headset to activate the passthru cam
Great job explaining this, Sam! Super interesting! 🙏
Thank you! I’m glad I could help
@5:41 "Is there a knack to finding the controllers?" What do you think the wrist straps are for? D'uh!
I use GS & love it.

Awesome Video, there's always more to learn 🙌 Great to get your thoughts on this!
I can’t even draw in 2D and now you’ve got me wanting to give VR a go 😅
i can't either but I can do some pretty neat looking stuff in 3D, it's much more natural as you can change the perspective to the model just right! my issue is always inconsistent perspective on my drawings which is why I just draw abstract things, lol
To see the real world and your controlers you can tap twice on the left side of your headset. It's a new option of the Quest😁
Use the pass through to pick up the controllers
is the app free for Oculus quest 2 owners? Is there any limitation? Thanks...I'll wait for new videos on that
Where did you buy the head strap?
I agree completely man. This app has tremendous potential, I myself just need alot more hands on lol motion is everything
To locate my Touch controllers I tilt my head up and peer down the gap around the nose. Looks ridiculous but helps me nonetheless 👍🏼 Can’t wait to see what you do with the platform, I love using GS ☺️
Haha that’s a good way of finding them!
If you like those controllers, you'd love the Valve Index controllers 😆Won't work with Oculus though cause of the way they did everything unfortunately.
Would love to try these once! I always loved working in 3D but it can take so long to create a good prototype.
I’ve really enjoyed the time I’ve used it so far. It’s so fast to get complex shapes!

I’m sorry to hear about your eye too, but we got this! Let’s show ‘em what were made of 💪
Gravity sketch stopped developing 4 years ago
Reminds me of major Andre from TURN Washington spies.
