    That is simply the BEST explanation of how this is used... I am totally new to SubD modelling and this has me able to understand it... at last! THANK YOU!!

    I wish we could watch videos inside GS. So much to grasp. It would really speed up the learning curve.

      You can! If you are using Rift or connected to a PC on Quest you can use virtual desktop to pin windows in your VR app and watch videos playing on your computer screen

      @@GravitySketchTH-cam Hello, I have a question... You know how you can pose the included character that you can import into projects? Can I... Or, how can I, add those green/blue animation dots to characters I've created in Gravity Sketch, so I can pose my characters? Can this be done? If not... Let's upgrade! :)

    My adhd is having a hard time focusing when that background music keep going up and down. It's a very good walk through but I keep getting my focus kicked out beneath my feet with that stressful music coming and going without a logical musical flow. Could you please release the same video without the music so I can keep my focus?

    Please, Please, pretty please can I have a cheat sheet for all the controls? I also thought you might cover using the smooth tool quick method without needing the wand on the toolbelt.... Also why do I have to grab with the shortcut method? Thanks for any response! Keep it up!

    Once geometry has been merged, can it be unmerged? For example. If you were to begin splitting a model into individual parts for manufacturing. It would be useful to have the Combine, Separate, Extract functions as with Maya. This is essential for splitting a single volume into parts. Extract is used to break faces relationship from the main volume dividing into parts. Combine is used to group the parts, but not merge them, so they can modified globally as one entity. Separate ungroups the parts again so they can be modified individually, added to individual layers or exported individually. Cheers.

      I actually found out recently there is "grouping" vs merge. Check this:th-cam.com/video/-wABAbnDKTE/w-d-xo.html
      Grouping lets you move the parts together and ungroup them later. Merge seems to be a one way road when you mean to blend subD surfaces together

    For some reason, I can't seem to find the subdivision menu anymore. The menu where you can toggle it on and off and turn it to low poly. So confused.

    please help: how can i align two points on a single axis? for example make one point have same x position as the other? or scale face on z down to 0 so i know it is perfectly horizontal?

    Does Gravity Sketch support volumetric sculpting like Occulus Medium did?

    • @drawthingz1201
      @drawthingz1201 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does

    • @osakanone
      @osakanone 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@drawthingz1201 So you don't need to care about topology or surfaces and you can just sculpt volumes?
      Like I come from a background of sculpture so placing surfaces in strokes is just not how I imagine doing stuff unless I'm building a cage that I'm about to put clay on for a volume.

    • @drawthingz1201
      @drawthingz1201 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@osakanone you can freely add volume to build your forms. Then smooth it out. If you want a cleaner mesh you can also create that using subdivisions

    • @GravitySketchYouTube
      @GravitySketchYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oculus Medium is voxel based and we do not currently support voxels. Our geometry consists of nurbs and subd surfacing.

    I would like to know is there a way to snap primitive shapes together without manually attempting to put them closer to each other for example pulling up a triangle and then snapping it to another triangle by its edges

    • @GravitySketchYouTube
      @GravitySketchYouTube  ปีที่แล้ว

      There isnt a way to snap primitive objects to each other but snapping to objects can be done with points in edit mode!

    when will the program allow for more than 10 vertices? i am using it for 3d printing and my models are always to large no matter how small they actually are when it comes to importing into sub d in gravity sketch. . i guess i can run them through another program but im unfamiliar with others.

    • @GravitySketchYouTube
      @GravitySketchYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Make sure whatever 3d program you are exporting your models from that it is at the correct scale. Also make sure you haven"t scaled yourself too small in your scene when importing. Additionally you can drop your imports into the import box next to the model import menu and you can import at specific scale units. Check out our video on scale here: th-cam.com/video/WUymuN4knnQ/w-d-xo.html
