You don't understand the concept of a patent. It's possible to stop you getting knocked off. Is it foolproof? Maybe not but patents do work

To answer Bethany's concern...lot of ppl can replicate it especially the million dollar companies, however, just like ppl with money and talent, they are not going to invest in executing it out like this gentleman. I'm interested in this pasta looking how genuinely Lori truly enjoyed it.

A very unique type of take on a pasta/ vegetable introduction to a alternative recipe. Hearts of palm have a very unique flavor maybe not for everyone taste buds but for diabetic and weight conscious minded individuals this deserves time on the shelf.Bravo for him for the R/D ...I think it could be a game changer for a special niche...wish him continuing success!!!!
They sell this at Trader Joe's and I have been eating it for a couple of years. I don't think it is his brand though

I freaking LOOOOOVE Palmini!!!!!!! GAME changer ❤ It holds the sauce PERFECTLY! The only thing that's different is the texture. It's yummy crunchy, and refreshing...none of the mushy pasta crap.

Came here because I didn't know Palmini was on Shark Tank but when I tried it I didn't know it was hearts of palm. My wife prepared it and I loved it more than regular pasta. I'm blown away.
I can't believe they found a Shark more annoying than Barbara... hahah Barbara at least is honest and gives good feedback.
After the show Barbra called and said that they had a good pitch so for that reason she was out.

The answer was that he can’t prevent competitors because his patent is only for his own machinery. Others can replicate it easily. But I totally agree with u about Bethany being repetitive and loudly unbearable

The sharks that are saying it's kind of confusing are correct - if I bought this I'd think it was pasta and be disappointed that it wasn't some type of hybrid veggie type pasta. That said, now I'm very excited to try it because it might be really good.

I actually tried cooking like an adult for the first time and I grabbed this one off the shelf and I messed up so bad lol I just kept putting butter and cheese into it and it came out fine lol it’s pretty good and I’m no chef. It is a lot of water and I think I cooked it wrong because it was crunchy lol, but totally great
I mean butter and cheese make pretty much everything taste better but does not help in regards to calories.

For anyone curious: hearts of palm are not always a sustainable food. The uptick in popularity has put pressure on the palm tree population and is leading to deforestation and possible extinction in the future. Some varieties can be harvested sustainably, but others require mature trees to be cut down for very little product. Do your research before buying into new plant-based food trends - not all of them are good for the environment!
