    So, by popular request - or even demand - we are building ourselves a park set in 1930 so that we can develop it through the years and watch how dynamic parks can be! But first.. we need that park... So, based on Golden Acre in Leeds, this little park will host a ballroom, boating lake, multiple rides and attractions plus the world famous railway. So, let's start a war by building a rollercoaster themed to the Spitfire planes. What could go wrong, it's a Flying Turns in Planet Coaster!? Knoebels would be proud.
    Well, you love your realistic Planet Coaster parks, so go around one more time and go for series number 8. Blimey. This time we are coming after Paulton's Park, Drayton Manor, Wallibi Holland and Chessington World Of Adventures. Set in the UK and started on a blank map.
    Thank you so much for being an awesome community. I've set up a membership if you'd like to say thanks or buy a beer (a bit like Patreon; just on TH-cam). Using realism I’ve learnt from my experience of working for a real-life theme park company and over 4000 hours of Planet Coaster play time. Using true-to-life principles, we walk through each stage of the build reasons why things are built in a certain way- as well as some top tips on how these were achieved too by pulling them apart for you to see. As the project progresses, I’ll release the park for you to enjoy, so please make sure you Subscribe to stay in touch! I'm the two dollars twenty of Planet Coaster apparently...
    What if Cedar Fair opened a park in the UK? Would it look like Alton Towers? Thorpe Park? Or would it take on the form of more American parks like Cedar Point? Canada's Wonderland? Or would it be more themed like DollyWood, Legoland, Busch Gardens or SeaWorld? Oh, and don't forget Six Flags too! What about China? I hear Flying Kiss theme park in China is a good one too! Well, one thing is for sure, realistic Planet Coaster parks don't come much more realistic than this and let's be honest, other Planet Coaster Let's Play or Planet Coaster gameplay videos won't give you the real reasons why things are as they are. Where do you place rides, rollercoasters, shops, paths, plazas, car parks, entrance areas, tickets, turnstiles, maintenance sheds and so on? I'll tell you where as we up the Planet Coaster Realism game! This is more than just a Planet Coaster Tutorial; this is a Planet Coaster best park ever!' Just so you know, my realistic series uses Planet Coaster Sandbox. It's time to get Planet Coaster real! Episodes with rollercoasters also have rollercoaster povs too. Don't worry if you're stuck for Planet Coaster Entrance Ideas - this episode will sort you out. This is how to start a park. AND if you like the build styles of Themepark worldwide, bro nation, silvarret, maskedbandit, mike sheet, deladysigner and rudi rudikmental then you might just like this! We have very similar planet coaster building style. I wish I'd get noticed by Mr Beast haha

    Chacho, this is NUTS! You've WAY outdone yourself. Sure there may be fewer things to build because the '30s had fewer regulations, etc., but you have poured ALL your usual commitment to detail into the bits that do exist! That station is NEXT LEVEL. Spectacular work!

    Loving the park, Chacho! I was just wondering, I love riding trains at amusement parks (the only place left to do so here in America, it seems) and was curious if we could ride the train every so often (like maybe every ten years or so) to see how the park evolves from a closer to the ground perspective? Either way, I can't wait to see how this park evolves throughout the years!

    • @Nerdchacho

      Yes.. Let's do a train ride POV video when the coaster in 1951 is done... :)

    Yes! Yes! Yes! Another WW2 joke in the intro!
    P.d. FYI Knoebels’ version of the Flying Turns is much more heavily supported and has wooden cross-ties over the track too. However I can’t tell you if the old ones had this.

  • @shieldeddragon7828
    @shieldeddragon7828 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As one of those people “over there” yes, you pronounce the K. Also, those restraints are god awful if you have to ride with someone else, that was bad. But the ride was great, not to mention our train was so heavy that we were going over 5-7 miles an hour faster than a usual train…

      I hated Avalanche at Blackpool - and that's Mack.. so I presume they would be the same or similar...

  • @TannerTheGinger
    @TannerTheGinger ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ve done 3 parks where I did the same thing you are doing, building the park through the decades. Let me tell you, it’s hard at the start to get everything like it was back in the years and “janky” as it used to be, but it’s so satisfying to watch it grow and develop and when you start adding new things to where old things used to be!
    Really gave me a new interest in this game

    • @Nerdchacho
      @Nerdchacho  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hardest bit has been the "straight after the war" years.. there's nothing around.. park's either went under or went into hibernation.. They seem to pick up again in the early 50's

  • @marklasich2231
    @marklasich2231 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Its pronounced kuh-NO-bel. They also have a really fun pretzel haunted house ride I'd you need future inspiration.

  • @josiahzapata6158

    I'd be cool if Chacho RMC'd the woody in the future

    • @personalalt317
      @personalalt317 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Most RMC hybrid coasters come from wooden coasters built in the 80's or 90's, so it wouldn't be very realistic for that to happen. Though if the park got a CCI or Dinn Wooden Coaster somewhere down the line ,a hybrid conversion could definitely be a cool addition.

    • @Nerdchacho
      @Nerdchacho  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Also, RMCing woodies is an American thing.. not a UK / EU thing.. so I think I'm going to keep it over there.. RMCing things is over-rated now.

    • @josiahzapata6158
      @josiahzapata6158 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @planetcoaductions8820
      @planetcoaductions8820 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Nerdchacho I wouldn’t say overrated. Almost every woodie they RMC’ed either never got any riders or was border line terrible. But they are definitely becoming less common and it seems that ground ups are becoming their thing now.

    The park name is pronounced "Kuh-no-bels". It is hands down my favorite park as have visited every summer for the past 30 years. They advertise as the largest "Free Admission" park in the United States. They use a ticket system to charge for the rides or have ride all day passes on weekdays. Picnic groves to eat or buy your lunch there as they also won the Golden Ticket award for their food. Camping also on-site. No fences surround the perimeter of the park what so-ever. I have been working off and on for several years to recreate this park in Planet Coaster including Flying Turns. The addition of pebble mulch in the toolkit was a great help has a lot of the park has no pavement. It's nestled in the woods and you can even bring your pets. Has a pool too just like Royal Myle. This park has a great mix of old and new rides and is still family owned. I would encourage everyone to make a trek to Elysburg, PA to check it out!

      It's worth the effort to do it, but getting artistic shapes from idro beams takes longer than building the coaster.. and even then I ended up going for a flat side as opposed to curved like I originally wanted.. especially the roof..

    Love the Flying turns layout but i hope this park keep some legacy on it rides, some parks at this time would Demo the coaster and build new ones, so your lost your history. That's why parks like knoebels, Kennywood and Camden park (WV and park in Fallout 77) have more of a historic charm.
    Send the park file to Johnny, this could be a good spot to show the birth of the park and the final in 2020 to see the humble beginnings to Modern Marvel

    • @Nerdchacho
      @Nerdchacho  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well.. there would be some disasters along the way; and these coasters are prone to burning down... and there would be a bit of a shameless cull in the 80s and 90s.. so some will survive and some will depart to tears and sad music.. I haven't decided what yet, though

    I know this is a bit late to the party but Six Flags over Texas has a coaster similar to this La Vibora. The cars resemble bobsleds. th-cam.com/video/o9pXE2JSGj4/w-d-xo.html @ 5:18 . I'm not sure when it was first build but remember riding it in the 70s.
