That sure looked like a fun day on the lake and I bet that was some tasty fish. I enjoyed seeing you grilling also!!! Another great video John!!! All my best to you and Ms. Lulu!!!!
Hi Troy! The fish done whole on the grill like this was the tastiest ever! It was worth the little extra effort of picking out the bones. Thanks so much for stopping by! Thanks even more for taking the time to leave the kind words my friend! All the best to you and Karen!
Nadi, I don't know how I ever missed this comment 9 months ago! You're too kind! I'm so sorry! Thanks so much for watching my videos! Thanks even more for the very nice words my friend!
You definitely taught me something about cleaning bluegill whole. Plunging the knife behind the opercular flap and the pulling back and the guts come out. Genius. Great video and nice fish!
Hi Budder!! I learned that technique for the first time from watching an old VCR tape 20 years ago! Thanks so much for watching my videos! Thanks even more for the kind words my friend!
Hi Jenny! Whole grilled bluegill are wonderful! You don't have them in Germany, but any fish would work! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words my friend!
John, I haven't had fish with skin and tail still on since I was a kid. My Dad would catch Rainbow trout and mom would fry them in her cast iron skillet. We even ate the tail. So good! Loved this recipe brought back lot's of good memories!
Hi Janine! You must remember how good those trout were with the skin on! MMM!! Yes, even the tail is edible! Same here with these bluegill! I hope you get a chance to try them whole or with the skin on again soon! So delicious! Thanks so much for watching my videos my friend! Thanks even more for the kindness!!!
Hi Jonny!! This is the best time of year for fishing! I couldn't miss! LOL! The fish and asparagus were so delicious grilled this way! Thanks a million for watching and leaving the kind words amigo!!!
Haha, you do it all for the thrill and grill, and Lulu's love of course! Thanks for leaving the skin on and cooking them whole. I usually leave the head on too, because some of the best meat is around the head and cheek area. And of course, I also eat the eyes, they are pretty delicious haha!
Hi Siri! Lulu's love is most important of course! LOL! I've always known that fish taste better whole and with the skin on. Yes, the cheek areas have delicious little pieces of meat! But I couldn't leave the head on. Lulu did not want the fish looking back at her. I can't wait to tell her that you even eat the eyes! LOL!! I bet they are GOOD!! Thanks so much for your kindness my dear friend!
Good morning John, what a beautiful summer day fishing. Your yard is such a beautiful shade of green. That is one cool machine that takes the scales off the fish. Your grilled fish looked very good. Oh my grilled asparagus I bet they were Yummo! I will have to try that soon. We'll Miss Lulu knows you well with your team!! 😉 Hugs to you both and Thank you for the weekly smiles. Love you both!! ✨❤️
Hi Brenda! This day was beautiful! But we've had hardly any rain since then, and the grass is showing the stress. Even the leaves at the end of the trees are wilting. The scaling machine not only saves a lot of time but a big mess! LOL! This is the most sweet, tender and flavorful fish I can prepare! The great taste is worth the little bit of extra work to pick around the bones. The asparagus of course was wonderful done on the grill like this. At least there is something about me that Ms. Lulu loves, even if it is just my team! LOL! Thanks so much for your kindness my dear friend! All the best to you and Chris!
Hi Joe!!! I wish I had learned of this recipe sooner in life! You should have told me about it! LOL!! Fish whole on the grill like this is as delicious as fish gets!! My middle name is Gadgets! 😉 Thank you a million for watching my goofy videos my friend! Thanks especially for the kind words! All the best to you!
Hi Rick!! I almost had forgotten how delicious whole grilled fish is! It is worth the trouble to pick around the bones. Thanks so much for tuning in and leaving the good words my friend!
Hi Cheryl! Fish on the grill can't be beat, except maybe by the delicious asparagus! MMM! thanks so much for tuning in and for the really kind comment my dear friend!
Hi Sapo! This is the most sweet, tender and flavorful fish I can prepare! The great taste is worth the little bit of extra work to pick around the bones. Thanks so much for watching and for leaving such a kind comment my friend! Lulu and I send you and yours all the best!
I just had to say hello to my dear Julia before I get to bed! Have a wonderful week my friend! There is one lake - a thousand fishy ideas! LOL!! Thank you so much!!
Hi Chef John! Whole fish on the grill with lots of butter and seasoning works great! Thanks so much for watching! Thanks even more for the nice words my friend!
Why is it that you and I said goodbye years ago, but here you are. Right in my feed. Miss you so much. You're everything I wished I had living my childhood
Hi BaconWeights! Aww, man, I'm greatly honored and moved that I meant so much to you growing up. Making videos became a bit too much work for me, so I retired. But I'll be here for as long as I can to answer comments. Thanks so much for thinking of me. Thank you especially for the kind words. Ms. Lulu and I wish you all the best!
Hi Lyne!! I'm always so happy to see you! Asparagus are probably my favorite too if I give it some thought. This meal was super!! Thanks so much for stopping over and for the kind comment my dear friend!
Hi Duke! I was thinking of you while that metal drum was tumbling! You could make one of these scaling machines! You're more than handy enough! This was a great day to be out on the lake! Thanks so much for watching and thank you especially for the good words my friend! All the best to you and the gang!
I could build one probably but if it is constructed well then it would be good just to buy one. Please let me know how you like it in the future! I am pleased you were thinking about me and we all think kindly of you and Ms Lulu!
Duke, I've been using this scaling machine for about 12 years now. I use it two to three times a year. It always impresses me! I'm happy with it! Thanks again for your support my friend! Lulu sends her best to you all!
As always Juanelo, Great Video. We had whole bluegill with skin on many times when I was growing up. Wonderful flavor! Your video brought back fond memories of my parents and relatives at reunions by the lake. Be well my friend! Clayton
Hi Will! It had been a long time since I grilled bluegill whole like this! I had forgotten just how sweet and tender they are! It's worth the little extra trouble to pick around the bones. Ah! Fond memories!! Thanks so much for the kind words my friend! All the best to you!
Hi Corey! If you can get past the annoyance of bones, whole bluegills are about the best food in the world! Congrats on grilling them up yourself! Thanks loads for stopping by and for the nice comment my friend!
Hi Ben! Thanks so much for watching my videos! I hope to keep reeling in the fish! Thanks especially for your kind comment my friend! All the best to you!
Hi Manuel!! Super! I hope you can catch a mess of fish and cook them this way! They were really delicious! Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm very honored!
It sure looked like you had a beautiful day on the water! You're scaler it pretty awesome! This looked to be quite the summer delight of a recipe and menu choice!
Hi Aaron! The weather was gorgeous on this day! The electric scaler makes quick work of a messy job! The whole grilled fish is the BEST! The fish tastes tender, sweet and delicious this way! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words my friend!
Hi john and miss Lulu, that fish and asparagus looks fantastic. Loved this video as always and congratulations on 11K subscribers. Yes ! Have a wonderful week my friend
Hi Ange!! Golly gosh, the fish grilled whole this way is divine! It's worth the little bit of extra effort of picking around the bones! Thanks a million for noticing my numbers and mentioning it to me! Thanks so much for your support my dear friend!
You were on the fish again but when are you not...That lake is amazing...I really liked how you took the head and insides of that fish out with one motion also...Grilling them is another top notch way to cook fish...Putting the slits in them to help the seasoning get into them is very smart...Asparagus on the grill...My mother in law does that and WOW, yum yum...Go Cavs...
Hi Gonzo! Wow! You're on a roll, catching up with ALL my videos! These grilled whole bluegill were the tastiest way I've ever cooked them! I only wish you could eat fish. But you sat through the video anyway! I'm learning that all these vegetables I avoided as a kid are fantastic, especially asparagus! I think you're probably a Pistons fan, so I have to thank you for the cheer! Thanks for all the good words my friend!
That looked like a great day fishing, and the whole fish looked very good, I have been doing too much working and not enough fishing where have I gone wrong, lol.
Hi Jason! Eating whole fish is a treat! The flavor is so good that they are worth the extra effort of picking around the bones. Time to fish the great northwest, right? Get back on the path to happiness! LOL! Thanks so much for joining me and for the kind comment my friend!
Hi Juanelo!!!! it was such a nice video, and fish looks delicious yum yum!! I am your fan 😊, stay bless stay awesome, waiting for your next awesome video 😊
Hi KD! Thanks loads for watching my video! The fish turned out so tasty, well worth the extra effort of eating around the bones! Thanks so much especially for your very kind comment my friend! I'll try my best to make a good next video! All the best to you!
Hi Juanelo! Your page is amazing. I find myself coming back time and time again to get information on your videos. Sometimes i just come to watch cause your videos make me so happy! Your a great guy! Keep up the amazing work👌🏽
Hi CC!! I just read your comment out loud to Ms. Lulu Cheeks here. I'm so honored! It made my day! Thank you so much for watching my videos! Thanks mostly though for taking the time to leave the kind comment my friend!
Hi EverythingLove! Awww, so sweet! Our 3 year old grandson enjoys watching Grampa too! This is the tenderest, sweetest meat of any of my fish recipes. Just be careful with the bones! Thanks so much for watching! Thanks even more for the kind words my friend!
Hi EH! Was it you who requested that I do a video on cooking fish WHOLE? Yay!! Thank you for reminding me of this method! It is the tastiest way to prepare fish! It was tender, sweet and delicious! Thanks too for the kind comment my friend!
Hi James! We fish and cook about the same? Great going! I feel validated! LOL! Thanks so much for finding your way here and thanks especially for the kind comment my friend!
you know i noticed soemthing i can read into how your doing this i remember about 15 years ago watching a cooking show you are exactly to the Tee mimicing how they work all while adding you editing skills and personality and on top of it making a fun fishing video and how to's what lures at the start i mean your one very amazing person you will be youtube famouse in no time thank you very much for everything you do i seriously appreciat the amount of work you put into these
Hi Kyle! I printed out your comment and I'm having it framed for hanging in my kitchen! I'm so very honored! In fact you made my month! I try my best, but I always think I could do a lot better with these videos. Thank you so much for all your kindness my friend! All the best to you!
Hi SCO! I love them that way too, but they are easier to gut the way I showed, and my dinner guest requested "no heads, please!" LOL! Thanks so much for watching and for the really kind comment my friend!
Hi Harry! Bluegill are one of the tastiest fish of all! I only follow the recipes I find online. Lately I've been lucky because the recipes have turned out great! Thank you so much for watching my videos! Thanks especially for the good words my friend!
Hi Mr. Tbag! I once bought a device for filleting bluegill. It came with video cassette instructions on how to first remove the head and guts. If you have a sturdy knife, it's a breeze! Try it! Thanks so much for watching my videos and thank you even more for the kind words my friend!
Hi Don! But you have the delicious European perch, very closely related to our yellow perch. They may not fight quite as hard but they are so tasty! LOL! Thanks so much for watching and leaving the kind comment my friend!
Hi Rex! Great to see you again! Lulu doesn't like picking out all the bones either! They were so good though! Thanks so much for tuning in and for commenting my friend!
Hi Rudy!! Good eye my friend!!! We are starting to get some real plants growing! A guy nearby bow hunts for them and he has shot about 10 of them the last couple of years. It has helped! Thanks so much for watching and commenting my friend!
Love skin on fish, a good crispy skin is the best part! Congrats on all your subscribers Mi Tocayo....ay ay ay que maravilloso! Como lo haces? And with asparagoose? Deliciousness...our favorite vegetable (next to broccoli, tomato, avocado, radishes.....well you know) Juanelo, that grill looks too brand new...we need some more grilling action this summer, please. :) Congrats on the dinner date, your shirt looked spiffy and just right for it! The meal looked mouthwateringly delicious and magazine perfect. Congratulations on your supper and your team- wow!
Hi John, tocayo! When you look at who uses TH-cam, you see mostly young people. When you think about who likes to go fishing the most, you see mostly young people (most often boys). Boys want to fish with their grandpas! LOL! So it's not so much for the food, but the fishing that they join. Así es como lo hago! You're so right! The grill is too brand new! The last few months I've been diligently learning how to turn it ON and OFF! LOL! Time now to get grilling! It's hard to grill the little fishies that I catch though. But it's a challenge! It can be done! The taste of whole grilled fish is unbeatable! Delish! It's worth the trouble to pick around the bones. Yes our team won!!! I've been waiting for something good to happen here since the last time a team won, 52 years ago!! It was our turn, finally! Thanks loads and loads for the kindness amigo! All the best to you and yours down there at the hacienda!
Hi Lemoncrinkles! Yes! Whole fish on the grill is divine! Lulu managed! She loved the fish once she got past the bones LOL! Thanks so much my dear friend!
Hi John & Co.! This was so simple, yet so delicious! The scaling machine sure made it easier! Yes, I've also scaled fish with a spoon! It works! Thanks so much for watching and for the good words my friend!
Hi Iris! I don't get paid for my videos but the subscriber numbers are a source of pride. They're growing! Through the miracle of modern video editing, I can make myself look like a decent fisherman and cook! LOL! Thanks so much for watching! Thank you even more for taking the time to leave the kind words my friend!
Awesome Juanello,,, I need to remember how you cleaned that bluegill by just simply ripping the head down and pulling everything out,,, NIIIIICE... the grilled bluegill looked very tasty,,, and so did the asparagus,,, I also really liked that fish descaler,,, very nice... once again thanks for sharing my friend.
Hi Daniel! I saw the trick of gutting bluegill many years ago on TV. It's something everyone who likes whole-cooked bluegill should learn! The fish descaler is a godsend when you have dozens of fish to clean! This might be my favorite way to eat bluegill, but my dear Ms. Cheeks would rather have her fish filleted! Thanks so much for watching my shows and for your really kind words my friend!
Hi Angel! I don't know what it is about this small lake but the bluegill have always been large here! Thank you so much for stopping over! Thanks even more the kind words my friend!
Now that looks so good. Guess what I'm going to go catch next weekend? Yep bluegills. Boy she is she has you were she wants you. Lol. Great video. Ronnie. Texas.
Hi Ronnie! Yay!!! Go get a nice mess of big bluegill! They are one of the best tasting fish ever! I'm not about to give up on Ms. Cheeks! She'll come around to me one of these days! Thanks so much for the kindness my friend!
Hi Madison! OMG the fish cooked this way was divine! The little extra effort of picking around the bones is worth it! Ms. Lulu always leaves me a tad disappointed... but one of these days... I'll connect with her heart! Thanks so much for the kindness my friend!
Hi Cliff! I caught a fish on almost every cast it seemed! But this was a few weeks ago. They aren't so eager now that it has been near 90° every day! LOL! The tender sweet taste was incredibly good!! Thanks so much my friend for the kind comment!
That fish scaler is pretty neat! I've never seen one of those before. I've had problems with a gas grill like that before too. It gets air in the lines or something. Congrats on your team!
Hi Jim!! If I catch enough small fish to make it worthwhile, the fish scaler does a great job. It saves me time AND a big mess. Someone in an earlier video (Laurice) suggested that my tank was low on propane. She was right, it was a bit low. I swapped it out with a new tank and it works great now, 600°! You were probably rooting for Golden Gate, but I appreciate your congrats. It had been 52 years since we've won anything over here! It was just our time! LOL! Thanks for the kind comment my friend!
Hullo again from sunny Mediterranean ,once again an amazing and entertaining video Thanks again I should mention that in our places we cook fish whole most of times even with the head considering we get all the goodness of it
Hi Tony! Sorry I missed your comment earlier. I love whole cooked fish, bones and all! Unfortunately, in this country, we are more delicate and we have grown used to boneless fillets. Ms Lulu does NOT like to see the head of a fish. I'm not bothered by it at all. I'm used to handling fish! LOL! Thank you a million for watching my videos and thank you especially for the kind comment my friend!
Hi cr0cet! Fish done whole like this are wonderful! Too bad Ms. Lulu doesn't like to fiddle with the bones. For me, it's worth the effort! ... I've been answering 285 comments on my latest video from yesterday, along with all of your comments, and it's hard to keep up! If I skip a comment or two of yours, please don't feel I'm ignoring you, but I have to answer many others too.
Omg when you started 'trolling' I bursted out laughing...when my sis and I get on a canoe that's her favorite thing to do...watch me row to shore while she trolls, geesh. Really a great way to clean it out without cutting them open , wow I love that. I Love you boff :)
Hi Booger! Isn't trolling the easiest way to fish imaginable? LOL! It works every time! But when you have to row, it could be a pain in the butt! Glad you were able to watch through the gory parts of my fish cleaning! You're a champ my dear friend and we love you too! Thanks so much!!!
Another great video! To avoid the bones. I like to filet the fish and leave the skin on. This gives it a bit more flavor and the fish holds together better when grilling. Nice to see that Lulu loves you for something! Even if it is a bit obtuse!
Hi Ratdog! I suppose I could have done it your way. I think I'll do it that way the next time! It would have been easy enough! I know the Lulu gag was obtuse but after 2 or 3 years of gags, the scriptwriters are OUT of good ones! LOL! Thanks so much for watching and for the great comment my friend!
so many fish John your on fire today :) not heard of trolling but seems a cool way to catch a fish. that's a handy contraption. cool tips on prepping the fish. they look good John :)
Hi Kate! The fishing is alway at its best in spring and early summer! Alas, it's slowing down now though. Trolling is just slowly dragging the lure behind the boat! Too easy! The fish turned out so tender and delicious! Thanks so much for looking in on me and especially for your kind comment my friend!!
Hi Mike! This is as easy as it gets! I didn't even have to fillet the fish! It tasted so good that it was worth the little extra effort in picking around the bones! Thanks so much for the great comment my friend!
Way to load the boat Juanelo. I may have to try this one as well. My boys and I caught a mess of gills the other day, guess I should of kept them :) One thing for sure is we know Lulu LOVES your cooking! :) Good video buddy!
Hi Jim! You have to try bluegill on the grill like this! It can't get any easier, can it? It's delish, and well worth the little extra effort of picking around the bones! Ms. Lulu keeps coming back and that's a good sign for me! Thanks loads for watching and leaving the kind comment my friend!
Nice job John..... I have that same grill .... older model tho.. it will go to 600 in no time... I love it.... .... I love the recipe you did with the grilled fish and Asparagus .. Yum... Tell Ms. LuLu Cheeks she looked lovely today.... Thanks John...:)
Hi Tom!! Good that you have this grill too! Someone in an earlier video (Laurice) suggested that my tank was low on propane. She was right! I swapped it out with a new tank and it works great now, 600°! The fish grilled, whole like this, was the tastiest ever! It was worth the little extra effort to pick around the bones. I can't wait to pass along your kind words to Ms. Lulu! Thanks so much my friend! All the best to you down there in Texas!
another great video John to watch I got myself a time trial bike someone gave it to me as a gift and I've been training a lot I done a 10 km sprint on the bike today
Hi Mr Mate! Congratulations on the new bike! WOW! 10 km sprint!! That's a challenge! I would never make it to the finish line! LOL! Thanks for watching the video my friend!
Hi Danny! Fish done whole on the grill is the best!! It's worth the extra work to pick around the bones. Thanks so much for watching and especially the good words my friend!
Hi R3FL! It's all smoke and mirrors and the magic of video editing! LOL! This was a rare day when fishing was easy. Thank you so much for watching my videos and especially for the kind comment my friend!
You Must Turn On The Gas Before Lighting Up The Grill For 15 Seconds So It Can Have Time To Get The Gas To All The Burners. Great Video By The Way Loved It!
Hi Juan! You're right! The tank was a bit low, and I've switched tanks since then, but I found that turning the tank OFF then opening the valve again did the trick! Thanks so much for watching my videos! Thanks even more for the great suggestion my friend!
another great video! reminds me of the way we ate panfish at my grandpa's place at the lake. that was the only way he would eat them. he had a small board with bottle caps nailed to them scale them! good times.
Hi Freeb! Your grandpa was on to something! I don't blame him! Yes, the bottle cap trick works very well! Thanks so much for watching and especially for the nice comment my friend!
Great video my friend! Hope all is well with you and Ms. Lulu. When your grill does that it's air locked. Make sure you shut the gas off and keep burners open. Let the air-fuel come out till it stops hissing. (Most important is gas shut off at the valve). Shut all burners down and re ignite. Should fix it from varying temperatures
Hi bomluke! This grilled fish recipe is as easy as it gets! And it was delish!!! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words my friend! I'll do my best!
I bomluke! I have a gas grill as you see, but I don't know anything about smoking. I probably couldn't make your recipe on a video, but I am curious to see it. Maybe I can learn about smoking, huh? Either way, thanks so much again for watching my videos and especially for the super-kind recipe offer my friend!
hey you make the best and funniest videos i also fish as a passion so thats another reason i watch your videos. Im usually use to catching the fish you catch but now, im in Washington state so i get to catch salmon on a boat and i get to catch trout to
Hi Dragon! Up there in WA you have all sorts of additional adventurous fishing available! Thank you so much for watching my videos! Thanks you even more for your very kind comment my friend!
Looks amazing! Love that trick about cutting off the head and pulling out the guts. I wonder if that would work with a bass? Do tell. And you're making progress with Ms Lulu ... At least she LOVES your team.
Hi Anne!! The guts come right out every time! Since Ms. Lulu doesn't like to see her food looking back at her, this was the idea technique! Someone else asked the same question. But I don't know the answer. I've only seen this method done with bluegill. I bet it would work with bass because they are in the sunfish family too, and the anatomies are remarkably similar inside. I'll try it sometime to see! Yes, Ms. Lulu and I are making huge strides! She only disappointed me a little this time! LOL! Thanks so much for your kindness my friend!
Great video! I think showing how to clean the fish is very important since you are catching the fish also. When I was a kid, a hundred years ago or so, we always ate the fish whole, with the skin. My dad was an avid trout fisherman and we had those often. We loved the crispy skin as much as the entire fish. Maybe more! Please add to your information just how big Lake Ketchabigwon is. I'm curious to know and I think others might be also. There sure are a lot of fish, that is for sure.
Hi Terry! Yes, I should add that to info listed! Fisherman Joe is right, it's 6 acres. Isn't the fish skin delicious?! Oh my, I love it! I had to remove the head of the fish though. Ms. Lulu wanted no part of that! LOL! I used another of your gags this weekend, and I think it came off great! Thank you very much!!! It wont be posted for a couple of weeks though. Lake K offers an endless (I hope) supply of fish! Thanks a million for always tuning in to my videos and especially for being so kind!! All the best to you and Dorothy!
Hi Manuel! I've been catching fish at this rate or better for 30 years now. I don't think I'll run out! I hope not! Thanks so much for watching y muchísmas gracias por las palabras amables mi amigo!
Hi KB! You have to try this recipe! The sweet tender taste is incredible and well worth the little extra work of picking out the bones! Thanks so much for taking the time to leaven the kind words my friend!
Hi Jacob! Thanks so much for watching my videos and thank you even more for taking the time to leave the kind comment my friend! Say hi to your friends for me!
Hi Pablo!! Save your mullah for your own Lake Ketchabigwon! Anyone can buy property with a pond or small lake! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind comment my friend!
Hi Barbara and Mr. Hernandez! This fish was as tasty as any fish can get! I highly recommend this recipe! Thanks so much for the kind words my friends!!! All the best to you!

whatever you say.
Nadi, I don't know how I ever missed this comment 9 months ago! You're too kind! I'm so sorry! Thanks so much for watching my videos! Thanks even more for the very nice words my friend!
I love the upbeat cozy feel of your videos. I could watch them all day and night. Please never stop making them the way they are!
Hi Kc! I'll do my best to make good videos! Thanks so much for watching them, and thanks even more for the kind comment my friend!
Great tip Juanelo! Going to enjoy more bluegills this way! Tight line friends 🎣
ha ha, Miss LuLu said the bones were "problematic" -- so technical! :)
Hi TLCN! That's what I've come to expect from the English professor that she is! LOL!!
The grilled Bluegill looks fantastic Juanelo! Big thumbs up for you, my dear friend :-) All the best, Jenny ☼
You are so great at what you do John. Love the fish and asparagus and the video. :)
I don't know why but this channel is the most entertaining one I've seen, my kind of humor, fishing and cooking. keep up the good work.
Hi Keaton!! Thanks a million for watching my videos! Thanks even more for the really kind comment my friend! I'll try my best to keep them coming!
I am a fan of fish cooked this way, being Native American myself. Great video andgreat gadgets you have!
John your bluegill was grilled to perfection and the asparagus looked amazing great fish gutting skills.
Hi Rick!! I almost had forgotten how delicious whole grilled fish is! It is worth the trouble to pick around the bones. Thanks so much for tuning in and leaving the good words my friend!
Looks delicious!!! The asparagus looks so yummy too...Love your fishing too...great catch! Have fun the two of you!
Hi Cheryl! Fish on the grill can't be beat, except maybe by the delicious asparagus! MMM! thanks so much for tuning in and for the really kind comment my dear friend!
I love your videos. They are full of life and make me happy.

Lovely way to cook the fish Juanelo... They sure look delicious. God bless you and your wife!!
Hi Sapo! This is the most sweet, tender and flavorful fish I can prepare! The great taste is worth the little bit of extra work to pick around the bones. Thanks so much for watching and for leaving such a kind comment my friend! Lulu and I send you and yours all the best!
Time flies!! Already Monday again! wow. I really admire that you have so many recipe ideas for fish John! It looks good! Have a great week!

Another great fishing day. Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies. Everything looks so delicious.
Hi Lyne!! I'm always so happy to see you! Asparagus are probably my favorite too if I give it some thought. This meal was super!! Thanks so much for stopping over and for the kind comment my dear friend!
Great fun fishing and good tip for cleaning blue gill Juanelo! Beautiful weather and enjoyed the cookout!
Just grilled whole bluegill for my first time thanks to you... my family loved them.. thank you!!
Hi Corey! If you can get past the annoyance of bones, whole bluegills are about the best food in the world! Congrats on grilling them up yourself! Thanks loads for stopping by and for the nice comment my friend!
You two are really cute! Keep reeling in those fish, John!

Hi Dopey! Thanks a million for watching my videos! Thanks even more for such a kind comment my friend!
I like them cooked with head and all lol
Hi SCO! I love them that way too, but they are easier to gut the way I showed, and my dinner guest requested "no heads, please!" LOL! Thanks so much for watching and for the really kind comment my friend!
I love eating bluegill. why don't more people do this? Your culinary skills are great and I can't thank you enough for these recipes! :)
Hi Harry! Bluegill are one of the tastiest fish of all! I only follow the recipes I find online. Lately I've been lucky because the recipes have turned out great! Thank you so much for watching my videos! Thanks especially for the good words my friend!
Juanelo1946 your very welcome!
Never knew that neat gutting trick, going to try it myself! Looks great Juanelo.
Hi Mr. Tbag! I once bought a device for filleting bluegill. It came with video cassette instructions on how to first remove the head and guts. If you have a sturdy knife, it's a breeze! Try it! Thanks so much for watching my videos and thank you even more for the kind words my friend!
Great video!! That fish scaler was really cool!
Hi Hooked Up!! I love that scaler! Makes skin on fish so easy! Thanks so much for watching and especially thanks for the nice comment my friend!
Aahh Bisto !! Wish we had Bluegills in Scotland they look fun to catch. Great video ! !!
Hi Don! But you have the delicious European perch, very closely related to our yellow perch. They may not fight quite as hard but they are so tasty! LOL! Thanks so much for watching and leaving the kind comment my friend!
I'm not big on eating fish whole, but they look yummy! Fantastic Video John! Thanks For Sharing My Friend!
Hi Rex! Great to see you again! Lulu doesn't like picking out all the bones either! They were so good though! Thanks so much for tuning in and for commenting my friend!
I see some plant life in the pond. looks like you got those grass carp under control. great video!
Hi Rudy!! Good eye my friend!!! We are starting to get some real plants growing! A guy nearby bow hunts for them and he has shot about 10 of them the last couple of years. It has helped! Thanks so much for watching and commenting my friend!
I love watching your videos Juanelo.
Hey Joe!! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave the kind words my friend!
these videos are great for beginners but I still love them
Hi HTG! I'm just a weekend angler myself! Nothing fancy here! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words my friend!

i wish i had a boat house its nice to have acess to the lake right in your yard
Wow...delicious results on the grill. And Miss Lulu was a good sport about the bones! (:
Hi Lemoncrinkles! Yes! Whole fish on the grill is divine! Lulu managed! She loved the fish once she got past the bones LOL! Thanks so much my dear friend!
Looked great my friend! We love Cajon seasoning! That is a really cool de-scaler, when we scale our fish we use a spoon. LOL!
Hi John & Co.! This was so simple, yet so delicious! The scaling machine sure made it easier! Yes, I've also scaled fish with a spoon! It works! Thanks so much for watching and for the good words my friend!
juanelo u r such an amazing fisherman and cook, im surprises that u dont have over 3 million subs . Keep up the good work , and fish on !!
Haha! Great video. And those bluegill!!!! That is considered lunkers around here.
Hi Angel! I don't know what it is about this small lake but the bluegill have always been large here! Thank you so much for stopping over! Thanks even more the kind words my friend!
Well, for goodness sake...I'm sorry, Juanelo. I totally forgot about this delicious preparation. Yum!
Hi Stef! This whole fish was utterly delish! I wish Ms. Lulu wasn't so adverse to the bones. Thank you so much for coming over!
You sure had a great day fishing and your grilled fish looked awesome. Hahahaha Ms Lulu does it again. :-)
Hi Madison! OMG the fish cooked this way was divine! The little extra effort of picking around the bones is worth it! Ms. Lulu always leaves me a tad disappointed... but one of these days... I'll connect with her heart! Thanks so much for the kindness my friend!
Those grilled fish looked so good! And boy they were biting that day!
Saw one video of you juanelo and loved this channel right away
Hi Moises!! Thanks so much for watching my videos and thanks especially for taking the time to leave the kind words my friend!
nice vid nice food nice day never see that quick and easy way to gut a fish great tip
Thanks so much!!!
always love and enjoy watching your videos
Hi FAO! Thanks loads and loads for stopping over and leaving the kind comment my friend!

Hi Alla!! I had been wondering where you have been too! LOL! Let's never leave each other again! OK? LOL!!! You're my favorite!

Hi Mr. Smiley! FISH ON!! LOL!!! Whole bluegill are the best! Thank you so much for watching and especially for the kind comment my friend!
Looks Very Tasty!!! Thanks for sharing! Dave from Wv!
Hi Dave! Great to see you again! Thanks so much for watching my videos! Thank you even more for the kind comment my friend!
I love the casting blooper!
Evan, I had to use another fishing rod and lure to fish the rod out of the water! LOL!
+Juanelo1946 did you use obscenities when you dropped your rod in the water?
A few, yes! LOL!
great video, the simple recipes can be delicious too.
All the best to you down there in Texas!
your videos always put a smile on my face :)
Hi Cheaperz! Thanks so much for watching my videos and especially for the very kind comment! I'm flattered!
another great video John to watch I got myself a time trial bike someone gave it to me as a gift and I've been training a lot I done a 10 km sprint on the bike today
Hi Mr Mate! Congratulations on the new bike! WOW! 10 km sprint!! That's a challenge! I would never make it to the finish line! LOL! Thanks for watching the video my friend!
Those fish looked great and I love your videos
Hi Danny! Fish done whole on the grill is the best!! It's worth the extra work to pick around the bones. Thanks so much for watching and especially the good words my friend!
You make fishing look so easy😂
Great video👌🏻
Hi R3FL! It's all smoke and mirrors and the magic of video editing! LOL! This was a rare day when fishing was easy. Thank you so much for watching my videos and especially for the kind comment my friend!
Love your videos ,fun and educational. ..class act. thanks
Hi Luke! Thanks a million for watching my videos and especially for taking the time to leave the kind message my friend!
Thanks, that's good to know.
very good fishing juanelo
Hi Hunter! Thanks a million for watching my videos! Thank you even more for the kind words my friend!
Nice recipe sir.. Looking forward to watching more videos.. Cheers..
Hi bomluke! This grilled fish recipe is as easy as it gets! And it was delish!!! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words my friend! I'll do my best!
+Juanelo1946 I have a smoked fish recipe if you want I can send it to you. Perfect for bass and bluegills.
I love your videos! Congratulations on 11 thousand!!!!!!!
Hi Tessa!! Aww! Thanks loads for watching my videos! Thanks especially for your kind words my friend!! MUCH APPRECIATED!
Damm Juanelo, that lake must be full of fish, and of course it looks delicioso, saludos amigo
Hi Manuel! I've been catching fish at this rate or better for 30 years now. I don't think I'll run out! I hope not! Thanks so much for watching y muchísmas gracias por las palabras amables mi amigo!

Hi Superman! Thank you very much for the kind words my friend! I'll try my best!
Looks delish and thanks a million for the recipe
Hi KB! You have to try this recipe! The sweet tender taste is incredible and well worth the little extra work of picking out the bones! Thanks so much for taking the time to leaven the kind words my friend!
