- Author Douglas Murray has broken down US President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet appointments.
“This is a very serious administration that’s being put together with some very distinguished figures in it already,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“It’s also clear that there’s going to be no recruiting of people who aren’t Trump loyalists.”

@@blakesleyk.7166 For Tulsi to go into most spots in the cabinet, she would have to retire from her commission in the Army - as she is still an active LtCol in the US Army Reserves. To be honest, I am not so sure she wants to do that. Would she have made a better SecDef that Hegseth? We shall see, but again she would have needed to resign her commission. But, just keep that in mind. If she has told the President-Elect that she wants to stay as an active reservist officer, there are a lot of spaces she just can't occupy.
Although it can never be said, much like JFK and his famous issues with the Joint Chiefs and Curits LeMey- this group of top brass I would imagine from their statements and pushing of DEI and racial theory academic books into the rank in file... well I would imagine the President-Elect and this group of top brass will have an antagonistic relationship. Even if informal, if LtCol Gabbard can offer Mr Trump some informal advise on the Chiefs - a role we may never see, but that would be a vital one for him.

Wonderful, we as Americans need to thank GB for our genius forefathers that gave us the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Following the English Civil War the colonists of Virginia were left unhindered by any British political interference. They prospered economically and developed independant self government with legal structuresl based on English common law. American ports and free trade enjoyed protection the Royal Navy. The American colonies contributed through tarrifss levied on exported cargo. When the British Crown attempted to impose tarrifs on the Coilonies imported goods (tea) it broke the convention that the British Crown had no authority or precedent to impose any form of internal tariff or tax within the American colonies. Ostensibky this was because although the citizens of the North American colonies were British subjects they had no legal or official representation within the English Parliament. No taxation without representation was a foundational principle recognised within the very legal charters granted by the English Crown to the North American Colonies. Those North American Englishmen thought long and hard and having made their decision they fought long and hard because it was neither treason nor crime but their moral duty to overthrow a monarch made illegitimate by attempting to impose tyranny in his rule.
Actually a French millitary man remarked some years after the fall of Quebec that these North American colonists are such people that will one day gain such strength of character as to throw off even their British rule. However, Great Britain will learn to be grateful because I see some time in the future these North American colonies grown so powerful will eventually come to save the British themselves from some potential terrible defeat or disaster.

It's remarkable what Murray has done with his career. He is a distinguished author, journalist, analyst and commentator all done with exquisite elegance and articulation. He has an amazing ability to investigate and write about contemporary affairs. His last three books are contemporary bibles of history.
