@Xlice You don't have to do these tests yourself. Just place your artifacts & weapons in the genshin optimizer website and let it do the calculations. So much effort to calculate yourself ... when it's not needed anymore.

However if you really want to level Yanfei and especially because you got her C1 (which is a fair constellation to have) then I'd say invest in her first

I use Yanfei with the Widsit and even without having the best artifacts she deals even 18K+ of damage with her elemental skill (without activating the Q burst). She's an amazing character, if you get many of her constellations you cna even get a shield which make her a great complement to almost any team. I love her!
Yanfei became my main pyro DPS after I got her to C5. And I'm just a fish- This has been really helpful for me to be able to get Yanfei to her fullest potential!

@@treesspeaklatin8950 coming from a fun comp-seeker, i think the amount of fun a person can get from her is very dependent on her build/how fast you can get her shield and ult back, so it’s really up to rng whether she’s fun or not lol
One thing that I think is worth noting about Wine & Song is, it requires you to sprint for the damage buff, but you ideally want to be saving stamina for charged attacks rather than sprinting, especially if you don't have Yanfei's C1 for the stamina cost reduction (or aren't running her with Diona's shield or Anemo resonance for stamina reduction). her playstyle kind of rewards staying still so that you can get more charged shots off, especially when you have the Brilliance buff from her burst.
"You can't animation cancel her charge atk that easily" You can say that again...its extremely hard to time so that you can cancel without cancelling her charge atk entirely..
Her charged attacks happens quite fast, and if you animation cancel it while her stamp is still in the air, it cancels it completely. Because of that, I just charge attack and wait for it go down, then jump. It doesn't really benefit her lmao, the benefit is too low

I have yanfei and I wanted to try something other than the previous pyro main dps builds i'd done for her. The artifacts section really helped me figure out what i wanted to try out for her.

one thing i want to add is that if you proc Sacrificial Fragment's passive (reset cd at a 40% chance), you can do a cool combo. (3-hit, charge, E, 1-hit if needed, charge, E, charge). this only works because if i recall, yanfei's E will give her 2-3 seals
21:33 I would have said Ganyu over Chongyun, her ult gives well cryo applications for a good amount of time in a nice aoe. And if built for support can have great uptime
@@lynx2244 what are you talking about, have you never head of dps and sub dps. One is close range one is far ranged. One provides pyro the other cryo. Are you not making the connection? Chongyun has fuck all for cryo if you can't use his e and weave in pyro like Chongyun with Diluc. Yanfei is a catalyst user so no Chongyun E but a 1 time ult cryo application here and there isn't enough to be consistent by any means. there is no point for it. Same with qiqi no use for it. Keaya is great and all but for someone so squishy it means you need to be so close. Ganyu offers the most consistent, off the field cryo while in a large enough aoe to not be in someone croch.
When I got her I just realize I have all wanderer trope set prepare for her, I have the widsith and for the top of the cherry got a goblet with Pyro bonus from Azhdaha with good sub stats.
suprised you don't use mona over fishcl/zhong for more setups with Yan. It enables taunt to let you charge, more water debuffs and her ults while being a big vaporize option, also applies a huge damage debuff for a bit that's great for using right before swapping into Yanfei Q > Charged spam?
I’m building mine in a meme support (shield + healer) role, c4 + prototype amber, and all hp artifacts (2 piece millelith, 2 piece glad) I think she’s gonna have like a 15k hp shield at the end, which is nowhere near my full hp c5 Zhongli build (full millelith + r1 SoH) who has 48k hp, and his shield gives 23k ish hp, but she does decent healing for my Hu Tao (I don’t need a lot of healing on her)
im ar40 , i dont have any five star artifacts or weapons with me , but i deal like 11k damage with charged attacks with yanfei(lvl70), is it good ? EDIT : i use widsith ref 1

I know this was made before 1.6, but is Dodoco Tales a good weapon for Yanfei or is widsith better? Also I wish I got a good pyro damage cup/attack sands soon.
R5 dodoco tales is rlly nice if you don't have any refinement on widsith, but if you have around R4 widsith, i'd go with that. dodoco tales is more consistent but since its substat is atk then you should have some pretty good artifacts to balance it out. widsith is good for quick swap teams and if you can maintain elemental reactions well, though.
Dodoco Tales is better if your Widsith is R1-R3. If your Widsith is R4-R5 then definitely run Widsith. It also depends on if you need Crit DMG or not. I personally run R1 widsith on her over dodoco tales because I need the Crit DMG more.

I use dodoco tales on her and she is able to do as much damage as my other characters even being underleveled by 10 and her artifacts are not a big deal so I think it’s a good choice as well

When your ar is that low, don't focus at all on artifacts, just put whatever you have. After ar40-45 is were you should start grinding and focusing on them, cause you get 5* artifact drops

@fruitxxi farm the millillith set (2 piece for more hp, 4 for full support) he’s also good on 4 piece bolide, and 2 piece noblesse, and 2 piece Petra
@fruitxxi bolide would be your best bet, run an hp% sands, geo damage cup, and crit rate or crit damage hat depending on your needs
@fruitxxi also prioritize hp% substats as much as you can
When u don’t have xingqiu c6 u can’t really vap with yanfei since she applies pyro to fast
