Honestly my favorite thing about Yaoyao is she heals with her E. I dunno if they do this on purpose, but most of the 4 Star healers can only heal through burst. Before Yaoyao the only exceptions were Barbara and Kuki, and having healing on standby without worrying about upkeep is so nice in the open world

I guess so. But out all of those 4 stars, only Diona is an actual healer that requires burst. The rest (Noelle, XQ, Dori, Gorou, Benny, Sayu) are secondary healer at most and won't considered as reliable healers anyways.

yaoyao in comparison to the 3.0 onwards characters feels so complete at c0 it's so refreshing. imagine if we had her at 3.0 instead of collei, i don't think anybody would ever be using collei at all lol
I find it sus that most of the previous 4 stars in Sumeru more or less kinda suck, but once a new 4 star in Liyue is released, they are often interestingly better than the new ones in the other nation.
That, or I might be just overthinking.

I remember everyone giving inazuma characters (some of them anyway) the side eye or were kinda uninterested in them/their kits, then comes along a new character who happens to be from liyue, her kit ALSO just happened to be the most straightforward one in a while (build her as ur standard sub dps with emblem and boom) with perfect scalings on everything yadayadayada.

After pulling her, I immediately started a 4 stars only hyperbloom team with Kuki Gorou Barbara Yaoyao and it cleared floor 12 2nd half easily. Definitely of the best 4 stars we’ve had around

Kuki is my favourite healer in the game because she's not burst reliant, but yaoyao can heal just as good while not having to worry about low health feels good...
plus for my level and artifacts atm i get around 1200-1300 heals per second if both Es are active

Indeed. She isn't broken like some of the launch 4*s but very solid like most of the pre-2.0 4*s who aren't named Xinyan. While the 2.x patch cycle was hit or miss (mostly miss) with 4*s it has only gotten worse since 3.0. Nearly every new 4* is just whale bait that barely functions without multiple constellations. YaoYao is a nice return to sanity.
@@Nowaylarry kuki is a glaring contradiction to basically everything you just wrote. Utterly amazing at c0 and became god tier with dendro release. Tbh I use her more than the OG broken units like fischl and bennett
@@Nowaylarry speaking of which, fischl the original electro archon doesn't become truly amazing until c6. There's nothing wrong with c6 unlocking a major amount of power. Yunjin is another post 3.0 4 star that is incredible at c0, while becoming absolutely amazing at c6. Your generalizations only make sense if you haven't actually played the game and tried out the 4 star chars they've been releasing post 3.0.
@@nojustno3331 Kuki and YunJin both were pre-3.0 and Kuki was very mediocre pre-dendro. She was just a downgrade in taser and was anti-synergistic with overload due to knockback and slow electro application. Dendro brought her up to being one of the best post launch 4*s. That said she really only shines in hyperbloom though that is the best dendro reaction.
Yun Jin is very overrated. She is good but really only for Yoimiya. Every other use of her is just a sidegrade or downgrade to other options. That said she is probably the fourth or fifth best post launch 4*.
Fischl's c6 is less than a 20% damage increase. Less than 10% in some comps that don't make use of normal attack spam. While it is a solid constellation she is already broken at c0. At least in aggravate or taser comps.
I have multiple accounts and have been playing since launch. While I haven't extensively used every 5* in the game I have thoroughly tested every 4* at different levels of investment.
My issue isn't with c6 being important constellations for 4*s. My issue is 4*s who are complete wastes of resources without c6. That is just whale bait.
Since I got her, she has not left my main team. She is so damn versatile and even in her healing position she usually helps me deal a bunch more damage. Plus, the ulti heal is just mad.

Fr. I freaking love pair them 2 + Zhongli because then Ayato would have high resistance from getting knocked. For healer I use Barbara so yeah. It's a "lazy" team that I use to kill weekly bosses except for the wolf boss so far (havent try yet with Shouki boss). That dude I'd use HuTao's team for him. I call them lazy team because I dont need to dodge and I know the time taken for killing on some bosses would be longer but Im just lazy to bother switching teams frequently haha

I love her entire concept and she’s soooo cute. Aside from her kit I love how they named her. Idk which character they use for her name in Chinese, but yào can sometimes mean medicine. Also yue can mean moon, which is a reference to the Chinese folktale about the rabbit on the moon. Overall I just love how complete she feels, and all the thought that was put into her kit and names.
If you want your yaoyao to heal some more, I recommend hp%, hp%, healing bonus. Mine heals 2k per tick

SHE DOES LESS DAMAGE BUT SHE HEALS
HER TARGETTING IS GODLIKE BECAUSE SHE HITS DIFF ENEMIES AND SHE HAS A BURST HEAL WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH A TICKET TO A FULL HP TEAM WITH A CLICK OF A BUTTON
If we're actually comparing, she's more likely a mix of Barbara+Kokomi with a sprinkle of Yae.
@@anyaaa2801 idk it's pretty much 1 to 1 with fischl. Drop your familiar with E and swap out, then burst and become the familiar for a few seconds and repeat. That's basically exactly what fischl does
I find using dragon's bane on her quite nice in Nilou's team comp. Gets additional EM and has higher dmg against enemies who have hydro, which is perfect for bloom.
The blooms themselves do damage so dragons bane passive doesn't apply

@@astarte_ It still has twice the EM of the two craftable EM spears. It is a fine option if you already have good ER substats though you would need a lot of them. Personally I'm just running Fav on her.
i've got her at c2 and have been using her in a burgeon team with kazuha klee and kokomi (kokomi will be replaced with yelan soon) and its probbably the most fun ive had with a team in a while, its just explosions everywhere, the mobs are just sent flying off into space like team rocket and it it makes for some hilarious gameplay

Yaoyao on field time is very useful with xinqgiu and his burst so you can apply hydro and dendro instantly and apply just a lot of dendro aoe

Fantastic work I waited too long for this guid I heard she’s added on standard next update which will be great after I get her free this coming event.
I got Alhaitham in only 11 pulls (my luckiest banner so far!) and only continued pulling, because I WANTED a YaoYao. In the end I got her to C2 and I'm so happy. I run her with Alhaitham, Fischl and Kokomi and it works really well!

I'm just glad she doesn't rely on burst too much. The previous 4 star supports I built all needed 200+ energy recharge, so this feels like a breath of fresh air.

I have nilou and Ive been playing her with triple hydro (nilou, kokomi, xq) + nahida bc until now it has not been comfortable to play double hydro + double dendro. now that yaoyao is out though, id be very interested in knowing everything about a double hydro + double dendro comp in order to free up my kokomi. so basically im suggesting a nilou guide again, or a bloom guide idk, but with focus on the team building rather than just one unit, with info like who to put EM on, what are the best artifact sets in each character and etc.

Love the coming of Yaoyao as a healer and an alternative for my Barbara in Nilou team. As I have Nilou with C2, having a damaging Hydro character instead will help a lot. LIke Yelan =)
I’m pretty sure that Favonious series needed the character to be ON FIELD to get that energy particles benefit. and so, for people that only uses Yaoyao for her E, it’s gonna “useless” if you aren’t going to be on-field with yaoyao/burst.
it's pretty whatever, one hit or two is enough to get a proc. Weaving in a normal attack is pretty low cost.
I'm using her in a hyper bloom team with ayato , kuki and Dendro traveler but I'm planning on replacing the traveler with nahida when I get her for her huge em buff. I like that team because you get double healing so you don't need to worry about ayato getting killed while using his E , and also Dendro resonance which also increases elemental mastery.
With all that kuki is doing the most damage even more than ayato +10k per hyperbloom reaction

I've been getting back into the game and just bothered to build Yaoyao. There are two things I REALLY like about her. First, is that running C2 Kazuha with her in a Fischl and (Yae or Keq) team is a SIGNIFICANT damage boost over even doing something like Keq/Fischl/Nahida/ and Jean or Kokomi. Secondly, it lets me run quicken on one side, AND still run hyperbloom (Raiden, Nahida, XQ, Zhongli) on the other.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with yaoyao, tighnari, Kokomi, and raiden for hyperbloom team!

In an amazing streak I ended up with a C6 Yaoyao without even trying. So I built her up and she might not be OP, but she is surprising strong and a refreshing change of pace.
Nice that means that now I can remove prototype Amber from my Nahida.
I will try to see how much damage i lose using Yaoyao or maybe I will get more damage further testing is required.

I'm using Yaoyao to applicate the Dendro res decrease from the Deepwood memories 4set. Considering I didn't play during Nahida and have to resort to Yaoyao is pretty sad, but my Alhaitham is still really strong :)

Yaoyao has changed my game forever, in the best wat possible. Before I was relying on Layla for shield but it would take up my hyperbloom reaction. Yaoyao is op in my case and I’m honestly kinda wishing I didn’t pull with my saved primos on raidens weapon and saved them for her. Witch was my main perpouse. with the release of characters that can run various artifacts, i only hope that HYV give us artifact loadout feature. changing artifacts across all over characters we have is a pain in the ass

@@souhilremache8661 Yaoyao won’t do as much offensive damage as Kokomi with the set, but for a healer & dendro applicator role, it’s perfectly fine to use if you don’t want to farm and level up another set.

I'm building my Yaoyao as of now since I lost the 50/50 on a Xiao banner and I'm going to give her Xiao's Jade Spear. She is lvl 80 and her talent is 1/7/7 at the moment. I'm still trying to build the right artifact for her because they are the only one I struggling with because of the bad roll I keep getting.
I know everyone says Fav Lance, but I prefer Black Tassel. It's HP% sub-stat (equiv. at max to an HP% sands?) with an ER% sands (more ER% than Fav Lance before passive?) is enough and allows for a healing bonus circlet, or just avoiding having to also hunt for (and roll into) CR on artifacts. Also I'm not really going to re-farm artifacts for less ER% on my other party members to get the max value out of Fav Lance.
As always zyox's voice is very deceitful, hiding his chaotic personality with such a calm soothing voice.
BTW very helpful guide I think I'll pick her as my character for this years lantern rite.

I got her recently while pulling for Wanderer and c6 Faruzan. She will be a great addition for my Keqing team. I had DMC and Jean, but now I’ll be able to run Yaoyao and Kazuha, which should give me much higher damage. Also, she one of the few characters, that can use the Sages polearm from recent event
THIS. THIS. This convinced to build Yaoyao after leaving her in the dust for days. And I'm glad honestly she's a good healer and quite easy to build. I will not rest until I fully build her.

since I use her in Nilou's team, I just build her hybrid with ER sand, HP% goblet and healing circlet, 4 piece Tenacity and DB as the weapon, around 180% of ER with enough HP and EM (forgot how much), she's there just for dendro resonance and extra healing
I was in Sumaru doing the last archon quest on the floating boat without her and pulling her within the last second without knowing a power, I would’ve died without her !!! I’m so happy
Watching how her kit works made me think of using her as my healer than barbara. I'm a hp freak on my chars I don't want them to get below 50% hp. Hence why I didn't build other 4 stars healers aside from barbara since I can heal with both burst and skill, compared to the other 4 stars. Quite perfect as well since Im current using quicken team with nahida and raiden. I thought of using her as a energy generator helper for nahida. Since my nahida is full em.. 🐇🐇
