I just found you after not saving you to favorites...LOVING all these projects! I quilted Nine stockings last month, but am ready for these beautiful ornaments NOW, to have ready for next year! Thank you!
@@ShabbyFabrics I absolutely love this on my tree! Your directions are so great, and it was so easy with the little 2 1/2" strips, which I invested in awhile ago. I used a gold bow and hanger and it is just precious. Thank you so much and once I get some pictures of these on my tree I am sharing them on FB.
Jennifer, I absolutely love your tutorials, you explain things so well, and I just love your projects, I just made one of your 3D snowflakes and it turned out so pretty, and I had fun doing it. Thank you so much for sharing!
That is cute. Ive made one of your round styrofoam ball ornaments but i found that 2 1/2 inch squares were a bit small so i went up to 3" an its working out better.
Mary Kay Harman our eggs measure 4 inches from tip to tip, but this technique can be applied to any size egg. You may just need more squares to go around the wider section of a larger egg 😊
I have just made 8 of your gorgeous Christmas baubles, BUT! I'm in the UK and cant get nay Hoffman Jingle pops over here, in a nice Christmas fabrics what size are the polystyrene's eggs?? Jennie in Cambridgeshire UK
Yes you are more than welcome to use that kind of styrofoam instead. Anything you feel like would secure it you can use. Make sure to use your pins to hold it in place. - Yajaira
Unfortunately, the Jingle Pops were VERY popular and sold out and are no longer available for us to order! We do have a wide selection of Jelly Rolls which will work beautifully for this project! Jelly Rolls: bit.ly/JellyRollsShabbyFabrics
Do you mean press as you go? You can definitely do that if you'd like! If you are wanting to finger press without and iron, you can do that as well, but the pieces won't lay as flat or sharp :)

😍💕💖 We’re glad this tutorial brings back some fond memories 😍💖 -Michelle
I made some of these a couple of years ago but used the same fabric for the whole thing. I have hung them from my fireplace mantel at Christmastime.
These would be so cute in a single fabric! Thanks so much for watching!
I think I will set the pinecone in a small dish or small plate to work on. Great tutorials
That's a great idea! Thank you for watching, please let us know how your pinecone turns out! :) - Morgan

Thank you! -Kyla
esta tecnica se puede aplicar a una bola redonda de unicel se tendrian que poner 8 tirillas en lugar de 4 gracias
Thank you for that tip! Merry Christmas! 🎄~Leah
I recommend you first use a flat 2-1/2” fabric square to go over the top. then start your layering of folded fabrics.
That is a great tip!! We love recommendations like this :) Thanks for watching!
---- An easy way to determine the center is to wrap a rubber band around the 'egg' and lightly draw a line around the middle.
Lovely tip, thank you so much for sharing! - Morgan
Thank you so much!!! Wonderful !!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Very nice! Thank you for the tutorial!
You're so welcome! Let us know if you make these! - Morgan

Carolyn Hughey
You are so kind Carolyn! Thank you so much for watching! - Morgan
I'm going to make this using all the Godiva candy foil wrappers I've saved up, waiting for the perfect project!
Sounds great! We'd love to see it when it's done! - Yajaira
Love these ornaments! Planning on making some. Can you suggest the best place to buy the styrofoam eggs? What size are they?
Styrofoam eggs/balls can be found a most local craft stores and the size really depends on what is in stock. Merry Christmas! 🎄~Leah
How can l find out the way you done the wearth please
You can find the link for the wreath here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/342/diy-no-sew-quilted-christmas-wreath 💖 -Michelle
Is it possible to sew a pinecone shape and then hand sew the triangles on? Thank you!
It certinaly sounds possible! :) We've never done it but it makes sense. If you do try it, let us know how it goes. - Morgan
I've looked for an egg this size and can't find one. Can you put a link please??
Looks like they have some at JoAnns! www.joann.com/styrofoam-eggs-3-1-16in-x-2-5-16in-white/5762620.html

What size egg are you using? They are beautiful.
Mary Kay Harman our eggs measure 4 inches from tip to tip, but this technique can be applied to any size egg. You may just need more squares to go around the wider section of a larger egg 😊
Thank you so very much.
You are welcome! Have fun!

what size are the polystyrene's eggs?? Jennie in Cambridgeshire UK
We are happy to hear you are enjoy making these! The size of the polystyrene's eggs are about 3 7/8 inches tall. Hope that helps. - Yajaira
What size is the egg shape?
We used a 4 inch egg in this video! - Morgan
Is it possible to use the smooth styrofoam for these ornaments?
Yes you are more than welcome to use that kind of styrofoam instead. Anything you feel like would secure it you can use. Make sure to use your pins to hold it in place. - Yajaira
These work much better with 2" squares. Pin an open square on pointed end then pin the triangles around in rows.
Thanks for sharing that tip! - Morgan
Do you sell the Hoffman Jingle Pops on your website? I couldn't find it, but I might be looking in the wrong place. Thanks. They are so neat.
Unfortunately, the Jingle Pops were VERY popular and sold out and are no longer available for us to order! We do have a wide selection of Jelly Rolls which will work beautifully for this project!

Are there always 4 squares for each round?
On our eggs, 4 worked very well but if you get a slightly larger egg, you may need more than four around the wider areas.
Enjoy your tutorials. What is the name of the iron you're using and where might I purchase one? Thanks
That is the Steamfast Travel Iron! Here is a link to our website: bit.ly/SteamfastTravelIronShabbyFabrics
I purchased my iron on Amazon.
I have made these with ribbons. Less fiddly, and not as bulky
That's a great idea, thank you for sharing that with us! We'll have to give it a try. :) - Morgan
Shabby Fabrics you are welcome! Hope you aren’t offended!! I just remembered how much I liked the pinecones😊
We're not offended at all! We enjoy hearing all of your ideas, tips, tricks, and experiences!
Can you press the squares when making the baubles?
Do you mean press as you go? You can definitely do that if you'd like! If you are wanting to finger press without and iron, you can do that as well, but the pieces won't lay as flat or sharp :)
Shabby Fabrics
On the video for the bauble/ornament you only finger press? Could you iron instead or would it change the end product
It would not change the end result :)
Shabby Fabrics
Thanks

Our eggs are 4 inches from tip to tip :) But this technique can be applied to any size!
How many squares approximately do you use for one 4 inch cone/egg?
I searched Jingle Pop on your site and it showed "no match". I really like this fabric - Help!
Unfortunately, the Jingle Pops were VERY popular and sold out and are no longer available for us to order! We do have a wide selection of Jelly Rolls which will work beautifully for this project!

I can believe it. Thank you for your reply. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
How many 2.5" squares are required to make one pinecone?
We used ABOUT 34 squares per pinecone, however, it can really depend on your spacing and layering :)
The ornament on the wall is to far away for "us" to see! Sorry, BUT that was annoying. Bring it to the camera to show it better. Thanj you very much!
Thank you for your feedback! I will pass this onto our video team! Happy New Year! ~Leah
too many pins!
Yes, we did use a lot of pins for this ornament project. Thanks for watching! -Michelle
