I have a question unrelated to this video. My Google home mini used to just turn on or off my light when I asked it to. Now, after it does it tells me it's doing it. As it does it. How do I stop this feature. With Alexa it is called brief mode. Did Google change something?

I have been using Google assistant speakers ever since they became available but I wasn't aware of many new features were added to customize the group speakers and other functionalities which I learned them by watching this video. It is very interesting that originally I was looking up for a different question which you explained fairly on this video.
I just got one of these at first I thought it was going to be rubbish it first but I'm glad I got it now as I have been using it a lot more than I thought I would
For smart home stuff it has pretty much been the same except Pixel just added an update to quickly control devices from the power menu which I think is pretty awesome.
@@OpasgegenLinks There IS a Samsung ecosystem. Samsung laptops (or any Windows laptop) work well with Samsung phones. You can call via your laptop, send messages and view photos form the phone. And if you have a Galaxy Tab, it also syncs up with your phone. You can remotely turn on hotspot and you can make phone calls with your tablet and send messages. And of course there is the galaxy watch which is in the ecosystem and the galaxy buds. How is this not an ecosystem???
I miss Google play music so much. TH-cam music is horrible at sorting my uploads and GP music used to make it easier to view my list of artists while also showing their full discography online.
Seems like the additional pricing over the nest mini is larger and more powerful speaker(s), the rest of the features are standard. I found that when the google devices are placed next to speakers, the connectivity can be disrupted.

Hey Scott, that is a great question and I am not sure why. I found that it was pretty easy to find the controls on here, maybe because it isn't flat on the surface they didn't include them.
Can you help I have a Google nest. Can ypu advise I have a wireless speaker which I live as I can carry it around but my Google nest has to be plugged in. I am trying to set up emergency calling for my granddaughter in case of an emergency. I have this speaker, I have set it up the settings in my google home app but cant get it to call 911 by voice. What do I need to do
I have two Nest Audio speakers and a Google TV Streamer. I stereo paired the speakers and added the pair to the Google TV Streamer. The audio is lagging the video by just enough to make it noticeable. I tried to adjust the delay in the Home App and it only gets worse because I can't do a negative delay or speed up the audio. It only lets me slow the delay. If I unpair the speaker pair and only connect one speaker it is synced perfectly. Help please!
There is not an officially supported option to connect these devices together to use like that. There will always be lag. So sadly, you're on your own. I'd recommend getting a soundbar or sound system for your TV.

I found this video very informative (I have just got a Google Nest Audio) but many of the menu functions you show on the video do not appear in my Google Home app. My phone recently updated to Android 12. For example: I cannot find the Accessibility settings nor Alarms and Timer in Google Home app. Any chance of an update on your video to show what's available on Android 12?
Oh no! They just changed all the menus so it is a bit harder to find. The Alarms is under the Audio section and Accessibility should be it's own menu. These are found by tapping long the speaker and then the Great at the top right.
Hi, If I was to get one of these, could I send it by Bluetooth to my soundbar speaker, as they seem to be Bluetooth receivers only, as I want to send radio to my soundbar, hopefully it will do it, thanks Barry.

Sorry, that is not possible. A very stretch way to do it is to find a Chromecast Audio (which has been discontinued) and you plug it into the Echo 3.5mm jack and play music to a Chromebook group.
Hello Brett, I need help with my Nest Audio. (I'm so ready to return it to Best Buy :/ ) I do all the steps and every time I try to add it to my Google Home, it keeps bringing up Location access. I follow the steps. I do the add (+) to add a new devices (my device is not found so you don't see it as an option to choose the device on the top of my mobile screen). I allow location permission. It still does not add the device and the device replies "this device isn't set up yet...." Tired of trying. Can you help me? Maryann
It can if you are playing music in a music group from a music app. You can also pair it to the Chromecast with Google TV over Bluetooth but I would not recommend it as there is a delay.

Strange that it's asking and giving the option for Spotify. I don't see that on my Google home app under music preferences.. I haven't paired to a speaker yet so maybe that why. I just use my phone at the moment

Quick question on the new Google Nest I just added to my smart house. I got numerous chromecast, smart speakers, and now one Google Nest to cast music in my house. I often change casting devices seamlessly as I move from room to room. Now one very annoying feature only Google Nest has, is that when it plays music and I switch casting device, the Nest is telling me, using a loud man's voice, that it it stopped playing music to play it on another device. It's long, loud, useless, and it annoys me a lot. All other smart devices don't feel the need to tell me that; I'm aware I just did it myself I don't need to be reminded. How can I disable this very annoying Google Nest feature? I searched all the setting I could find in Google Home but I did not succeed.

I fix that... the problem was they didn’t reproduce music trough TH-cam if isn’t a premium account. With Spotify works good :)

Yes it can. Just turn on Visitor Announcements on the doorbell and it will ring on the Nest Audio.
