    First time i've seen a sound comparison done properly by editing back to back and not having that pause where a host states the obvious "and now, the mini!" and effectively ruins the A/B test. Thank you!

      @@TommyVercettisGamingNews No, google assistant is as dumb as a box of rocks. It's exactly the same as it's been for many years, behind Alexa. That said, I still use Google for the ability to cast audio thru wifi rather than Bluetooth.

    If you thought they all sounded pretty bad during the A/B test, it's the specific song. There is intentional distortion in the vocals of the track. I was baffled until looking it up. Not sure if it was the best pick, but hey, music and YT, gotta do whatcha gotta do😅. Great video generally though!

      actually the sound test sounded extremely distorted and i don't even know if it was the music itself or the speakers played at max volume. But it sounded awful

    Nice video and I learnt a couple of things, even as a long term Nest Mini user.
    I suspect very few people have the problem that I'm confronted with. I live in a single room (kitchen, lounge and bedroom). This makes a pair of Nest speakers a nice sound setup for a single room.
    It would be great to be able to set the Alarm volume to say 20% and the Timer alarm to 40%. I do not think this is possible.
    I use the speakers for an alarm in the morning , 20% is loud enough to wake me. Then when I set a timer to boil an egg the same 20% is too quiet.
    Thanks again for a well delivered video.

    • @smitmiras
      @smitmiras 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      you could create routines and have the volume set after the time, i have such for my lights and music as well as alarm which includes alarm tone and volume on podcast that plays.

    • @Oliccino

      Maybe you can switch the timer sound to something softer or the alarm for something louder

    Maybe this isn’t specific to you or your use case, but the fact that Chromecast/Google TV integration was promised back in November and it is now almost 6 months later in May with the feature still nowhere to be seen, is yet another egg on the face moment for Google in terms of failure to deliver on future promises

    Great Video :D
    I bought the Nest Audio 4 month ago, mostly because of your original review, and I love it! But I still learned from this Video. I didn't know about night mode and I'll definitely use that now! I also didn't know about the "Hey Google" sensitivity. But that feature sadly isn't supported in my language (German) :c
    I have had one other weird problem. When I connect my phone via Bluetooth to the Nest, then the audio quality sounds very bad sometimes, but only sometimes. I could just blame Bluetooth itself, but the Nest is the only Bluetooth Speaker that has that problem for me. But since the problem is rare and I use Bluetooth on it rarely anyway, it dose not bother me that much.
    Thank you for your great Videos! You have been my No.1 Chanel since I got interested in smart homes. Keep up the great effort!

      We'll give some it away but we typically just find a new corner to put a speaker 😂.

      I personally stuck the OG smart speakers in the bathrooms. The nest hubs ended up in the bedrooms since they don't have cameras (privacy reasons). Then the nest hub max displays are in the main living areas, and with the max speaker is going into my garage.
      Even if you "upgrade" the older devices can still be very useful.

    For the price of one of these, you can get 2 Mi Smart speakers and pair them up. Massively better sound quality is stereo fyi.

    Great audio for sure, but would lose connection after 5 or 6 hours of listening, which was a deal breaker for me.

    Hi! :)
    I was wondering if you have any info on why the Nest Hub Max is not available in most of the European countries? :)

    • @6MonthsLater
      @6MonthsLater  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Google announced they were discontinuing the speaker in December. No info on the business rational for it, other than it likely wasn't selling as well with it's high price compared to the less expensive speakers. Probably same reason Apple killed its original HomePod.

    Hello, I am a subscriber of your channel. I need to know that, how can I move or transfar a particular video one android tv to another which i'm watching on youtube ? Is there any voice command for google assistant to move youtube playlist one device to another ?

    • @6MonthsLater
      @6MonthsLater  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try "move video to [enter tv name here]" or go into media in the Google home app and move it from there. If you're casting from youtube you can just hit the cast button again in the app and select a different tv to cast it to.

    How to avail google nest audio

  • @Tobias-Spoel
    @Tobias-Spoel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    !!Do not buy if you want to pair multiple speakers!!
    Google has just lost a lawsuit againt Sonos.
    Sonos has a patent on their "unique" pairing with other speakers feature.
    Google has been pleaded guilty for using this feature without patent. Within 60 days from now, the company Google needs to bring out an update to remove this feature.

      Only thing that has stopped working is controlling the volume of all speakers at the same time using the physical volume buttons on your phone. You can still do it from within the Google Home app though.
