Rally held at Havenstreet Station IOW on 31st August 2014. A look at the Minors and other vehicles on display. Another video will follow of the buses. trains, and other attractions.
The biggest lie about Minors is that they were widened 4" so the already made bumper blades were cut and rejoined with a 4" fillet plate, visible on both bumpers . Well, if the car was widened by 4" the gap between the bumper blades should be 4" . It is not. The actual gap is just 2". This proves that the original car was only 2" narrower but a 4" bonnet strip was created to add a visual feature only . Just measure the gap on the bumpers . Itis only 2"
Had 3 Minors at my daughters wedding recently years 1955. 1959 . & 1963 . They are really nice wedding cars believe me.
I keen to have one of this beautiful car. I m from Malaysia. My late father had one in 1965.
I love English made Ford's and other cars. Very beautiful n stunning cars. I be leave they are the best in the world.
There is something special about the Morris Minor. I guess it must be the most restored British classic car.
