    I am trying to remove the non-quick release seats in the third row passenger side. Would I just pop off the floor to do this? How long were those tracks? Are they all connected front to back or could I just remove that one? Thanks so much for showing your journey and helping the rest of us out!!

      You don’t have to pop off the floor to take out the third row passenger seat. You just need a T25 torx bit to remove it. Just unbolt it from the wall and the floor tracks. The tracks do run all the way from front to back. Thanks for watching! Hope this helps!

      @@ChilliesWorld sorry. I think I phrased my question wrong. I’m trying to get rid of the cleats that stick up from that seat. Do I have to remove the whole track front to back or do the individual cleats attach into the track? Does that make sense?

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sameenastillinge2262The tracks go all the way to the front and back and the cleats that the seats attach to, are a part of the track. So to remove the cleats you do have to remove the track. You don’t have to cut the floor like I did. You can lift the floor out as one piece to gain access to the bolts that hold the track down to the van floor. T25 torx bit needed to remove track floor bolts.

    I'm looking to buy a Ford Transit Connect passenger wagon or the Transit Connect XLT. Do you know if the process would be the same and is the floor on these vehicles flat like this one? I want to make sure it is as I'm wanting to use the van for work/cargo

      I assume it would be the same but I never taken a floor out of those vehicles. I suggest going to www.fordtransitusaforum.com and asking a member there. It's a great group of friendly knowledgeable people willing to help others. Someone there will know. Hope this helps!

    I'm looking for info on the front passenger seat. I'd like to remove it temporarily when I'm travelling solo with my dogs. But I want to put it back when I have a travel buddy. I don't suppose the front seat has this quick release as well?

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn’t have the quick release. I see there are torx bolts that are being used which probably have to be removed to take the seat out.

      I don’t have them anymore. But you can go to www.fordtransitusaforum.com/ great forum with helpful friendly members. There’s always someone taking those things out. You can put up a post stating what you’re looking for. I’m sure you’ll find someone giving them away. Good luck! Have fun on your build!

    How should I dispose of all the extra seats, I have, after converting my Ford Transit passenger van?

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I put mine up for sale online locally, and they all sold, giving me some extra cash for the conversion

    Question. The bolts for the seat mounts, are they threaded into the floor or is there a nut on the other end you have to keep stationary to remove them?

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The are threaded into the floor. No nut to worry about.
