Great set up! Having trouble finding that 12v max current cable. I looked on eBay but no luck. Are you still finding them or using something different to hook up your 12v accessories?
I’ve watched hundreds of videos of van builds and do appreciate yours also. You explain in detail better than most. Thank you. My dream is to build my own camper van and these videos will be very helpful.
You are literally the MOST helpful TH-camr when it comes to vanlife. Every time I can’t find answer to something, you happen to have the video that explains it. THANK YOU for your concise explanations to the many details involving these builds. You don’t miss a beat and i appreciate your videos so much!!! 🙏🏼
Mate that has to be the tidiest set up ever shown on TH-cam, I might even be able to digest your explanation as I’ve never picked a tool up since I was kicked out of woodwork at school please take that as a compliment.
You are going to want to use pop rivets for the brackets on those solar panels. I you used to work for an RV dealership we have seen self tappers come apart
I purchased echoflow delta2 Max to power 12v devices in the van, I wish it came with Max output cable. I just learned how to use 40amp by making a cable like Max output. thanks
You don't need the max output cable for the x series goal zeros. That cord is actually made for the non x series (i.e. 3000 vs 3000x). The HPP output on the 3000x is 30 amps alone so should handle most 12v loads on the fuse block. Really enjoy your videos. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
I have the Jackery 2000 that is going to go in my van build, but your explanation of the electrical system will work for me. Thanks for making it easier on me to build my van. You have done all the research and know what works and what doesn't. That frees me up to start my build.
I watch your electrical hook up video and it hands down answers most of my questions….all but one. You show how the solar and alternator can charge the battery but how would you incorporate shore power to the mix. I am sure it is simple but I just can not figure it out! Any help would be appreciated
You described hooking up your solar panels in Parellel. Shouldn't they be in series? I think they would start charging alot faster. You would have 400 watts .24? volts and about 32 amps. In parallels you have 12 volts 200 watts and alot more amps[current].Let me know because I am going to do about the same thing. I think it would be easier on the internal MPPT in your yeti.
SOO helpful. i’m using a goal zero sort of just loosely in my van. want to start running some permanent wiring. wasn’t sure how to use/wire a fuse block
how did you set up your AC outlets do they go through the fuse box as well? i saw that they cord plugged into the AS inverter then goes out to somewhere?
Great video man. Copying this exact set up. I have been running into a problem though… spliced everything and when I turn on 12v light it turns red and nothing will power from my fuse box. Did you happen to run into a similar issue at first? Thanks!
This stuff is way over my head. I bought a brand new ProMaster but I'm going to have to just use a rechargeable power box thing and charge it at work or something. And hope It can at least make my roof fan work.
At 3:19 seconds into video, you state if only using one of the three outputs, you will only output 10 amps. I am using Andersen output and measuring only around 2 amps at fuse box input. Any thoughts?
Everything is pretty much self-explanatory and I appreciate that. I'm on my way to Home Depot to pick up some of those items that were showing unavailable on amazon. But I do not have a question for you, I do not have the yeti 3000, I have the Bluetti system. Would that be just as simple and easy as how you have your setup on the yeti
Something that no one ever explains is the Choice of fuse on the fuse block (you have 5 and 15). can you explain how to decide this and why its important to pick the correct ones (or can I just go 15 on call of them?)
Good question. The electronics you’re using will say the recommended fuse size. If it doesn’t you can google the recommended fuse size for the gauge of wire you’re using
I'm curious why you had to cut the end of the GoalZero max output cable? In the description picture it looks like you can just insert the positive and negative ends directly into the female end of the max output cable. Was there a specific reason why you cut it and butt spliced it together instead?
I love my GZ 1500x, I bought some Goal Zero panels to just plug and play. I am only getting 120 watts of power on a good day with 2 100watt panels. It (Kind of a bummer as the price tag is high) What does the charging look like from the Renogy panels? I think I might need to upgrade...Thanks for all the help and rad videos!!
Renogy has some of the best panels when it comes retaining as much of the wattage. There’s still going to be some loss as it’s going through. But still gets around 160-170 with the 200w
I know you are super busy, but do you know if Goal Zero is replacing their Goal Zero 12V Current Cable? Everywhere I look it say “Discontinued” if you have any thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. I’m strugglin trying to get the solar/electrical done in my van! 🙏🏼

Do you suggest getting the yeti 3000x over the 1500x? Or is the 3000x overkill? I am looking to power max fan, a demetic fridge, 6 lights, 2 outlets, water pump, heater.
I got a question about the max output cable. I have a 3000x . I understand the 12 volt out put is regulated. Do i need the max output cable to get all the DC power out of the unit. The site says its not needed on the x models. I am running a fridge, tv, led lights, water pump, and dc fan off the fuse box. thanks great video!
I just started watching some of your videos tonight and glad I did. They’ve answered a lot of questions I’ve had about the whole process. I’m doing a horse trailer with living quarters similar to what you’re doing with the vans, using 12v and 110 with some EcoFlow products. I would also like to add shore power and be able to switch between the two. Thanks for your help! Just curious about what was plugged into the 110 on your generator.

will the goal zero power bank work off of an Alternator? I live in an area where the climate is very hot and I'm going to be putting in an air conditioner. The undermount version instead of roof. Will the goal zero work with it also?
I also use the goal zero to run the power for my bus conversion. Do you have the 12v input to charge the goal zero wired to the front cab cig lighter? Do you always keep that plugged in?
I’m noticing that the goal zero only charges one or the other when they’re both plugged in. It’ll be for when it’s either night time or cloudy and they’re driving. They can unplug the solar cables and plug in the 12v

You can plug an extension cord into a 110 outlet! That’s the simplest solution
Great video!!!!! Anybody know where i can find one of those cables that combined the DC output amps?
I know this video is old, but is there an option to charge the GoalZero with shore power too as a third charging option?
You can use an extension cord and plug it into any wall outlet to charge!

why do you need that max output cable? is it the heater that needs the extra juice?

Nice video! I think the 10amp output is fairly common for similar units, but on the GoalZero it is 15amp output which is pretty nice!
Yeah it is!
How did you work the roof around the original air bags. I see you kept them for safety.
I had to trim the foam covers in order to slide the paneling through
I got the dimmer switch ordered. I don't see a link to the lights above the bed with USB built in. I want that as well please 🙏
Nevermind, I ordered some. I will be ordering the 1500 yeti but I can't seem to find the Renogy panels. All they show are 100.
I searching for the de 4 output to one. Can you tell me where i can find it?

Great explanations! Newbie question that might be answered in a different video. Is the 110v outlet powered off the fuse box or by some other way?
Never mind, found it clearly explained in another video.
You had solar cable plugged in but no steady input reading?
It was an overcast day
Do the 400w solar panels produce enough power for your daily needs
Yes!
Are you tests out Goal Zero Yeti 6000x lithium ion power station
Haven’t yet! The next van is going to have the 3000X so I’m excited about that
