    In the Old Testament there is no mention of Muhammad. This is a lie from Ahmed Deedat. Are Muslims just copy/paste? In the Song of the Solomon it reads in Hebrew as Muhammadin Muhammadin which does not refer to the Muhammad of Arabia at all.
    Next, I am ex-Muslim. I am a Christian now. I will not lie about Muhammad. Neither did I lie when I was a Muslim. When I recognised the truths about Muhammad during my time as a Muslim while I was reading the source documents (Quran, Sira, Hadiths etc.) I realised he is NOT a prophet of any god and a liar, deceiver and what not. I am glad I was honest when I was a Muslim. I recognised Islam and left it. I am glad I did not lied or deceived myself or others to defend Islam. As now I am a Christian, I believe I am same in respect to Christ. And I tell you, the person of Christ always comes out with flying colors as the Son of God.
    It is sad to see Muslims read about Roman Empires and so many other things just to defend Muhammad. Too much mental gymnastics. Not worth it. Very sad.
    Be honest people (specially Muslims), Please, be honest. The door to Christ is always open for you, why defend the filthy Muhammad?

      Blessings to you and rejoice that you found the truth. I'm always interested in what Muslim has to say because it's like a knock off version of Christianity.
      The Muslim man in the video had many views of the bible that were simply false, but the glaring part was misunderstanding the difference and reason for christ dying.

      Not every point has to be refuted. When that is done it turns into an argument. You want to stay focused on the main thing and not get pulled into side arguments. Sometimes you have to just let them talk then steer the conversation back to where you want it.
      Plus, when your shooting from the hip in a public debate you won't ever be perfect. It's easy for us to sit behind a laptop and be critical and say, well I would've said this or said that. No, you probably wouldn't have.

    I've always listened to Cliffe before, but always with the atheist mindset, so I would always dismiss his claims right off jump street. Now that I'm born again, I've been trying to broaden my horizons. I came across a TH-cam short of Cliffe demolishing this girls claim about "believing in Jesus Christ if she could see the medical records." Cliffe's response was absolutely brilliant. I've been watching his videos ever since. There's still some things I don't entirely agree with, but then again do any of us truly agree with absolutely everything? I think Cliffe is a wonderful apologist and truly confronts the questions he's being asked. And he's not dishonest about answering difficult questions. He's consistent with saying "I don't know" when he can't give a genuine answer, and when he can give an answer, it's always to the best of his ability even if the participants don't agree with the answer.

    The man in the white t-shirt can become a better apologetic if trained and experience more. It was good to see someone with fervent heart to defend the truth of Christ. I hope more young followers of Christ would defend the truth of God like Cliffe had been doing for decades.

    Muslims claim Muhamad is mentioned in the Bible. Muslims reason that, since the Hebrew for "altogether lovely" is machmadim, and machmadim sounds somewhat similar to the name "Muhammad," the verse is actually referring to Muhammad by name.
    This is pretty odd and illogical.
    1. But muslims still insists this is Muhamad.
    Hebrew word " מַחֲמַדִּ֑ים" it says:
    pronunciation :ma-ḥă-mad-dîm;
    English meaning: [is] lovely
    Morph: Noun
    So it is clear that מַחֲמַדִּ֑ is a name and pronounced: "Muhammad"
    2. מחמדים
    Mem = מ
    Het = ח
    Mem = מ
    Dalet = ד
    Majestic Plural = ים
    Mhmd or محمد
    Its clearly Mhmd Hebrew letters without Vouls.
    The Original Hebrew Bible was written without Vouls.
    In that case, lets assume it is.
    The word machmad is used in many places in the Old Testament. It refers to something pleasing, treasured, or lovely. So if machmad is actually Muhammad's name, we need to be consistent and say that wherever the word machmad is used, it's referring to Muhammad.
    1. Song of Solomon, chapter 5, verse 16. - His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, this is my friend, daughters of Jerusalem.
    But in chapter 7, verse 10, she says, "I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me." Since Muhammad is her beloved (according to the Islamic interpretation), she declares in 7:10 that she belongs to Muhammad and that Muhammad desires her. How did Solomon's bride belong to Muhammad? Why would Muhammad desire a woman who had been dead for more than fifteen centuries?
    2. Ezekiel 24:16 - "Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.
    Ezekiel's wife is called "machmad," because she's treasured by Ezekiel. So if machmad means "Muhammad," Muhammad must have been Ezekiel's wife.
    3. Ezekiel 24:21 - Say to the people of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to desecrate my sanctuary--the stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection. The sons and daughters you left behind will fall by the sword.
    The word "delight" here is machmad. So if machmad is the name "Muhammad," God is promising to desecrate Muhammad.
    This is what happens when Muslims try to force Muhammad into the Bible.

    “Fight those who believe not in God nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by God and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, [even if they are] of the People of the Book [Christians and Jews], until they pay the jizya [tribute] with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued” (Sura 9:29). Sounds pretty clear to me.

    A great moment concerning the Story of Jesus making a bird out of clay would’ve been demonstrating that the Quran was not the first piece of literature to mention that event. The first time the story was written was in the gnostic gospel of Thomas. Which was shown to be a forgery. Not written by Thomas the apostle. That’s where it comes from the story originated from.

      We need to be careful when we accuse Muslims of Taqiyya. It has been my experience that most layman Muslims genuinely believe for example that Muhammad was a good man, they genuinely believe that the Quran is full of scientific miracles. They believe these things because they simply believe what they have been taught from a very young age and they have never thought to question their beliefs and investigate the claims for themselves.

    i understand that this student was frustrated, but i respect him because he was, to an extent, educated more than most on what he was arguing for and so his frustration was coming from a reasonable place of doing his own studies and wondering why no one else was doing the same, applying critical thinking, and doing the hard part of really trying to understand and apply what they believe. At the end of the day Jesus is Lord and King of kings and there is none beside or before him.

      Sometimes it's best to just let them speak and dig their own hole. I notice that Muslims can just twist and talk about the most menial points. But letting this man speak his point without something to bounce off of, it really just shows itself for what it is.

    Muslims are professionals of making connections out of thin air. Al-Samawal al-Maghribi referred to Deuteronomy 33:2 as a prophecy of Muhammad. He said that Mount Sinai refers to Moses, Mount Seir "the Mount of Esau" refers to Jesus, and Mount Paran "the Mount of Ishmael" refers to Muhammad. Since then, many Muslim scholars have looked to Deuteronomy 33 as containing a prophetic prediction of Muhammad.

    Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs) 5:16 uses the word machamadim which means desirable, lovely, etc. It is not synonymous with, or related to, Muhammad. The book can be considered a love poem between Solomon and Sheba and an allegory of the love between the bride (the disciples of Yeshua) and the Bridegroom (Yeshua).

    I used to think that a deep and thorough understanding of Islam is necessary to witness to Muslims. It isn't. Just because you don't have the vast knowledge of David Wood, God can still use you to reach Muslims with the gospel. You need two things:
    1) a very basic knowledge of Islam
    2) a deep understanding of the gospel
    That's it. Victory belongs to the Lord.
