I went to see Rick on his LIVING IN OZ WORLD TOUR in the mid 80s in Bham Alabama and to this day it is still one of the best concerts l have ever been to by far. Didn't know about this one. I can't attend anymore due to health. Thank you whoever put this on!! Was it sold out? Who opened for Rick? Thank you!!
Rick Springfield will you please come back to Tuscaloosa Alabama next year for a concert like to come see you in person Charles Reed from guin Alabama May God bless you been a fan of yours since 1981
Also, thanks for recording the concert! We had nose-bleed seats and although we could hear just fine...had a little trouble seeing him. I'm usually in the pit right by the stage. Awesome job on recording!!!
@@barrygardner67Hey Barry? Had a blast? How the fuck would you know? You stood there recording the whole show pissing off everyone off around you. I hope your phone has insurance. We're coming for you.
I was there fir the Tuscaloosa Rick concert! My sweet little girl bought tickets for us to attend for Mother's day. Best Mother's day gift ever! Been a fan of Rick's since 1981. Even went out to see one of his first BIG concerts in California back then. I like to think of Rick as being a soul mate of mine. For one thing, my name is Veronica...which is a nickname for Ron. One guy he used to play in a band with him had the last name Cotton...that's my maiden name. And let's not fore=get the most special----My father's first name is Jessie, therefore, I really am Jessie's girl. I did win a contest back in 1983 where I got to meet and greet with Rick in Biloxi, Mississippi. Very short meet and greet. Thought it would entail a little bit of conversation, but no. Bodyguards hurried him backstage right after he shook my hand and I had my picture made with him. It was nice anyway, And I got a framed gold/platinum Hard to Hold album for winning the contest. I see that another Veronica sent a comment. We Ron's need to get together. Looking forward to Rick's next concert! He'll be in Washington on my birthday in July, unfortunately, I'll have to wait until he comes back to the state of Alabama......ROLL TIDE!!!
OMG! RICK AND ROLL SOOTHES THE SOUL, right!? I was in that contest, too, and you're the girl who won! Wow, this is SO freaking cool! If I remember correctly, the contest had 25 2nd runners-up, 25 first runners-up, and the Grand Prize winner. I was one of the first runners-up. I was happy to win that much because we got a COOL Rick Springfield concert package, including two tickets to the concert, his cassette and album, a book, and even a satin Rick Springfield jacket. I lived in Poplarville, MS, and I remember Ken Clark announcing the winners on the radio and I was SO excited and I was even excited for you (even though I didn't know you) because I knew you would actually get to meet him. I have thought of that often in my life since then. This is SO amazing and phenomenal to come across you so many years later and to hear the backstory of you actually meeting him! What's even cooler is I finally got to actually meet him at this very concert in Tuscaloosa, AL, where I live now. I got the VIP package and got to meet him before the concert and got a few cool pix with him, too (omg, his eyes were stunning!). It was a lifelong dream of mine to do this. Life is so funny and what a small world we live in. I can't believe we were at the same concert then and now, too! For this one, I got upgraded to the front row and was the last one on the far left. btw, ROLL TIDE! 😁🤘
@@auntypc4791 Wow!!! That is amazing! It is funny how the world works. All of his concerts are great, aren't they? I usually see him when he comes to Biloxi, but because my daughter bought tickets in Tuscaloosa, I went there with her and her boyfriend (and boyfriend's mom who is also a fan). First time I think he's ever come to Alabama. But as long as he' performing and as long as I ca get around, I'll see him every year. Maybe not in person, but always in my dreams (lol)...
Rick, Almost all my life Mr D has haunted me about suicide. In 2013,I finally went into treatment for it at Del Amo Hospital in Torrance. Their program was great, but what stripped the suicide demons of their power over me was when a pastor came in and laid his hands on me,and prayed over me. Ever since then, when the thoughts come, I immediately cast them out in Jesus Name and I’ve never been (11 years later now) tempted in any way to end my life.🙏
I was there and it was a FANTASTIC show! What a magical night!

Rick,
Almost all my life Mr D has haunted me about suicide. In 2013,I finally went into treatment for it

Can you do a duet with Sammy Hagar..."Fall in love again"...already? I wish Jack Wagner would go back on tour...
Is He singing in a tin can? At least it's not lipsyncing.
