Turned the New RG Epyon into the Banshee. Gunpla custom build.

- The New RG Epyon is a great kit of the second mobile suit to have a zero system. So good that I decided to turn it into the second unicorn unit with the NT-D mode, the Banshee.
This video shows I accomplished that with simple modifications and a stellar paintjob.

Man that color combination is SO nice! That slight hint of redish in the yellow highlight. So gorgeous! Thanks for adding the mixing ratios and airbrush settings. I will come back to that and would love to try this myself once I decide to switch to a full fledged airbrush setup.

Thanks brother! The slight hint of red is an unintentional happy little accidental effect of the layering of the clear mix. You're gonna love it when you change your set up!

I love the colors of this build. You pulled them off flawlessly. The cutter you have for pla plate makes cutting look so easy too. Question though. Why didn’t you panel line?

The cutter makes is easy, fast and fairly consistent.
I find that there is very little benefit in panel lining dark kits for the effort. It doesn't take much to panel but the effect is not that stark in dark kits to be worth the time. Less steps also means less chance to mess up.

Man, forgot about the manticore..that's actually a more fitting name than chimera!
@@johnnymechahand the shield and whip being the tail during flight mode reminded me of the make-up of the chimera. It helped that I was listening to Cradle of Filth as well haha
beautiful build. Can I ask you for your airbrush Psi setting and paint thinning ratio ?
I usually work with 20 psi unless I'm doing detail work or pre shading. Then I'll drop it to about 15. And I also usually thin my paints 1:2 for gaia and 1:1.5 for Mr. Color.
The sword should be more of a flame color but really nice build!
It should actually be pink for the banshee. But I wanted to maintain a translucent look on it and not completely paint it and lose that look.
@@johnnymechahand Sorry i used the wrong words. Not “should” but I think the sword being the same color you used on the psuedo-psycho frame would have been really cool and matched the color scheme much better. The Neon Green looks off.

Is the sand stick reusable for long time use or do i need to constantly replace them?
They are reusable but will eventually wear out. These are still the first set I bought from 2022. But that's because I switch between sponges and sticks.
