    Great video and build! I love that you actually explain and show everything you did, it's so incredibly helpful as somebody trying to learn these things myself.

    I just hope that neither Kai nor Hayato were in that Guntank cockpit. As I really appreciate them. Excellent custom work.

      I imagine whoever the pilot managed to escape from the pause the gouf had before plunging the sword. 😄

    Nice!! Finally a full length video! I really wish they made the Guntank mass production type from the show, they look so much better and we'll finally be able to pose that scene properly lol

      Thanks man. Yeah, I wish we had a kit of it. A proper victim of the gouf. You think would've capitalized on that, reused the bottom half and just made the top half.

      There’s always scratch building. I’ve seen some people do incredible scratch builds. I have a friend that made a scratch build for the Origin Mobile Worker where he used the Mobile Worker kit and scratch built the lower half into a bulldozer kind of machine with the Mobile Worker’s upper body being used as the normal cockpit area. Then he used the shield and more pla plate to make the scoop on the front of the machine. It even has working treads. The possibilities are endless.

    Another awesome build and very clear to follow along. Writing down the magnetic reed switch as an option to incorporate in a future build! Can you twist the wires together if I do not know how to sodder? I can see the benefit of soddering and another technique I will need to try!

    • @johnnymechahand
      @johnnymechahand  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Twisting the wires would work too! I never thought I would learn to soder myself. Lol.

    Yass! A narrated video, way to go! I saw your finished build on IG, but didn't catch all the details and modifications that you did. Awesome job, esp. on the LED. I was contemplating using the magnet switch as well and even bought them for that purpose. But couldn't figure out a proper way of utilising them with two lightsources, so I scrapped that idea. Your solution is so elegant, I love it! Learned a lot from this video alone. Thanks for sharing :) Looking forward to more!

    • @johnnymechahand
      @johnnymechahand  ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont think I did the narration well tbh. Didn't prepare for it correctly.
      Yeah, the magnet switches are great, just need thought on how to place them. And I only had one light source so it was easier.
      I appreciate your support my dude! Love learning from you too!

    Out of curiosity, what do you do when the battery for the LED eventually dies out in a setup like this?

    • @johnnymechahand
      @johnnymechahand  ปีที่แล้ว

      No other way than to disassemble the chest to change it. But that's the beauty of HG with this kind of setups, it's not super complication and won't take much.
