  • Salvatore's Spaghetti Mussels Marinara
    When we want a Marinara and Living high in the Italian alps makes it hard do get fresh Fish or Mussels so we have to improvise. But although fresh is best this dish still pleases our many year round Guests..
    '
    What you need for 4 people
    400- 500 Grams of Spaghetti
    200 - 250 Grams of Mussels frozen or fresh No Shell
    1/2 medium Onion
    1 Clove Garlic
    1/2 Glass of white wine
    Salt
    Olive Oil
    Chili (Optional)
    Parsley
    2 table spoons of Capers
    15 or more Green olives no pip
    Enjoy

    Hmm, I'd probably leave the capers out and try keep the flavour of the mussels more..

      eh mum was from the Aolian Island of Salina ... that land of capers.. you could still taste all the elements though

      @@asitis4826 ahh thats why you have a love for them, i dont mind capers but they are salty as heck and for me with seafood I love the sea taste It provides.

    You should plate the pasta, then put the sauce on top. Then garnish with cheese and parsley. This is a hot mess

      I live in Italy and have been cooking for a little while know. Any good chef always tosses the pasta in the pan. Nowhere in Italy do you plate the pasta and put sauce on top. For your info it's called saltare la pasta. Oh and cheese on fish is never done in Italy.
