We had the privilege of seeing Jimmy Bain and last in line at the Def Leppard Pre-Party and they were one of the highlights from this trip!!! R.I.P. Jimmy
You can see its painful for Jimmy up there. He just looks zapped of energy. A true warrior who kept rockin' the best he could until the very end. RIP Mr. Bain
I have stage 4 cancer. I just turned 39. Ive played guitar since i was 12. Now i can barely pick it up. I lay on the couch staring out the window. Thinking and thinking. Cancer doesnt discriminate. Its evil. Took my mom last year. Yet, Dio and the Dio band always has and still does puts this "feeling" in me. Im sure you all know what i mean about how the Dio sound is so unique in the world of heavy metal. Only Dio fans would really know. Music is a magical thing. It really is. R.I.P. Ronnie, Jimmy and all those taken way to soon. We all gotta cross that rainbow bridge...someday.
+Insect on Acid. Thank you brother. Ill admit, I'm scared about that "next life". Kinda funny, when your younger, death means nothing. Then its different when you face it. I know there's something. I do know that. Thanks again!
this is very sad to watch but at the same time its so up lifting;the man was in such a bad place but he gave it his all doing what he loved to do.have super respect for the man always have.rip jimmy bain.
Totally. I'd rather go after playing a show than in a hospital. One wonders if he had treated his cancer if it would have given him a few more years. You are right though, you can see how hard he is trying. You can tell the tank was empty and he spent the last bit he had on this performance. That's a trooper right there.
RIP James Bain, a metal legend. I'll never forget when I got to meet you after a Dio show, and how amiable and funny you were. Too many legends are leaving us.
The boys are back in town!🤘🏻😜 They better be working on some jamns in the afterlife, I'm gonna need some better music than the garbage I'm hearing these days.
I talked to him on the phone a few weeks before. He was sick with bronchitis and had an x-ray done. He never said a word about how bad he felt and was so excited about the new album and playing with the guys again. Had plans to meet up on the tour, then he passed. I knew then that he knew about the cancer when they did the x-ray and just kept it to himself. He was that type of guy to not want people to worry or feel sorry. He kept moving on until he couldn't. He is dearly missed to this day.
Watching him play, he could hardly put any pressure on the picking side....he looked very weak. Apparently he didn't know he had cancer, just pneumonia....very sad. You're a legend Jimmy 🤘🏻
Agreed. He usually gallops this song and is playing very straight rhythms here. I couldn't imagine playing even that in his condition. Jimmy had one of the greatest bass tones ever on those early Dio albums, sad he's gone.
Hans Sørensen Dude, he died of cancer just a day or so after this performance, and that cancer had supposedly already spread throughout his body! He ALSO had pneumonia. His idiot doctors somehow missed the lung cancer, but diagnosed the pneumonia. Supposedly he had been clean for 1.5 years here. So I'm pretty sure it wasn't drugs that had him looking lethargic here.
Vivian Campbell still tears it up like he never left the band....I caught Jimmy's only pick he threw out in Montreal...cherished piece of metal history.
Sorry, but I always find these type of statements so lame. “I guess someone needed a bass player in Heaven.” It’s so predictable EVERY time a musician passes...
@@Adept179 - HAHAHAHAAAA!!!! What a load of horseshit! The devil is every bit as real as Mickey Fucking Mouse. Aren’t you a little old to believe in fairy tales, man?
He's HAVING the heart attack up there and most likely and overnite it just gave out. Friends it's always okay to say to a brother, "Hey man, you look a little pale, or really tired today. You okay?" And sometimes, especially a man will not come to you but would answer you that "You know, my chest kind of hurts and I feel really tired." Doesn't meant they didn't and doesn't mean the brother would listen, but never stay silent.
