The reason the Supra is a car i wouldn’t ever buy is because when I get into the tuner or mod groups behind this car, I’m not in JDM groups anymore. It quickly becomes BMW or German car enthusiast area.
It's a good looking and fast car, but I wouldn't want one because of all the incoming repair costs when those BMW parts start failing at around 75k to 100k miles in typical German fashion.
Personally I don't care about the manual ---TO ME--- Autos are more chill and flexible to drive and I just prefer them Manual can be fun sometimes but i wouldn't want one as a daily.
Not sure why everyone hates the new model of supra if they released a Supra MK6 and it was just the MK4 in a more modern and sharper panel style people would call it lazy
Intakes don’t increase HP on this platform. It’s been proven time and time again. All that is needed is a Flex tune with downpipe and your seeing 500 at the wheels or really close to it.
Fast Fact: The reason why the Mark 5 Supra currently has a BMW Engine is because Toyota would (maybe) borrow some of BMW’s leftover engines to make a produced car. So you’re having Toyota’s reliability and BMW’s speed in one car.

My dream car supra mk5 & mk4 i know mk5 have an bmw engine but if you think of it bmw engines are really good the s58 it has a potential in the Philippines you can tuned it 700hp with small mods the mk5 supra is really good car supra is so beautiful its fast
Not just a bmw engine but the transmission, the chassis, the interior and literally 90% of the car is BMW
Wow found you. Havent seem you since you left fitment. Just subscription.
Rather buy the Supra than a 400z
I rather buy a sienna😂
Well I'd rather buy a GTR( a real car)
Transgender z4 🏳️⚧️ or a 400z no I take real jdm car Nissan is real daddy!
@@Nismo1983 I’ll take the transgender z4 any day. Also I’m your daddy
@@kotertsenn no Nissan is real daddy plus I am your daddy u have that Knock off zupra real jdm car is made in Japan just like mk4 with 2jz & b58 not 2jz remember Nissan has real cars real motor’s !
And now we can get a 6 speed manual too.
Buy a GTR. But the fuel prices..
The main problem with the car is that it’s a BMW
Honestly the supra I like everything about it but the way it looks and sounds
especially the interior like... the wheel dash stupid no shifting thingy? like its gross
I've seen a manual supra a few months ago
rented a 2021 and it was fun to driveand felt special, was really odd though that it didnt have wireless android auto/carplay when my wifes 2017 chevy already had wired android auto/carplay...
the sunshine on a what? 🤣🤣
Thats my dream car
they had a manual supra at a Toyota dealership inside a mall, I asked to sit in it but someone had already bought it, so I couldn't, whoever bought it is one lucky guy
I have a 2020 dark blue metallic and I have loved every second of it. The Atomatic ZF transmission is one of the greatest transmissions available, coming in Bentleys, Hellcats, and more
Bro 4 cylinder Supras cost about 200.000 usd in my country 60.000 is a steal here
I got mine at 52k + tax. So far I've put tint and a borla exhaust. Black is by far the best color unless you wanna pay 80k for the a91
I just saw like 10 Supra at a car show 2 days ago
Manual transmission or skip. Currently in the market for a 992 or 991.2 Porsche. Every time I find one that’s in my price range it’s an automatic so I skip.
This is your dream car make it count
60k, is c7 zo6, Gt500, c8 and even some Porsches. If I want BmW at that price, I would just an M5 or m3 CS
Real good question is if you’re in my position where you live in California…should you get a supra here where you can’t do any of those illegal mods that will bring it to 500 or should you go with a BMW M2, which is in the same price bracket and will destroy this car with a whopping 460hp to the wheels (dyno tested) stock without having to do any of those non compliant mods and still have warranty 🙄🤔 I hate California strict laws.
Mark 5 supra is a great choice
Yea but it. Such a fun little car
Had to replay that beginning to make sure I wasn’t tweaking. What the fuck does that even mean? “The sun shines on a dogs ass sometimes”
After years of me showing hate to this car on the internet seems like I’m going to buy it 😅 forget about the old Supra, think is this car as a ride of a unique name, best engine ever built by bmw in a very sporty design made by Toyota this car I would call it the most reliable sport car ever, even more than the 340 or any M car has the same b58 engine due to it’s simplicity and reliability Toyota is known for combined with the greatest engine made from bmw, what else would you need!?
I’d rather have a 5.0 for that money gawd dayum
not everyone likes ugly american muscle cars
If you can get your hands on Toyota Century 2nd gen up you can literally pull out the interior and put it inside the supra and it would be far better than a BMW ever could
Could just get a brz, still expensive but cheaper. And looks good.
Still slower
@@Elchurrodurro literally costs half as much I would hope so
@Alt F4 naw a lot of American cars are faster than a 3.0 supra at almost half the price but I do prefer the supra
@Alt F4 also with the dealer markup dude I got my supra for msrp but saw a gr86 for 20k+ and msrp idk how markups are in subaru but toyota is outta pocket with em
@@Elchurrodurro Subaru has no markups at all, it’s a corporate mandate, my ‘23 BRZ was $35k OTD.
3.0 Supras in Washington are mid 40s rn
What’s the stock hp? 352?? I think I seen a podcast where a guy talked about just a downpipe and a tune he was making close to 500hp. Idk if that’s true but if so those b58’s ain’t no joke
Me: *Half awake operating on 3 hours of sleep on multiple back-to-back nights, questioning my life choices, and trying to figure out how many scenarios I can create of tomorrow (It's an introvert thing)*
This video: The sun shines on a dogs a** every once in a whil-
Me: 👁️👄👁️
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The heavy BMW influence isn't exactly a bad thing. The B58 is a bulletproof little engine
Ima probably buy a US 2023 manual one in like 5 years 💀👍🏼
The reason the Supra is a car i wouldn’t ever buy is because when I get into the tuner or mod groups behind this car, I’m not in JDM groups anymore. It quickly becomes BMW or German car enthusiast area.
It's a good looking and fast car, but I wouldn't want one because of all the incoming repair costs when those BMW parts start failing at around 75k to 100k miles in typical German fashion.
Is it worth it reliability wise? Also I am of 1,87cm and 100kg would I fit with easy?
They make 4 cylinder Supra’s? Oh boy…
Personally I don't care about the manual
---TO ME--- Autos are more chill and flexible to drive and I just prefer them
Manual can be fun sometimes but i wouldn't want one as a daily.
You can get a 6inline now for under MSRP 👍🏼
Not sure why everyone hates the new model of supra if they released a Supra MK6 and it was just the MK4 in a more modern and sharper panel style people would call it lazy
Anyone whose driven this car, knows its a future classic. Full stop
Intakes don’t increase HP on this platform. It’s been proven time and time again. All that is needed is a Flex tune with downpipe and your seeing 500 at the wheels or really close to it.
I ended up getting a used LC500 for the same price I couldve gotten a supra… naturally aspirated japanese V8
What Do You @AlexMartini Thing Is Mk5 Better than Mk4
60k is way too much money. You could damn near buy a Z06 for that money and already have 600+hp off rip
GR86 x Subaru vs supra x bmw
i’m not a very big fan of the mk5 supra. I just personally prefer the mk4
Fast Fact:
The reason why the Mark 5 Supra currently has a BMW Engine is because Toyota would (maybe) borrow some of BMW’s leftover engines to make a produced car. So you’re having Toyota’s reliability and BMW’s speed in one car.
Mk4 supra for 80k - ah perfect 20 yr old car
75k for a80 - ewww a better, 20 year newer supra is 75k? That's bad.
Mom’s basement making car vids about cars he can’t afford. MEATLOAF MOM!! I want meatloaf. Geez!! How many times do I have to say it. I’m busy down here doing important CEO stuff.
This guy is rich lol
If manuals are going for 75k at that point get a BMW or a Mk4
Maybe even an R8
Please don’t. If you want a Supra so bad, just save up for an older Supra. Like, literally any older Supra. Whichever model year you want. Just not this gen.
Ill get a BMW M2 same engine and you get manual.
Why not get a m340i for that price. Pretty much the same car except one is a seden. Or even the m240i for a coupe model
I think the Supra looks a bit better; different chassis that's more tuned for track, and probably the lineage of the name. WHy would you pick the M340 instead?
@@AlexMartini. because he just wants to hate on the supra, some ppl are bias
Get a gen 3 5.0 Mustang and has all the modding potential you need
Me looking at the 2020-22 ones for 40k 🧍♂️
It looks like a bugatti from far away but like a grandma car up close. The definition of a butterface car
Wait 20 year's..they will be like R32 of today
Auto only… You can keep it Toyobeemerota
Get a 440i or 340i same engine n looks better🤷
The only ones hating on the car are those who don’t have one. It’s an amazing machine. Love mine
