There was supposed to be at least two more Sonic OVAs, but they flopped commercially in Japan and the studio never made any more. The OVA film we got was actually two parts split between two VHS tapes and were combined when localized for America.
You add a heart and soul to these videos that is missing in my life; also your webcomic is insanely cool and inspiring, and honestly oozes a bit of that ethos you touch on at the end of this video, all that love carries your work so far and I fucking love your channel, keep it up
Its very interesting - the director mentality. I'm an animator/illustrator who like a lot of people in the industry, definitely has OCD and can run into perfectionism. The greatest lesson I've learned is "Finished not Perfect" - There's this honeymoon phase that comes with starting any project which is what most of us love but to me I get my high off of being happy with most of it, and just getting it out the door. Otherwise I'd never get anything done. I can see where he's coming from as more of a professional learning to ward off the feature creep- as anti-artistic as it may come off. ANYWAY - just found your channel through your Warioland4 vid (after playing the crud outta Pizza Tower) - Phenomenal work- Great heart- can't wait to watch this- thank you

Dude this video's awesome! I'm gonna suggest Future Cop to my friends as a contender for weekly movie nights that we do. Also the Alan Resnick clip at 4:31 goes fucking hard.

Does he actually direct all 1000 of these movies or does he have someone else do it and put his name on them. It just seems impossible to make so many!
Late to this video ! But it's worth bringing up that old pottery parable in regards to art and to Jing's attitude towards art. A class that makes a clay pot a day for 30 days will produce significantly higher pieces than a class that spends 30 days to make 1 clay pot. Jing's productivity definitely helped with his craftsmanship, and I don't mean the art critique kind of craftsmanship. I mean the literal, physical craftsmanship that comes with repeating a process for years and decades.
Haha, reminds me of the 3 movies we had here in the Philippines which mashed up a bunch of video games and anime in one big crazy comedy back in the 80s/90s. They're still floating around here on TH-cam last I checked. Someone should sub them in English so the rest of the world can enjoy these obscure films.

I'm calling the illumination Mario movie a very good 7/10 movie, it's absolutely good , it's bright colorful Mario it's 1:1 with the cynical lack of brand new original Mario content, we have four beautiful colorful shiny releases of Mario Bros Deluxe, and it's just what we deserve. I loved it
