Never thought id watch an entire hour long video about warioland 4. Never even played this Game and you just made me want to play it. Ps: What visualiser are you using in those music comparing scènes it looks so amazing

I'd also recommend "Keeping the Dream Alive" from the album "Fantasy" by the band Muchener Freiheit. The band is German and obscure to the US. Their Spotify albums have almost no streams, which is crazy. The whole Fantasy album has layered Queen-esque harmonies, but "Keeping the Dream" is the most orchestral.

You have to add "God Killed Rock and Roll", "Something About Maggie", and "Sad Clown" (by Panic! at the Disco) to your playlist. All these songs have bombastic operatic vocals, May-esque guitar, and harpsichord. And it was deliberately derivative too, which I think is awesome. The final Panic! album (Viva Las Vengeance) was sort of an homage to Queen, the frontman Brendon Urie has a tattoo Freddy Mercury, and his cover of Bohemian Rhapsody for Suicide Squad has 100 million streams.

I had a VHS copy of this movie as a kid and I would watch it everyday.

Oh another one! The theme for the runaway five reminds me of The Changeling by The Doors ! The lyrics kinda fit too

Tyler The Creator was famously a big fan of wario so I guess the samples make sense.

Ghostbusters music reminds me of Mario Haunted House music. That haunting synth droning mixed with the juantiness of the horns makes that “spooky comedy” dichotomy. I think Mario has that same vibe. In fact I think the Haunted Mansion does the same sort of thing. Spooky yet silly.
