When it says the freight-train has to pass a platform at a specific time, it only means you must not pass it any later, which would be punished as a delay, but you can pass the platform inside the timelimit any time you want or deem prudent.
I know right. I did not know what he was waiting for! lol His allocations to platforms using the auto signals is poor too. Just signals them half way then they have to wait when he could have given the platform at the same time.
As someone who works in railway timetabling, I would recommend you re organise the way the tracks are running to avoid crossing movements. For example, as trains enter Bridgeton from the lower tracks, keep them running on the lower track up to Cumbernauld. It’s not bad at the moment, but looking at it longer term, you may get more congestion when more locations get introduced in the map and you try to run more trains :) Thank you again for playing this one! :)
dig the stylized look of the game. Also i dig how you explain the game. It is easy to understand the way you put it. Thank you very much for your effort. Looking forward to the next one. Do not forget that parked freigth train so it will arrive on time
I love games like this - railways, trains and stuff like that. I like the fact it doesn't give you everything in one go too and makes you 'learn' the game. Also finding it interesting, given that I know the line that you doing in real life and it's pretty bizarre location wise!
26:43 that was 12.34 not 13.34 i think freight just doesn't care and they need to have passed BY that time not AT that time 33:08 which would mean that this isn't an issue
Yeah, there's no penalties for being early - trains can pass or call earlier than the schedule and get the full contract amount, you'll only get penalties if you're late
I hate it that he tries to make his videos about learning others but makes such big mistakes himself still. Happend with Transport fever 2 also which made it a bad watch for me to watch..
I caught Squirrel playing this on stream a little while ago and he was at a very advanced stage and I had absolutely no idea what was going on in it. But these videos are doing a great job of explaining it. Thanks!
25:11 you could have cleared COM9944 directly into Cumbernauld 4 by using the left track. Since you have a double track and no conflicting traffic going the opposite way, USE it to its max.
I think a better (albeit perhaps more difficult/complex method) of gaining red upgrade tokens is the Coach Yard which allows you to run recurring one direction contracts, but they produce red tokens quicker. You have to make sure that you first start a contract where a train terminates into the coach yard, then you can run a contract where a train originates from the same coach yard and the game will notify you if your yard is 'unbalanced'. Also as some have stated below, the one time freights don't really care about what time they arrive at their initial station or leave their last one so the train you kept around waiting on the slip track could have just been sent on it's way.
Coming here from reaching auto signals in the demo. Menus etc look different, is the version I'm playing later as your video is 1 year old, or is the full game a different look and feel?
The one thing I hate about auto signals is when there are multiple tracks that can go to the same destination and it picks like the one that disrupts the most other traffic because auto signals doesn't let me choose what path it takes

Now just let´s hope he´s recording one episode at a time, so he can read this. :)
So true.

I fell asleep watching this. Just the perfect thing to watch after a long day. Nodded right off.
Absolutely fascinating. Keep them coming.

More please! More please!
I enjoyed the first video ive been subbed to you for a few years now and youve never made a video i didnt like

It'd be nice if the freight trains looked more distinct from the passenger trains.
The only difference is the square at the back of the train.
In reality, there would only be the red line to show its location, plus its number. No labels whatsoever
Good stuff, keep it up man!

I dig it!
I'm starting to like this game🤣🤣🤣
interesting series hermano, keep up the grind
Go to steps with and 80 mile track for an intercity train through Bridgeton Cumber nought and then out through steps or vice versa
what is the music in the background?
Heck yeah!
The one thing I hate about auto signals is when there are multiple tracks that can go to the same destination and it picks like the one that disrupts the most other traffic because auto signals doesn't let me choose what path it takes
You can use the scroll wheel to choose the path manually the first time you clear a path, then that will be preferred later I think.
having played this game and map myself its interesting seeing the differences in how things are panning out😂
For a train like FR5100 which you left parked before Bridgeton, is it bad if you just let it through early? Like well before 13:54?
nice
This is now added to my wishlist and will sit there for at least 2 months 🙃
Mine sat on the Wishlist for a year waiting for it to pass early access. As it looked like it is never going to happen, I recently purchased it.
just bought it... seems like there are a few bugs... did u get the game..?
@@x...CrankyOldMan...x I did, don't have much time for games anymore; but when I was playing it it was fun. Don't remember any bugs when I played
Im suprised the freight train still had its wheels after sitting at easterhouse that long during the track edit 😂 lock the doors and windows up
British Rail should play this game!
Underrated comment 👍
