Really nice that you preface the interest in one type of deck. I think a lot of people appreciate the perspective that adds. Also really liking the content, since I play energy, I'm trying to understand how one might attack this specific matchup.
@@neonmushroom6763 Been messing around with both. But specifically there's a huge number of UR FrogTide in my LGS. So if you have opinions on the mathchup of UB vs either/both of the Energy aggro decks it'll be appreciated either way! To me it seems like ringless borosmight be a little weaker that mardu. But ring seems to be a requirement for all decks these days 🫠
hey man, I found your channel when you played vs your friend that was playing mono black i recommended your channel to my friend its very good and welcoming to see a content creator putting in effort and going over details of what and why when you do an action, a lot of creators just post there stream clips. Keep up the good work!
game 1, 6:44 you could have played grove, do a kozileks command where X=4, make 4 spawns scry 4 draw a card, and try to find a ring that way and cast with the spawns
@@neonmushroom6763 ohhh i see, but I don't know, I think the card causes more problems and drama than it's worth honestly :p I'm pretty against just banning cards but if Grief gets banned for being unfun then Ring should have been banned, also I'm poor and can't afford ring
Hello there! Match 1 Game 1 I think you were still very much alive. With the land you drew for turn, you could K-command the bestowed hollow one and make spawns to chump the other. The phoenix would still be in play, but you could follow up the next turn by casting devourer to exile it and then chain the next one. Obviously no guarantees you would have got there but possibly still had a chance. Great video!
I only recently got into mtgo and I made a dimir frogtide deck. I am not an expert at playing modern by all means but in the few leagues I’ve played it in, I have beaten almost every match with Boros and mardu energy. I lose plenty of matches but I have found that energy matches seem to always go my way. Just food for thought. I feel like energy decks are good but there is plenty of competition.
Yeah energy is my no means unbeatable, there are multiple decks w good matchups v energy, frog isn't one of em. Frog has a really close energy matchup, but if they can't remove the frog and you find a murk you can kind of go under em, you might just be real good at playing the matchup

I love watching you keep counting that Trinnisphere as a land in your R2 G2, then beat yourself up about missing a turn with the Devourer despite not having the mana to do it
Kind of, the mana situation in Eldrazi is unique and doesn't apply to most other archetypes but it is intuitive so if that's what looks fun to you then yeah go for it
Am l crazy that a single old Boseiju seems like a great one-of in the sideboard? Given that Mycospawn can fetch it and gives so much play vs Jeskai/Frog/Murktide. EDIT: Didn't see it in the main. Me big dumb.
Amazing content; love seeing the big eldrazi!
Glad you like the spaghetti
Third after infect and giant fucking dinosaurs in my list of loves are giant spaghetti monsters from beyond the universe.
Oh well then you're welcome then

Hey I appreciate that buddy, well be diving deep into boros soon if that's the version you play

Ohh baby good catch, v sorry I didn't see this
Ohh Trinisphere. I remember casting trinisphere turn one back when I played stax in vintage in like 2005 🎉🎉🎉
Good old trini, so good
0:58 you're right if it wasn't for the case that Jeskai control is also playing the card
Wait what, that's what I'm saying, decks like jeskai need the ring to hang w boros

Ew yeah you're right, I'm mad I missed that very good catch
I know I personally would love another counter frog league. The deck is just a lot of fun to watch!
Me make very soon

Always love the content, but seeing non-contorl decks is nice.
Yeah once in a while I'll play the big bonk builds

Lmao yeah I saw that in editing, felt like a donky
Cutting ancient stirrings is insane
@@Ramen4Days okay so how me sideboard
@@neonmushroom6763 I did not say that I am good.
As someone new to magic, (i was planning on a form of eldrazi to be my first deck) would this be a good deck to learn the game with?

Well there is a boseiju who shelters all in the main
@@neonmushroom6763Yeah I'm a big ol dummy
