  • Today I check out the Xvive A58 Guitar Wireless system! I go over how what it comes with, how to set it up, compare the sound quality against a regular guitar cable, and finally test it outside to see if there are any problems the further away I get from it.

That must be a new version. I been using the older version for several years. I really hear no difference. If can get 30 ft I am lucky. I did have a friend replace the battery and there is no place to do that in the usa. I found the parts on amazon and was able to repair it. The did offer a new set for a discount. My friends in the band use line 6 and this works just as good if not better and last a long time with the new batteries. I do like them and the new ones have 5.8 ghz and 150 ft.

I have a wireless system. I rarely use it, not for any reason though. I forget the brand.
Definitely a difference in tone. Still sounds good wireless. For live performance it's probably great but nothing recorded or were that nuance matters.

Yep, pretty much spot on with how I feel about it

Looks like a good, affordable unit.

I actually liked the wireless better. Strictly speaking, each foot of guitar cable you use introduces capacitance and essentially rolls off highs. This may be better or worse for a player's purposes -- some guitarists even like the coiled cables to essentially add extra length and remove high frequencies.
As is usual, trying to target slight tonal differences is kind of pointless, anyway, since you have EQ knobs on your amp to compensate in either direction, and playing in the context of a band will cover up the rest!

Definitely mix friendly and I can't help but have the hunch it was done deliberately

There is a little bit of loss of volume and punch, but not as bad as I thought.

Nope, just a bit of a high end hair cut
