Thank you so very much for making a video from my suggestion. Woody aromatics are my favorites by numbers but im an ole head aquatic lover merman *giggles and makes bubbles* smell swell & be well my fragrant friend! Really appreciate you doing this for us despite how you feel about many marine Molecules. You da MAN 🎉
For aquatic florals Ege, Nuda Veritas and Yin Transformation are great options. For spicy florals please refer to Sebastian’s video Big Bad Florals. Perris Monte Carlo has some great spicy florals. Shining Moon and Tuberoze Absolutely are floral heavy and apparently spicy.
I like marine notes in the fall and winter. I find them bracing and uplifting. Sometimes marine notes lean too masculine for me. I don’t mind if it’s balanced with citrus and florals. I love ambergris! Amouage Gold Man is a longtime favourite of mine.
Great list as always, Sebastian! I had never liked marine fragrances but Heeley's Sel Marin opened the door for me to dive into the marine/aquatic world. It's got everything I hated about oceanic scents like seaweed, salt, and calone but somehow it's captivating to me. 🌊🌊
It is good to have this selection to buy as gifts. This genre or category does not appeal to me, personally, but I do like the ingredients listed in Bon Parfumeur 803. Good for our knowledge base! ✨✨😊
I did not know that this was a formal category. Interestingly though, I do have four or five on this list. I enjoy the depth and breadth of your topic sessions. I can't wait for the Ambre series to begin. I have been swamped lately, however, I saw a question from you that I want to answer. I went to Dior on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. I wanted to smell Sakura, and a few others. I Was lamenting the fact that I never got a chance to buy a big bottle of Feve Delicieuse. The young woman helping said that FD was returning. I don't know if it is coming in the new set or not. I thought that is what she was intimating, but I may be over reaching. I hope she is right, I do not own a bottle. Thanks for the primer. Also, congrats on the new scent. I was introduced to JusBox by you. I can't wait to smell a TPG JusBox scent. Have a Great Day! Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉🙂
Like you, I have to be very picky about marine fragrances. Calone itself doesn't bother me too much, but marine scents (especially ones with a lot of citrus, like D&G Light Blue) also use certain sulfides that smell like eggs to me. There are several on this list I want to try. Bon Perfumer 803 sounds really great. State of Mind Open Mind sounds good too. I need to dive into that brand. Cafleurbon has a lot of articles about them and they sound like an interesting house.
Not my favorite style of woody fragrance combo but I like them. I have no problem with marine fragrances, not even with Calone, as I said just not my favorite type of fragrances. I want to try Sunset Cafe, Port of Alexandria, Aeternum and South of Fifth. A tobacco or boozy note series would be great!! 😁Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
Marine notes are extremely nauseous even if I like a fragrance with marine notes after some minutes I m starting to feel awful !!Aquatic notes are tolerable and some fragrances like Wavechild and pacific moss are really nice
I’ve gotten the eggy smell with ADG, but particularly with Parfum. On OG and Profondo it doesn’t bother me at all, but on Parfum it takes over all other notes for me for like the first hour or so.
Strangelove Silence*the*sea! Smells like a dirty, abandoned beach to me. I hate the Royal Crown caps. They look so tacky, and that little central stem snaps so easily.
i wanna add a feminine option for marine/aquatic fragrances. its not woody so i know it doesn't fit in this video but maybe if anyone is interested. air di gioia by giorgio armani. its very very similar to body shop's oceanus which is my high school perfume but its now discontinued
Check out the Sea Collection by Lorenzo Pazzaglia. I wore Sex Sea yesterday and got two complements by women. I’ve seen Sex Sea marked as masculine on Fragrantica and I disagree with that. I’m a woman and I have no issues with the Sea Collection. I think it’s all perfectly unisex. Excellent longevity and projection as well.

Orto Parisi Megamare? One of my favs. Also Lorenzo Pazzaglia sea collection is amazing.
Megamare is not really woody, however very aquatic/marine and almost animalic
Could you do Aquatic Florals or Spicy Florals?
For aquatic florals Ege, Nuda Veritas and Yin Transformation are great options.
For spicy florals please refer to Sebastian’s video Big Bad Florals.
Perris Monte Carlo has some great spicy florals. Shining Moon and Tuberoze Absolutely are floral heavy and apparently spicy.
I would really like to see such specific Recommandations about the Note Vanilla and also about Patchouli scents❤
Wait for the fragrance I just created with Jusbox!! Launching in August at Harrods, then globally in September!!

Aquatic fragrance obsession started back in 1998 with Coolwater. And we went from there. Still always have a bottle in my collection for nostalgia 😁
@@onlyme7308 I keep wondering if I should buy it tho it's cheap. I just want a small bottle lol

MONTALE OUDYSSEE is the greatest marine Oud
Contes have beautiful bottles and profound perfumers. I really hope that this house succeeds.

Orto Parisi Megamare to rule them all❤
Love the line up. I have a few of these.

Sebastian, Sydney must be a banger. You sold it out on So Avant-Garde. I'll have to wait to get it when it's back in stock.

I've heard of Crab Apple Blossom quite a bit. I have yet to put my nose to it.
Aeternum leaves me pretty nauseated and I haven't gone back to it much since receiving it. Hopefully it'll be a fragrance that i grow to like one day.
Thanks for the video. Have you got your nose on Tukuaz by house of Regalien? Powerful and interesting woody aquatic marine one.
Yes I have sadly I don’t have access to this collection easily near me
Hey Sébastien, how is the performance of Sydney Ramon Monegal ?
I’ve gotten the eggy smell with ADG, but particularly with Parfum. On OG and Profondo it doesn’t bother me at all, but on Parfum it takes over all other notes for me for like the first hour or so.
The best aquatics IMO are *Abyssis* from Les Liquides Imaginaires and *Dans Le Bleu Qui Pétille* from Serge Lutens. Hands down.
Not even close
Curious what you think of the Kenzo Homme EDT Intense?
Hello Mr. Sebastian
Please what is your book?
Strangelove Silence*the*sea! Smells like a dirty, abandoned beach to me.
I hate the Royal Crown caps. They look so tacky, and that little central stem snaps so easily.
Buenas noches, cual me recomienda que fuje y no sea empalagosa
Did you ever get around to the new Neroli Portofino Parfum? It's been out a while.
I’m kind of bored of that actually. Do you like it? Looking for a discounted bottle or a promotion to purchase it.
i wanna add a feminine option for marine/aquatic fragrances. its not woody so i know it doesn't fit in this video but maybe if anyone is interested.
air di gioia by giorgio armani. its very very similar to body shop's oceanus which is my high school perfume but its now discontinued
Megamare by Orto Parisi is the best aquatic/marine to this date
Oof yes also beast mode
@@ThePerfumeGuy indeed

Arteolfatto brise marine should had made this list no doubt
Is Paul Guerlain related to thee Guerlain perfume brand? I had never heard of him before.
Yes he is for sure
Hi Sebastian. What is watery green notes? If you please answer
Most likely watery green notes are cucumber or certain fruits and vegetables like this going ozonic perhaod
@@ThePerfumeGuy thank you for your reply. I am coming to San Francisco soon. Hope to see you

All the fragrances featured seem masculine leaning.
Yes, which is what I mentioned toward the end of the video. 😀

I'm shocked you can tolerate crab apple blossom it's very aquatic. The mineral note is to much for me
I'm surprising myself. Even Megamare lately. Has my chemistry changed? LOL! I don't get it.
