    Really like how you can hear the tone and you show what it's coming up as. Recently picked up on Nox 600 and love these type of videos.

    Another great video! 2-ringer bullets are Confederate. 3-ringers are considered Union bullets, although many Rebs used them too. (Captured weapons/ammo came in handy, especially because the South struggled to arm their soldiers.) Cheers!

    Are you liking the 600? I’m thinking about the 600 or Garrett AT Max.

      Love my 600. I was on the fence too which one to pick. Started watching depth test videos to compare depths and started noticing the nox was deeper and could pick out what it is deeper as well. Learning curve isn't bad. I started with a garrett ace 250.

      Hi there good vid, are the headphones that come with the 600 very loud?

    • @carterscatch61
      @carterscatch61  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can turn them up high to almost deafening. Keep in mind that the 600 comes with wired headphones. The 800 comes with Bluetooth wireless headphones. You can always buy low latency aftermarket wireless Bluetooth headphones for the 600 and they should work. At least that is what I've researched. I just haven't made that purchase yet. I run without headphones because I'm normally videoing my hunts and like for everyone to hear all the 50 tones.

      @@carterscatch61 hi I have the Bluetooth headphones but there's alot of research proving that they are dangerous especially because ttey send the signal straight through you scull and brain and I have noticed I carnt sleep after using them so I'm not using them any more but am struggling to find a decent pair of wired headphones, Is the sound quality good?

    seeing what you dig , i think you should remove the notched sections and learn to listen to the detector instead. just an advice . great video

    Pretty sure it's a broken horseshoe the spikes would have been the nails they used to secure it to the hoof

    Your bullet is a Minie Ball which have a hollow base with 2 or 3 rings. As for which side fired it, that would be impossible to really say since they were used by both sides. Your other one is too small for a military arm of that period. GL&HH.

    • @carterscatch61
      @carterscatch61  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok thanks. I think it's a Burnside Carbine .54 cal now that I've had time to research it. The suspected pistol shot was found only a few feet away from it. Is why I thought it was from the same period. Thanks for the input!

    • @marktompkinstreasurehunter4363
      @marktompkinstreasurehunter4363 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@carterscatch61 I don't think it is a Burnside bullet. Burnside bullets don't have a hollow base as they are fired from a casing. Minie balls have a hollow base because because they are smaller than the rifle bore for ease of loading. When fired the hollow base expands into the rifling two both make a seal so the gases don't escape past the bullet and to engage the rifling.

    • @carterscatch61
      @carterscatch61  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are correct. So it's a 2 ring minie.
