In 2011 at the Murray Machining & Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway the venue manager Tim McAvaney laid the water truck over for a sleep. Geeeeeprs at the time I felt so sorry for Tim, he was getting a lot of stick for his accident, and I remember thinking at the time, 'it's an accident, nobody got hurt other than Tim's pride so c'mon give him a break' and... 'All you can do is smile,' hence the name of the video.
It was a memorable day I will never forget. Sunday, 23-05-2011, Trevor Scott and I were the Murray Bridge commentators back then and it was the final meeting of the 2010 / 11 summer season. A day show to celebrate the end of another fantastic season, a picnic like atmosphere despite the rain at the end of the day.
Well done to all of the officials and recovery personel for rescuing the sleeping water truck and on with the show, at the end the rain had set in but we just got the final event in which was the AMCA Nationals feature.

Definately a unique Roll-over Event for sure... Never seen a water-truck do this before?
the water truck and driver lived to fight another day
if you watch the video you will notice the driver in the yellow jacket walking away from the truck and nursing a sore shoulder.
the driver hit the gutter a bit too fast and the momentum of the water swishing in the tank tipped the truck onto its side.
how did he tip the water truck over?? never seen that before, was the bloke that was driving ok??

No bloody music Paris.
Manager Maciveny rolled the water truck, not a first however but should not have happened.
