Been looking at several videos on keyboards. it's shocking that so many DO NOT review the actual keybed and key action. The most used part of the actual keyboard..
Nice overview. M-Audio seems to offer the most on paper, but I think the Novation is probably still the best of these if you live inside Ableton Live. I'd suggest looking at £150 keyboards next, which would include the Native Instruments M32 (or A25), the original Arturia Keystep, the iRig Keys 2, etc. They don't usually feature pads, but they quality of the keys is typically better.
No M-VAVE smk-25 ? pads , endless encoders, pitch strips, transport buttons, sustain jack, cheap price and can be used with an iPad. And It’s Bluetooth! Probably not the best built but I like it for iOS music
Initially dismissed the M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini but it is insanely editable. DAW mode, Preset Mode... the editor is amazing. If it had more than one endless encoder, it would destroy. I own 3 out of these 5. Sold the MPK Mini MK3... pads are good but not much else (screen is useless / tiny) even though it's nice to have those encoders. Launchkey Mini MK3 is pretty good but the pads can be a bit oversensitive. Would be nice if it had more than one Custom mode (like its big brother Launchkey MK3) for the pads and knobs. Minilab MK2 is awesome-- 16 endless encoders-- two clickable (and shiftable). 7 maps, not including the main Analog Lab mode. Good stuff. But that M-Audio... whoa.
I'm torn, the M-Audio seems the best option for me overall but what started me on this search was a controller with great pads for finger drumming which seems to be where the Akai shines.
I also find the m-audio the most advantageous keyboard in terms of functionality, but at the same time, the arturia's build quality and its keyboard make me choose...)
@@kgoodfarms I believe that each of the presented keyboards will bring a lot of pleasure in the process of creating music) The main thing is that the instrument helps and inspires. For me, the reliability of the keyboard was decisive, and accuracy, I opted for the MiniLab MK2
Each one you think it's the best speaking about keys sensitivity and playability?!?! I really was expecting you talk about it too... Thanks a lot for the review!
Great video I was wondering what all came with oxygen pro mini, thank you very much for explaining all the different daw’s that it comes with… I think I’ll get it now….
The m-audio should be the best, but it’s not. The Novation has the best integration with Ableton, Logic and other DAWS out of the box. The way Novation makes use of the pads to switch modes, and the custom controls with Components set it apart. The more pads and knobs the better - this is going to be more a control surface than a midi piano - so the key bed feel shouldn’t be a big factor. The smart chords, arpeggiator and randomizer are nifty but most DAWs have these built-in. I prefer to have midi modifiers in the project, rather than rely on the controller. These are all a ton of fun 😁
will the M Audio Oxygene Pro mini or the 'Arturi minilab Mk 2 work with my Ipad DAW like Garadge Band, Cubasis 3.5 and Auria Pro? Thanks and more power to you.
Most important thing, that is omited in reviewing keyboard: MOST IMPORTANT THING: THE QUALITY OF KEYS!!! What are keys the responsiveness and build quality in M-adurio oxygene pro mini? or made of cheap Chinese plastic?
@@KhydroDjent I tested FL Keys37 live... the keys are very flabby, not so dynamic and springy resilient as my Novation impulse 49... do not trust reviews test it by yourself live
@@KhydroDjent the best keys I tested so far are from Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol m32. Arturia`s minikeys are very stiff and hard, there is no flexibility and fun in playing, you have to hit hard. M-audio is very good company, you have to try by youself. I havent tested FL keys mini I think they are a bit rubbish... I recommend you to try M-audio pro mini... could be good. For this moment I could choose NI Komplete m32 I haven`t tested m-audio pro mini so far you can choose between these two.
@@konradzlu5h thanks for the reply man, great help :) I decided to go for the m-audio mini, heard good things about the key feel and I like they it's smaller! The 25 key version was just hench and don't have the space.
1. Oxygen 2. Novation 3. Arturia 4. Akai 5. SubZero
Thaaaanks, God bless 🙏
Nektar lx25 ?

Best explanation of midi basics and comparisons of most popular ones. This video was useful to me. Thank you for taking the time!

Novation launchkey vs arturia keystep 32 vs minilab 2? Estou muito balançado pelo keystep 32
MiniLab

You mentioned akai gives over 1500 sounds, I'm very curious to know how much sounds we get with the oxygen pro mini
M audio and akai are the same m audio is more of a control work flow but akai is more portable.
I have one rule: never listen to advise from someone who wants to sell you something.

Whats best for IPad Pro M1 using cubasis 3 or beatmaker 3 ?
I’m just after something that will allow me to make simple background music for my physics videos using Logic Pro X. Any clear winners from this lot?

The m-audio only gives you 7 notes extra, not 12 (an octave)
Pointless video. Without any impressions it´s pointless. You basically said what is written on the packages.
Tomorrow my m audio oxygen will arrive. It offers more software than others and have 32 keys. Beside that it can play without using a daw
Arturia MiniLAB 3 or M-Audio Oxygen Pro 32?
What did you choose?
hi there im wondering would one of them work with my oneplus 8 pro ? i have got fl studio mobile
Yes
Amigo hay otro controlador como el Komplete m32 que tal es su funcionamiento.
M-Audio all the way...
is this little Z's brother?
This is only FL Keys hype... you get cheaper construction, flabby keys in double price.... not worth it.
This is a basic tutorial on what is a midi keyboard than actually a comparison lot of explanation unnecessary
Chances are that someone who is looking for a budget keyboard under 100 is likely a beginner. So it really is necessary
