I’d say they did pretty good with Ben solo since JJ god him to return from the light side and do good, I’d say they did do Ben solo justice, and tbf they would need to make a bonus movie for the skywalker saga for Ben solo and rey
Good job about Ben survival . I think that Ben could join the resistance immediately being Rey his guarantor. His knowledge of the First Order would be very helpful to the Resistance because he is aware of strong and weak points of the First Order so he could help not only to win the war but to shorten it.
Agreed. Not to mention, how many truly know what Kylo Ren looks like or that his real name was Ben Solo. He could go around helping & making amends where possible.
I feel as though Ben would have gone into hiding, aiding the galaxy from the shadows while Rey rebuilt the Jedi Order. She would know he was out there, watching and waiting for when he was needed.
I wish Ben, Phasma, Hux, Pryde, Luke, Leia, and Han survived. Kylo Ren, Rey, and Phasma definitely were some of my favorite characters. This is how things should have happened. I think there might a possibility, a small one, that Ben Solo is alive somewhere, I know this is probably wishful thinking on my part but I think when Palpatine threw him of the cliff he maybe didn't come back phycically, he came back via the Force like Luke did to face him on Crate, it killed Luke because he and Ben were not a dyad. Rey and Ben could touch and communicate via the Force, the only two who could do that because of the dyad. I know this is a stretch but as much as I love the Sequels I will never understand why one of the best characters in Star Wars history was killed off so soon, in my opinion he was not only one of the best character in SW history but movie history. Exigol is a mystical place too so who knows what goes on there and what is possible. Unfortunately the novel for TROS makes it pretty clear that Ben faded to the Force in Rey's mind, but I hope Rey was just to traumatized and confused after everything that happened to fully grasp what happened to him. I don´t understand either why Leia had to wait for Ben just so she could become one with the Force, or seperate entity within the Force like some Jedis.
He IS alive. He is trapped in the World Between Worlds. They say they're bringing him back! They deserve a happy ending together. No longer alone but thriving together & in love but happy too.

Now we can explain how Rey healed the wound she inflicted to Kylo. Rey poured the Force that surrounds them over the the wound, concentrating and focusing until undoing all the all the damage. If Kylo didn't know this technique, we can be shure that he was aware what Rey was doing, so in some sense this was like a lesson from Rey and later he applied to Rey after confronting Palatine , so Ben don't have to die. His death is against canon.

We as fans have been robbed of every single darksideer that turns back. We all have watched what if Darth Vader survived ROJ, you know you have. I'm no despot Rey hater but I do wish they would've had the courage to let her for a time join the darkside. Ryan Johnson said he tried to put all his characters through the worst he could , not Rey being a nobody wasn't it all star wars fans know that for a Jedi falling to the darkside is the worst, being a nobody ( first was stupid) since for one movie is canon should've pushed her to join Kylo. Then the last movie with Palpatine's, both of them, could've really been something with both kylo and Rey battling it out not for Jedi and Sith but who would rule then maybe give Finn something to to like turn Rey back ( to the light)who then either turns Ben back or kills him
Mind-controlling everyone on the ship? That sounds pretty damn dark side. A Jedi mind-trick only lasts a few seconds and even that is morally questionable, but mass mind-control is an entirely different category. Isn't Ben trying to stay AWAY from the dark side?

My thought has always been that he become one with Rey and she would learn to Force project his separate consciousness post TROS.
