I'm leaving my hometown for the 3rd time in my life. Every time I did it, I couldn't maintain discipline to sustain myself long-term. The last time I returned home was due to a major health incident which was out of my control. But I still felt like a failure who had to keep running back to his parents every time things got tough. Then I get stuck in a rut anyway because my home environment is toxic and leaves little energy for growth. Despite that, now I can confidently say I am the best version of myself in all areas and have a solid plan to make sure I don't make the same mistakes. But honestly, part of me is still scared of reverting back to my old ways and messing up again.
Bro, happy to hear this! The blessing here is that you know exactly where your achilles heel is, i.e the thing that can make you fall again. Youve picked yourself up several times and now you have good momentum. Guard the momentum with your life until where you are now is fully your new default of living. From there, it only goes up
Really good perspectives. I've had similar thoughts as well. Subbed. Were there any books in particular that helped you develop these insights? What you said about clinging to the environment was interesting.
i want to do exactly what u are talking here, in like 4 - 6 weeks, to third biggest city in my country.. im 25. :( i have also great opportunity to move to another place in my small city (now im livin with mom), for like 40 % of cost living what big city will cost me. And im still choosing that big city. Maybe im crazy
I think you're doing the right thing by going to the big city. Give yourself a bit more time and make sure you stack cash reserves and then go for it bro. You'll do great
@@EricEliahyes, I’m broke even though I’ve spent 6 years working in grocery stores. If I HAVE to leave my hometown right now then that would mean that it’s best to go homeless and with no car. (The only car I’ve ever bought is dead. Someone crashed into it.)
@@Z-A-C Why are you broke if you've spent 6 years working in grocery stores brother? Where has all that money gone? If this is the case for you, no, don’t leave your hometown right away. Stack a bit and then dip. However, always take full responsibility brother. No matter what. No victim mentality, it’s going to keep you in the same loop forever. I don’t know the full story, but from the simple sentence "I’m broke even though I’ve spent 6 years working in grocery stores" it sounds like you haven’t been good with stacking the money you make and creating a buffert for yourself, and I get the feeling of you not taking responsibility. I’m not trying to make you feel worse, the opposite brother. Realize your fuck ups (again, IF this is because of yourself, idk the full story) and rebuild. 1. Stack cash, live below your means 2. Find a money producing vehicle online 3. At the same time as nr 2, leave your hometown Best of luck brother, DM me on IG if you need anything more from me. Here to help
Hey bro completely agree. I think that it also depends on quality of your environment because living with parents has definitely benefits because you can save a lot much money if you work 9-5 and it also depends on quality oif relationships with parents and people in city. Completely agree bro, you never see how people around you, how habits that youy have influence you until you quit it or change it. In conclusion, I agree with you and changing the environment and the people around you makes sense as long as your goal is to gain freedom and wealth. Most of the people I know who moved to another city for college just rolled over and started hanging out with junkies which only made them regress in life.
That's true, living at home is a cheat code to stacking cash. But for me, it's not worth the emotional turmoil. It's hard to build yourself up to the next level if there's a constant earthquake at your feet. That's what it feels like for me living at home. So I did the smart thing and built myself a buffer to let me move out. Then I can live on my own terms and grow to my potential.
your voice only comes from the left headphone
So fucking true man. This is facts. I feel like I just have to change my environment at this point in order to achieve the next level
You're destined for greatness brother

What happens if I improve too much in this shitty environment?
Then you improve too much in that shitty environment
Leaving the hometown requires getting rich first so which one comes first?
Do you need to be rich to leave your hometown?
