right, mixing wasabi into soy sauce is a big mistake. but for drinking of sake acutually we don't much mind if you fill your cup or glass for yourself.
I guess I can shed light on this because I'm a Japanese. It is considered "ill-mannered" way of eating sushi or sashimi in my country. First, It is a manner or way of eating sushi and sashimi established hundreds of years ago and you can not argue it. Second, if you mix wasabi into soy sauce, you may not taste the different flavor or taste of "neta" (a slice of raw fish on the sushi rice) , up you may end up finding every "neta" have the same taste. Third, it is somehow connected with a "tea-ceremony manner" which too was established hundreds years ago. You are highly expected not to mess up your plate. You can easily imagine what will happen once you you mix wasabi into soy souce. Your soy sauce will get cloudy and messy.
CORRECTIONS BY YAMADA (1) You should NOT smear the wasabi onto your sushi or sashimi. A tiny piece of wasabi, placed on the middle area is just fine and look more elegant. (2) You should also never mix the wasabi with the say sauce in the tiny soy sauce dish. (3) The best way to dip your sushi in the soy sauce is on the neta side. Nevertheless, if you like more soy sauce, you can hold your sushi side way with your chopsticks and dip its side in the soy sauce. By the way, when you go to the high end sushi bar and with omakase menu, you are supposed NOT to dip your sushi in the soy sauce. This is because the each carefully created sushi is already seasoned with soy sauce and other sauce(s) when they are served in front of you. (4) Less than 1 inch of the tip of your chopsticks are physically used in the traditional Japanese dining including sushi, sashimi, miso soup, tempura, teriyaki, etc. The highly skilled and refined use of the chopsticks make it so elegant. Neburibashi is not allowed. (5) Cupcakes can be eaten more elegantly by using a dessert fork. You can trim and eat one bite at a time. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE AN IDIOTIC-LOOKING CUPCAKE HAMBURGER. WHAT A MESS!
The Last point definitely have to be correct In this video they also told to cut the burger into half...... So when you say that eat your cupcake like a hamburger....... Do we have to cut it into half?
Storytime! I used to ALWAYS make cupcake sandwiches. I learned it from one of my elementary teachers. But the next year, my teacher YELLED AT ME in front of the entire class, and told me to “eat my cupcakes appropriately”. I was so confused, and I just continued to make cupcake sandwiches anyway 😂
#11 shoulda been called wraps....or rolls etc, since there are so very many types of em. Burritos, Gyros, Lahmahcun, you name it. The idea is the same...never unwrap em fully, and just take it bite by bite. PLUS! The aluminium foil wrapped around it helps keep it warm.

#10: In Belgium we use a whole empty mussel shell to eat mussels. Press the two empty shell halves together and use the end of the mussel to scrape the flesh of another shell, than grab the meat using the empty shell as a pincher. BTW: we are notorious for the amount of mussels we eat on a yearly base :)
Im a Japanese and for us, it does matter. If you eat with Japanese, follow the tips in the video or otherwise, you make yourself embarrassed for having poor etiquette.
+Romancefantasy even the most confident person in the world if that person is a nice person will be mindful of the way they eat when visiting other places (unless of course they personally know that those places are not particular with manners and the way you eat after all in the philippines its perfectly fine to use your hands in eating anything short of soup or soup-based food but in some countries it is not acceptable) because it shows that you respect the culture of the people in that country and are mindful of others (it might be news to you but there are in fact people who lose their appetites after seeing messy eaters who are no longer children)
However you want to eat it, except for South India as you can eat anyhow but not with the left hand except for left handies they have to eat with left only
Also something I'd like to add from the sushi/sashimi category - Whenever you eat the bowl of rice, NEVER place your chopsticks standing up inside the bowl because it represents someone who died.

6:50 thats a gyro. In Greek it's really popular and many people eat it. I can say that its a gyro cause it has meat with zaziki which is a sauce in Greek, and I love it
I find that when I eat mussels I open one first use my fork then I use the empty one like a tong and pull out the mussel for the next mussel. It's a neater way to eat mussels I also get comments on this such as that's a smart idea!
Here in Brittany we use an empty mussel shell instead of a fork and they are almost always eaten with Frites and baguettes (to mop up the sauce!). 🇫🇷 BON APPÉTIT 🇫🇷👍
Hi, galician here. Since I live in a place with some of the better world's seafood and even the money that maintains my family comes from seafood industry, there's a more simple way to eat it better that scraping. Just separe the shelf and use the part without meat to go under the meat and separate it. It's so much easier and you don't get shell scrapes in your food
Another tip for eating spaghetti or any long noodles is if you have some danglers, turn your fork horizontally and place it under your chin behind the noodle. then you can kind of lift the noodle away from you as you slurp it in avoiding the noodle whipping you in the chin or elsewhere.
the thing i found really helpful from 6 down is that its okay to use your hands, 8 is also helpful but i found it easier to just keep the burger in the wrapping while i eat or if im at a restaurant (like an actual burger place like the mushroom house in tagaytay not the fast food restaurants) use a knife to cut off the portion i want and then eat it, 13 just bring a napkin and wipe yourself, lots of places give you forks to eat with and if a knife is available why not just cut the part you want to eat and then eat it wont be messy if you put the icing in your mouth first
I've never eaten any of these things(except corn on the cob)probably because I am in South India and one more thing,Bright side, can you please reveal the person who talks please(in the next video)But anything, nice video.
I’m leaving so many comments... but whatever. You don’t need foil on a burrito. I love sushi or sashimi and I was glad you got those right but some of these are kinda dumb. And idk about muscles but you eat oysters off the shell.
Hard Shell tacos! I always go for the soft shell because the hard shell is annoying. They put all of the lettuce and the tomatoes at the top so if you eat from the top down you're not getting a good bite of everything. Then there's also a good chance that the bottom of the shell cracks in half (where the meat usually is) and you have to hold it level.
Michael Keeter, then chances are you also won’t end up with a well paying, responsible job with some authority either, because like it or not appearances including etiquette do matter, as you not only represent yourself, but, also the company that you work for.
Here is how you properly eat mussels: You should open the mussel with your hand (you should start opening it from the tip of it, not the round part) then you use the half of the shell (the one with the meat attached to it) as a plate, and the other half as a spoon. So you can use the other half to scrape the meat off from the shell like a spoon, then eat the meat like its on a spoon. !!DO NOT USE A FORK!!
Some people said they don’t care how they look when eating in public But for me as a person who have insecure about eating in front people have watch this 4 time already
Great video - Thank You! If I am out @ a restaurant I usually don’t order the foods that I make a mess from! I save “those” foods for ordering take out or delivery & I can be as messy and not so proper as I want to b - @ home LOL!
if you eat mytilidae i have lernd that you use your fork only for the first mussel to pull it out of its shell after that you use the now empty shell like somekind of forceps ,and you stack the empty shells in each other with the exception of your forceps-working-tool-mussel

And idk about muscles but you eat oysters off the shell.
sashimi has parasites
great tips. i shall share that with my friends.
Was helpful for me. Thanks bro
Sweet audio.

Happiness is when all the delicious things ive seen in this video....
Would be on my table the next sec.😁
It gets so intense when the music gets loud, lmbo.
This guy is too funny. I watched it again just for the humor. Lol
I agree with you. He's smart. I am curious who is he.. His image I mean...
If someone wants to judge me for the way I eat that's on them not me. I'm not going to be embarrassed.
Michael Keeter, then chances are you also won’t end up with a well paying, responsible job with some authority either, because like it or not appearances including etiquette do matter, as you not only represent yourself, but, also the company that you work for.
He sounds like the guy who's the voice behind "How it's made"
There are audio glitches sometimes between transitions and it gets very loud during the glitch. Just pointing it out.
While watching this video I noticed alot of these things I've been doing right my whole life. Yay!
"Firmly grasp it in your hand."
*drops
"Firmly grasp it."
*drops
"Firmly GRASP IT!!!"
"MMhMmhmhhMMhh!"
"There. That oughta do it."
With all due respect but with 18 Mln subscribers you would expect a good edit. The continuous much louder 2 second in betweens should not happen.
Here is how you properly eat mussels:
You should open the mussel with your hand (you should start opening it from the tip of it, not the round part) then you use the half of the shell (the one with the meat attached to it) as a plate, and the other half as a spoon. So you can use the other half to scrape the meat off from the shell like a spoon, then eat the meat like its on a spoon.
!!DO NOT USE A FORK!!
Spaghetti always got me. Luckily I rarely have it. The cupcake sandwich idea is new to me, so I'll try that the next time.
Some people said they don’t care how they look when eating in public
But for me as a person who have insecure about eating in front people have watch this 4 time already
E'en though I neatly eat with courtesy, I still can't bare to pass this video by... 😕
REALLY? So glad to know that with ALL the WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES, I can always COUNT on THIS site to tell me what's REALLY IMPORTANT!🤔😅😄🤣😂😁😉
After living in Japan for 11 years, I was taught that mixing wasabi and soy sauce is considered wrong and rude.
Great video - Thank You!
If I am out @ a restaurant I usually don’t order the foods that I make a mess from! I save “those” foods for ordering take out or delivery & I can be as messy and not so proper as I want to b - @ home LOL!

What happens if you have no shame 🤔
I’m proud of myself. Already figured out how to eat cupcakes, corn and wasabi 😁.
if you eat mytilidae i have lernd that you use your fork only for the first mussel to pull it out of its shell after that you use the now empty shell like somekind of forceps ,and you stack the empty shells in each other with the exception of your forceps-working-tool-mussel
I was eating a cupcake and I ate the wrapper
BluxGamez

DO NOT MIX WASABI IN YOUR SOY SAUCE. It is actually disrespectful in japan
do you put it on the piece of sushi itself then?
Another commenter said to place a TINY BIT of wasabi at the center of the piece.
by paying for the meals
