I was yelling "GAS MASK!" the whole time, the last room he goes into has a gas mask and he walks right past it and goes down without one.
Then the gotdang loading screen shows a friggen gas mask and I expect him to him to realize his mistake, but then the briefcase he grabbed had a fuckin' GAS MASK ALREADY IN IT!
He can and _will_ keep getting away with it
It was a rollercoaster of emotions. But when will the egg learn to prioritise the radio?

Wouldn't it better to start the initial gathering section as far as possible from the shelter's trapdoor? I also feel the gas mask is crucial for supplies, since the radiation doesn't go away until +10 days in.
thats the smartest thing to do also its been so long but pretty sure if i ran by the hole with half filled hands a quick dump was worth it... even in episode 17 he still isnt to good at utilizing those 60 seconds well

nl big tip is during the time before 60 secs where you look where the loot it, go to the furthest loot for that first trip.

I don't understand the tired mechanic of this game. How do you cure it? Do you have to keep them out of like hungry/thirsty status for a set amount of time or something?

Tired happens on certain events or if the same person is sent out scavenging a lot. The only real penalty is if they are tired they can't go scavenging. To sure it you need to feed them a lot more than usual, usually every time they get hungry rather than rationing for them.
Tired is caused by being hungry (not sure if thirsty too) or by having been out to scavenge. Its just to create a trade-off for stretching the supplies VS feeding properly

if you are intrested sharikov isnt a word in russian, it's a surname that (i think) is related to the word sharik(ball) which is a popular dog name

This is why I think 60 Parsecs! is a strictly better squeal. Your success in 60 Seconds relies too much on rng. If you need a flashlight to win but you didn't grab one at the start, then you're basically out of luck. You just have to hope you find one or that someone will trade. Not being able to craft or repair broken items means that the end of the game is boring and hard because you don't have any items. NL basically couldn't do 90% of the events in this run because he just didn't have a way of getting items. In addition, people you send on an expedition could die randomly, even if their status was good. The crafting and expedition system in 60 Parsecs! gives the player more control over things that could end your run randomly.
You should've seen the Streams where NL tried to play 60 Parsecs!, his run got completely ruined twice in a row due to a random event which killed his entire crew, and he had no items to defend from it. He was pretty disappointed, to say the least, and I don't think he's gonna try it again I suppose.
@@Enzic I watched it live. I really want to clarify how much of a statistical improbability that was.
-That bomb event only happens on that specific planet, and there are three possible planets to land on.
-That event is rare, even on that planet. One of the rarer events, especially in the early game.
-Even if you don't have the necessary items for that event, there is still a possibility that you can survive it. It happened to me. You can have no items and there is a chance the characters will live.
-The chances of getting to that event without a gun or armor is low, but that has more to do with planning.
-The chances of getting the same planet for two runs in a row, let alone the same event, is INSANELY low.
NL got some of the worst and most improbable luck I've seen in that game. The chances of all those things happening twice in a row is basically less than 1%
And if you think about it, 60 Seconds does the same thing constantly. NL died because he didn't grab the flashlight, and the game never gave him the chance to find one. Just like how he died in 60 Parces! because he didn't have armor. The only difference is that it took him 40 minutes to die without the flashlight, where the bomb event will just kill you instantly.

Please ration your supplies wisely. People don't actually need food when they're hungry, only when they're starving. The same thing goes for thirst and dehydration.
