About this game:
With only 60 seconds left to impact, go on a mad dash through the house in search of family members and useful supplies. Everything will be against you: time, your very own furniture, a house that's different every time you play, and the fundamental question... what to take with you and who to leave behind? - เกม

To be fair, any game that lets NL live out his fantasy of living with his cat in a secluded underground bunker free from people calling him egghead is worth having such information in the title.
If you wait till people are dehydrated and then give them water it fixes the thirst completely and saves on water
I'm wondering how his rationing got worse. Like last episode it did improve and then here "oh you're feeling a bit peckish and have a dry throat, have some food and water".
@@fallouthirteen I was thinking the same thing. I think this video was recorded BEFORE the video he actually learned. Maybe. Hopefully. I REFUSE to believe this Egg is regressing.
MagnumPiCactus Unfortunately I think he has in fact regressed, since he saw the tank event as in progress. He only did the first tank event last episode if I’m not mistaken, so they can’t be uploaded in the wrong order.

No, he definitely didn't, the tank is cross episode progression and it has the spikes from last episode. The eps are in order he just regressed hard.

NL if someone is sick and you don’t have a medkit; giving the sick person food and water every day for a couple of days may have a a chance to remove the illness

Edit: How was your rationing so much worse than the previous episode as far as water was concerned. Any time anybody was a little parched you gave them water

Status effects superguide:
1) Hunger/Thirst: they WON'T kill you. The game will reduce your chances of getting cured of sickness / tiredness / fatigue if you have any of them. As long as you are healthy, you should ignore these effects as long as you give everyone food+water EVERY 5TH DAY.
2) Starvation/Dehydration: they WILL kill you. The game rolls for both a chance of getting sick and a chance of killing your character when you are starved/dehydrated. Don't risk even a single day with these effects.
3) Tiredness: Caused by random events + Scavenging. It will make you unable to go outside. Has a high chance of getting cured, even with Hunger+Thirst status effects. Nothing to worry about, it's just a countermeasure from the game to keep you from sending the same member over and over.
4) Fatigue: Caused by staying on the shelter for too long. Same as Hunger/Thirst, the game will give you a penalty to your chances of getting cured from sickness/tiredness. It can get cured randomly, but the easiest way is to just go outside. Having tiredness+fatigue at the same time can be quite annoying, since they both screw each other chances of going away.
5) Sickness: BIG WORRY. HUGE HUGE WORRY. Caused by random events, starvation, dehydration and radiation. It gives you hunger and/or thirst almost everyday, and it has a very low chance of getting cured on its own, almost non-existant with more than 1 status effect. Give them everything they ask for for higher chances. Medkit is a "Get out of Jail Free" card. It can give your other people sickness too. If you are lucky, you can get the "shower" random event and cure everyone.
6) Injured: Makes you unable to go outside. Does not go away. If not treated, causes sickness and at that point you are pretty much fucked. If you have enough food/water to treat sickness, you should try to keep your aidkit for this status effect. The chances of getting injured by scavenging / random events are fairly low, though.
7) Insanity: You can get this by being a bitch to other survivors (like stealing from your neighbor Ned), as well as random events. Can be cured by getting a pet (but not too many!), or giving supplies to people in need. Insanity will increase or decrease depending on your decisions - you won't get inmediately insane from refusing to help a survivor. Causes all kind of trouble, from randomly destroying supplies to outright leaving the shelter.

I think it would be less annoying that he completely misunderstands the rationing system if he didn't talk about being confused about the rationing system... He genuinely thinks they get hungry and thirsty randomly

too many cats!
Never send people on expeditions with nothing in their hands, even something like ammo or cars gives them a better chance to bring back valuables. Also send the kids before adults because if both adults die then you lose the game. Lastly Timmy is the best at gathering during expeditions.

Just feed them all food and water every 5 days and make sure they are fed before expeditions. Its that simple but yet through so many runs NL still can't ration supplies at all

I’ve never played this game but after watching a few hours of gameplay it definitely seems like once things start to head south it’s almost impossible to pull it back out a good start seems key

Timmy is a terrible scavenger. Based on previous episodes it seems like Ted is the best overall scavenger because he gets 2 soup 2 water + utilities every time. Dolores is a decent scavenger because she usually brings back soup. The children are the worst scavengers because they either die outside or bring back very little resources
can someone please explain what the red symbol in the top left of his thumbnails is?
I kind of feel like there is some white knight being played off as "best choice"....how is it Timmy and Ted are always best suited for the missions even the one where Delores specifically wanted the coffee. I haven't seen her leave the bunker once in the TH-cam videos.

That is not white knighting, in an apocalypse situation men would go to expedition because they are stronger physically. Women in this game are not like the resident evil milla jovovich's character, they are just a housewife and an overweight girl. If you look at it that way it might be a little sexist but not white knighting

@@AliKandirr A couple of things with this statement:
1. This is a game, by never sending the female out it does reveal a psychological observation of either "white knight" or sexism. It is either protection of females or a belief that they are not as capable.
2. The behaviour could be due to social learning of roles. Men are protectors and the "man" of the family. You can see as soon as Ted is tired, Timmy goes out. I.E when the father leaves the house he leaves the boy in charge to take care of the women, despite him being the youngest and most likely weakest member of the family. This is most definitely one of the two things, protection or sexism.
3. Men are not stronger than women in all cases, all the time, either mentally or physically or in terms of immune system ETC. So it would be stupid of men to instantly be the ones to do anything instead of a woman if a woman is more qualified to do so. (almost the very definition of sexism) If you as a weaker male decided to go out in to the apocalypse you are 50% less likely to survive than a female, you are either a white knight, or just straight up sexist.
4. I did mention it before but Timmy does appear to be the smallest, frailest and youngest family member. He really should be your last resort in going out in to the waste land. How did you put it..."an overweight girl" and a "house wife" would still most likely be more capable than a boy, in virtually every aspect.
My comment didn't warrant this level of debate...and you can hit me with a TL;DR if you like, I have spoken to enough low attention span, low intelligence people in the comments to know most of the time more than 6 words is "a book" or I am "wasting my time" or some other statement which doesn't further the discussion but is to some how disparage my statements or me as a human being.
