Thank you for your video. In 2022 I was able to locate two dan wesson 1911’s, they are pretty rare in Mi. A 2002 Pointman 45 major and a blued 2021 valor. The 2002 it took about $300 in parts to get it operational. The 2021 very slightly used valor v-bob was a jam-o-matic. Since it was so new, I ran 550 rounds of fmj thru it cleaning every 50 rounds as Dan Wesson recommends for break in. After 550 rounds it was still having 1 or two rounds per mag have fail to feed fully into the barrel using oem, wilson, chip McCormick, sig, springfield, desert eagle, and tripp cobra mags. Dan Wesson said they would not help out without paying for repairs. God bless the shop I purchased it from, their gunsmith straitened it out. I do like the v-bob now that it is functional.
I have this handgun. Mighty fine shooter. Have run several different brands of ammo through it, and it runs em all down the pipe like it should. It carries well with Wilson Combat OWB holster. Looking to purchase the Valor next. The quality is exceptional....

Brother I've been trying to find a Dan Wesson for over a year. Just on a whim I ran to the gun store in Vandalia and they had 1 Guardian. As soon as I held it I knew that was my girl. Bought it on the spot. And video doesn't do her justice, she's much more beautiful in person. Just waiting on my ammo to arrive so we can go dance. 😁

@@SGT1911 Sorry took so long to get back. The Dan Wesson Guardian had some issues. wouldn't lock back and the rear sight came loose. Sent it back, they fixed it, and it works perfect. Quarter sized hole at 15 feet unsupported. Definitely better than what we had in the Army! LOL. Love this gun, this is truly a till death do us part relationship! Love the channel. Be blessed.
Dan Wesson's (and the Springfiled TRP) are alll the gun any one truly NEEDS. It strikes a balce between a full production $1100 1911 from S&W and a high $ boutique TX BBq gun by the "custom" companies like Wilson, Nighthawk....etc. Don't know if all DW 1911's have forged steel parts or if it's only the Specialist. IMHO bourtique 1911's $3000-PLUS...are just for showing off at hte range or at a Tx BBQ.....no one in their ridhgt mind is going to use an $80000 1911 for "duty" or "home defense/CC" (where you might lose the gun for a long time or ...forever? Even if you managed to convince the duge your werejustified in shooting the bad guys defending your home....(assuming you durvive)...)...
Those are all you need. But it sure is nice to have some nice handguns to shoot. You CAN for sure tell the difference in quality with some if the custom gun's. Thanks for watching
That is a beautiful beautiful pistol, man I'd love to have that in my collection. Those grips really grab the attention. SGT is that a aluminum alloy frame and does that have a full ramp. I bought a Desert Eagle Undercover BUL made and is the non ramped fragile , I hope you understand my question ❓
Hey Wayne, funny you mentioned that D.E., I just got my U series and sent it to my gunsmith to be two toned, wilson slide stop and wide thumb saftey. Mine is a ramped bull barrel with 7 rd mags. I've heard that other people got no ramp and 6 rd mags.

Good question... I don't know. There are enty of unknowns to even think about. Sure you would think the makers has done some testing. It is better than polymer? I can imagine it will last longer than I will and that is enough for me. Thanks for watching

I just got a DW PM9 yesterday. I have not shot it yet but compared to my 3 other Springfields, the DW just feels like a much better quality build. I also have 2 Mustangs. I forgive you for that Ford Mustang comment bc I love your video's. I'm a big fan of the 1911. Keep your video's coming, brother! 👍👍
Hay SGT, guess what I picked up yesterday?😁 I saw it at my FFL and I grabbed it. They first showed me the DW in 9mm. I said naah after I saw the 45. It's a Dan Wesson vigil 4.25" 45acp. Short frame 7 round light weight. I looked on the slide and it did not say CCO. So I don't know if the changed the stamp on the slide but I ran some ball food through it and that is my new CCW for a little while. I gave my nephew the opportunity to rip the first rounds through it. I almost didn't get it back.😁 He did like my Ronin 45 I just did a trigger job on after watching your other video on that. That's about 3.5lbs with quick reset. I spent about 4hrs took my time so I didn't screw it up. Polished everything. He really loved that to.

The key to the trigger is just time. don't get in a hurry and just polish, don't remove any metal. make it slick. sounds like you got it down pat. good job.

Leather is what I do and you are absolutely right. All of my pieces live in either an open top or thumb brake leather holster at my 30clk or 4
