I was nice for Ray to sit and talk to a someone who wasn't overbearing and judgemental.
Seriously. When Debra learns that Ray was up late talking with Pat, she gets all angry just cause Ray has a nice conversation with her, but doesn’t talk to her when shes never taken interest in anything he has to say.
I LOVE Everybody loves Raymond.. but I hate that they turned Debra into a permanently angry wife. In rewatching the show, they made Debra pretty normal for the first 2 seasons. After that, it was just kind of weird.
Ray and Debra are a perfect example of a couple that desperately need divorce. She is constantly verbally abusing him, making fun of him or berating him while he is emotionally unavailable and doesnt help around the house.
@@blackspider1405I think it’s called flanderizarion or something?
Ray: What do you think of my Dad?
Looong silence…..
Pat: I think we should finish the puzzle 😂😂😂
"I think we should finish the puzzle" . Hilarious and perfect timing.
Amy's family was such a great addition to the show. I like Debra's parents well enough, but I think Amy's parents were a better rounded and stronger mirror to the Barones.
I like this episode and how authentic Amy mother was portrayed.
Georgia Engel was only in her mid 50's here. I didn't realize how young she was on the show.
Her old lady haircut ages her appearance so much!
She was 15 years older than Monica Horan (Amy's actress)
I love her voice , its so soothing
I love Peter's reaction when he finds out his mom opened the puzzle.
This is such a sweet scene in a plethora of crazy funny ones. I’d forgotten about it.
Rest in peace Georgia Engel 1948-2019, it was nice that Ray and Pat were talking, but I didn’t like that everyone was making a big deal out of it
Her timing and delivery were superb..
Why is that?
She is hilariously underrated
Because it’s so different and unexpected from the rest. And there’s a lot of people out there that try to look for the good in people, take an interest, instead of making it all about themselves.
There was never another like Georgia Engel!
You’ve been to Tampa? 😂😂😂
This is like the equivalent of an emotional affair🤣🤣🤣🤣
I completely get it. As a stayed home Mom I get wanting to get out more and see more, even though I love my job, that's something I found really hard in the beginning. Then I got a good stroller and started finding places we could go to get out.
I remember this one was where robert went ballistic because he can't connect with his mother in law yet
And yet, he tries way too hard to make his in-laws like him that he always come off as a doofus.
Ray actually gets along with most people. He has his fair share of slips as a husband but so does everyone, and his mother across the street severely makes it worse. and thus we have a good sitcom
She might actually be right; debra may not read his column because she doesnt relate at all.
When they first met, Debra was doing PR for the rangers. You could say "it was just a job" but she would have to know at least a little bit about sports.
It is usually Ray who portrays himself as falling short in the relationship but this time Debra’s lack of encouragement as a wife is exposed.
Even Marie, who practically worships the ground Ray walks on, seemingly hasn't been too thrilled about his career choice
@Joe_Parmesan in an episode Marie even says she wanted him to become a pianist.
Perhaps, but he never compliments his wife on anything. He speaks badly of her cooking, taped over the wedding video, purposely does things badly so she takes over the task, and he doesn’t take Debra’s side very often in dealing with his mother. He should ALWAYS back his wife.
@@benjamindover4033Her cooking is so bad why would you compliment that? She doesn't even want to improve on that. That's basically a key part of being a stay at home wife and mother. She doesn't need to be the best but it's always the same lemon chicken and as long as it's good enough she doesn't see it fit to want to be better. Why should she expect for raymond to be better to her if she doesn't do the same.
This is a darling snippet.
Loved her in flying high
An excellent scene.
Ideal relationships! When you can find support in person, who usually creates this problems to another. This sitcom gives us another reality, and we can change our life! May be, but is not exactly)
3:37 "A opera writer"?! How Ray ever got a writing job (and an award) with his grammar is beyond me.
Writing and speaking are two different things, genius.
And it's a fictional show, genius
@@syedarsalanahmadBased on his real life, genius.
This guy is a such a hater lol. He takes shots at Ray on every video, give it up bro.
As someone who smokes weed I think it would be fun to get high with Pat McDougall. We could talk about sports and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
It so different watching ray interact with pat in a conversation, but when it comes to debra mom he cannot conversate lol .
My favorite sitcom ever 📺❤️📺❤️📺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Awesome 🎉🎉🎉
I absolutely loved this ❤❤ excuse my language 😂.
I like her
Exotic...... Tampa 😂😂😂😂
I am good at jigsaw puzzles. I can do 1000 pc puzzle. Small pieces also in a few days.
I can probably do more, I just haven't
I did a 750 piece one once…took me about six months but i was super proud lol
The ending of this episode was so shitty
This is probably one of the few episodes where raymond was in the right and literally everyone else was in the wrong..
Can’t believe the whole family made such a drama out of ray and Pat talking..
Especially Robert.. this whole episode, he was an absolute asshole.
