Holy Jesus right off the bat, first scene when Arms confidently nodded his head at "soldering iron" I almost peed myself laughing. This is too accurate
I went to this womans house to change a light fitting .i ended up putting a kids single bed together fixing a washing line and then fixing the chain on a kids bike.and just when im leaving a guy with a parcell is standing at the front door as im going out he says to her im ringing the bell the last ten mintues she says o its not working im must get that fixed .i said good luck my wife will be wondering where i am

@@Jill_of_trades no it was a favor for a friend who asked me would i drop in on the way home from work to her house to fix a bulb in her kids room as it wasnt working .she had a few kids and things were hard for her.
When the man came to read the meter, I got him to change a lightbulb that I can't reach!
This is exactly what my husband does every time we have a repairman over. Every. Single. Time. 😂
Believe it or not. When I moved to a new apartment I couldn't start washing machine, it just didn't work. I called electrician, he checked and then called me... " you see, lady, here is a switch next to light switch, you need to turn this on so that u can have electricity in that wall-power cord or what ever it's called."
Now I can say I paid a dude 10 euros to come and turn on my washing machine!

@gormenghastaghast Well, average wage where I live is 300 euros. XD This dude prob didnt include looking into $$. He solved the issue in under 2 minutes. 😂
Where I live it's from 80-300 € based on how fast you need a service & what's the problem.

When I was 16 I did a week's work experience in a computer repair shop. The memory that stands out is the guy who sent a computer from Scotland to Kent because it beeped when he turned it on. The beep was the BIOS POST confirmation that there's nothing wrong with the hardware.

I had a wonderful holiday in the Burren, the best part was seeing some of the round forts from the last lived Celtic lifestyle in Europe, they were the last independent Celtic kingdoms (pretty tiny) and a few of their forts are quite complete, Caher Comun (?spelling?) was my favourite, it's got a spectacular location but the ground is slippery so you'll want walking boots (and a waterproof coat, it does rain) i hope you have a wonderful time there

I have a neighbour who is this guy x 10 when it comes to our maintenance guys. The poor lads can't get anything done around the building or the yard without him pestering them and pretending to be the expert 😁

We had a couple of guys overs a few weeks ago to do the roof but because of the social distancing I couldn't constantly offer them tea. I felt so lost and awkward 😂
You know, as a kid, I used to be that annoying kid that saw what the workmen that came to our house was doing and I actually learned how to fix a lot of stuff
it's not my experience in Wales that any workman ever turns down tea, cake or biscuits, in fact it's traditional here to feed them nonstop from start to finish, it's bribery, some women even bake them cakes daily and cook them dinners, it works to get them to turn up early, stay late and put you ahead of other clients - you get what you pay for, especially when you pay with homemade cake!
I was just wondering whether Foil had put something around/ next to the camera to get into the character better or he is just this good at miming emotions - at the beginning I really felt the "I'm focusing very hard" vibe. Cheers to you guys 😃

Japanese hospitality in a nutshell.
Pushing on services they think (or their training manual says) the customer needs, instead of genuinely listening to the customer. As a tourist it's magical, as a resident, it's mentally exhausting and often a waste of food and drink.

(The tea part unearthed all my hidden trauma, lol)

Gosh, I had the nicest handymen ever over when there was a water damage (which I caused by taking the shower apart out of plain stupidity). They made sure I didn't have to pay for it (I was a first semester student with no job) by claiming to have exchanged a damaged piece that doesn't even exist. Lesson: never ever take something apart that you know nothing about.
And here I've always felt bad for leaving workmen alone and leaving them to it. I thought I was being rude, but maybe they appreciate it.
OMG. That's exactly how my husband behaves if a workman comes to the house. I've had to intervene and put a stop to it. As soon as the plumber comes through the door he's telling the poor man his analysis of the whole situation and I'm shouting "Jim, come down here right now".😂😂

I wish my plumber would come and do the work and leave. Instead he comes, stays 3x longer than he said he would, says he’s missing a piece he needs to buy so he comes back the next day, stays for hours, leaves, next day something breaks so I call him again, he comes and says “yea, it broke yesterday while I was trying to fix it so I just set it up and figured that should hold for a while.” and he stays for another few hours.
Something he “fixed” broke again last week. I can’t bring myself to call him because I just want some peace in my own flat.
Call someone else. It's plenty of plumbers.

Landlord...fix stuff.....I don't know where you are, but as an Australian, this is a foreign concept.
I once moved into a unit where the stove didn't work.
Landlord: you didn't mention it in the pre-rental inspection.
Me: the electricity wasn't on. I couldn't actually test if things worked.
Landlord: tough
A dark part of me hopes that my home wiring job to fix that stove burns the place down. But you know, without hurting anyone.

I prefer when a costumer just come out to me once, ask if I want some coffee, which I usually reply , no thanks, they go Oh, and come out with some tea instead, which I prefer.
and then proceed to stay far away from me, it stress's me out when they just hang around, watching over my shoulder, chipping in with useless comments to "improve" my work.
The best thing to do then, is fake an emergency call, and get someone else to do it.
OR, just tell them it will be more expensive if they hang around.
I've only ever had 1 costumer who actually helps, he just cleans up after me, and only give advice if asked. and buy really nice expensive tools I don't have access to, so I can fix his stuff way easier. he doesn't have to do all that, but he does so anyway.
