- We traveled from Reno, NV to Turlock CA to take in the 2024 Turlock Antique Car swap meet. This is the 57th year for the event, and one of the largest swap meets for antique car on the West coast. I've been going to Turlock since 1998, and always enjoy looking for rusty Model A Ford gold. Come along for the ride, and lets find some treasures together.

been going to Turlock since the 70's, now that I am retiring I am busy trying to sell all the junk I dragged home

The bewildered "you can start this thing?" at 7:30 was me! Incredible swap meet, can't wait to go to next one.
Wow! Glad I caught your cameo! That’s great that you found yourself in the video. We had a great time, a bit far of a drive for us given the purchases, but as I state in the video it’s more about having a day with car people. Thanks for watching and letting us know we “discovered” a future TH-cam star.🤪

Swap meets have mysteries and surprises around every corner, movies usually only have one or two.
We enjoy them very much too, even though I’m not in need of many parts these days. Always fun to “window” shop.

It’s a two day event, majority of folks just go on Saturday. But Sunday is when the best deals are made.
You know I was thinking today would take be cool to take two of those and make a crew cab

I’ve actually seen that done. There was one at the Kanab UT meet a couple years ago
I've never been but have been talking about going for the better part of 20 year now. Being from Southern California, this swap meet is a "must do"........maybe next year!

Life gets in the way, lol! I used to be in restaurant management and getting a weekend off wasn't easy.

Turlock is probably the best swap meet in California to find Model A parts.

I agree completely. Lots of parts, and being California, they’re not all rusted out. I’ve gone to some Oregon swap meets and so many of the parts that have been stored outside are too rusty to use. Did you go??
love it always enjoy swap meet vids . wish i was there im up here in vancouver wash and cant wait for the big portland auto swap coming soon . just love that little black model a truck so cute i want it bad but i have one already and that red 34 chevy was awsome i have a 33 chevy not like that though thanks for the trip

The 31 A coupe with a Mitchell overdrive for 15.5K seemed like a no brainer. What do the overdrives sell for these days? The 34 roadster was amazing, so was the price 65k
A Mitchell overdrive is about $3400 now and a wait of 14+ months. It’s a supply chain problem with some of the components.
