My father used to produce a video of the Hershey Show. The last one was in 1992. He walked around identifying cars, grills, hood ornaments and anything else he saw. It was his passion to restore antique cars.
We took a midnight bus trip from Connecticut, years ago. 7am arrival, enjoy the show and get back on the bus at 6pm . Sponsored by the Roaring 20s car club.. what a jam packed day it was. Thanks Iron Trap..
This year marked the fiftieth (50) year of my going to Hershey and vending for forty eight (48) of them. Nice video and thanks for making and sharing it. Wish you could have stopped by my spaces.
Myself and my brother in law Paul Willi went there in 1972 fall for a 3 day weekend with his big flat bed truck with sides on it coved with a large tarp covering the hole body. We slept in the back of truck. He took old car parts( a lot of old car parts) my sister in law (Betty) packed a large ice chest filled with food and drinks. We had a good time. You could smell the chocolate from the Hershey's plant. We had a great time.
Mike- Nice job shooting! I couldn't make it to Hershey this year, so it was great to walk the aisles vicariously with you guys. Saved me a lot of money too!! 😁
I'd love the Mehari Body!!!! those are a 2 CV which looks like it could be 4x4,in the same scheme as the mini moke . @16:12 that looks like a remote Shift made by Allard in England for Ford V8's in their sports cars. Not often you see Allard parts for sale. Just the thing to go behind an ARDUN ... all were connected at one time.

now the last time i whent i was 16 years then and i drove my dads 1920 modal t touring car dwon there from saratoga ny to hershey and back home again and that was in 1978 and the model t i drove down there took 1st place trophy for the most original model t there that day it felt great to have driven the first place t there that day but also when i did turn 16 i got to drive the model to all the shows back then and i just loved it

Man that looks awesome. I haven’t been to a swap meet since Daytona Turkey Rod run a few years back. Gets discouraging seeing beat up barely usable things priced way too high, stopped going. Maybe they just expect everyone to beat them up on price? Much better watching a video of it. The beers cheaper here too. lol
I used to go but my hips don't hold up anymore and it's a 5 hour drive there. When I used to go people told me if your looking for something special you will find it at Hershey and it's the truth. The car shows are something else both days.
my dads model t was perfect right down to ever nut bolt and screw in the right hole and in the right place it was 100% original all the way very thing on it
I really enjoyed seeing the cars and if they had a price on it. That was great, but slow a little down on the price tags, they would not have time to focus. I would watch hours of a swap meet video with prices...hours!
