Great interview with Steranko. Great artist and very intelligent man. Steranko, Neal Adams,Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Wally Wood my guys. Thumbs 👍 Great video.
He was UNIQUE. Impressive the way he developed his own special Style in the midst of so many "Greats!" Jack Davis---Same thing. He was EXTREMELY expressive in his Style.
I still remember Jim Steranko's artwork during his " Nick Fury-Agent of SHIELD " and Captain America comicbook runs ! As I recall, Jim was a magician and used to publish MediaScene. Jim's work reminds me of opening movie scene montages ! He is brilliant. A friend of Wood named Russ Cochran published most of EC sci-fi and horror comics in a hardcover collector's edition. I still have the Weird Science Fantasy and the other one ! Thanks for posting this on. TH-cam :-)
Wally Wood is one of my biggest artistic influences. When I saw my first Wally Wood EC story, I remember thinking, "Wow! I want to be able to draw like THAT!"
Jim Steranko is a rock star! I love the story he tells about b***h slapping that charlatan Bob Kane. He's one of the few who always defended Bill Finger and his claim as the true creator of Batman.
I enjoyed this panel for the most part, except for the need to mention how they didn't like Joe Orlando's Catholic Beliefs . They are free to disagree with the church's teachings without calling it "Wrong Think" versus their "Right Think".
Legendary. Sublime. Magnificent! Steranko's hair is unmatched in comic's history...

Wally Wood is my all time favorite comic artist.
Wally Wood is one of my biggest influences artwork-wise and one of my favorite artists. He was seriously one of the best artists ever.
Yes he was the master.
I love all the EC crew.

I can listen to this panel over and over, every day, all day!
Wally Wood's work is sublime. So is Jim Sterankos.
😂
Thomas 😃I watched your 3 "Steranko on Wally Wood" videos and found them super engaging and highly informative!👍
Thank you so much!

Me as well.
Call him Woody or Wallace, he didn't like being called Wally. It's the least we can do to honor that great man.

J. David Spurlock of Vanguard Productions and Jim Steranko.
Thanks for posting this !!!
cool, I love Spurlock's _John Buscema Sketchbook._
Wally Wood and Frank Frazetta had a spiritual child in Dave Stevens.
Add Mark Schultz to that list. (Al Williamson too and for my money, John Severin.)
Good way of putting it
Frank Frazzetta taught me to paint like him. I kid you Not!
( Though he never KNEW it).
a real storyteller in his element
Discussing the influence of Wood on underground artists and no mention of Rand Holmes?
No, but thank you for commenting! I’ll check out some of his work!
Is your name Steranko?
Wally Wood's machinery often looked inspired by the front grills of 1950s cars. Or maybe vice-versa...
Very strange, I was just reading that story from Weird Science recently. An amazing story, btw.
Are you ever going to post part 2?
part 2 is up
you're named steranko?
Who are the guys sitting next to Steranko ?
to the left is David Spurlock and to the right is Paul Levitz
@@odontj76 Thank you!
How did that skunk crawl up on Steranko's head and nobody told him it was there?

Did you know----"RHAPSODY," has been changed to---RAP CITY?
( Didn't KNOW that, didja'?).
