    Had a bit of a chuckle to myself, your comment about that passenger door being absolutely roached and not even bothering with fixing it, meanwhile im looking at all 4 of my doors on my wagon where the bottoms is non existent, and here i am thinking "she'll be right" 🤣

    I bought an XD 250 four speed manual as my first car in 1990. Done the usual stuff that was done back then, fitted a 351, 5 speed manual etc...then regrettably sold it in '99.
    Saw it for sale 17 years later (2016) by the same bloke I had sold it to. Finally done a deal 12 months later (2017) and had my XD back in the garage pretty much 18 years after selling it.

      Dash will be a Powertune Digital dash, they sell an attachment that allows you to use analog sensor signals so you can run it in a Carby-powered car with no ECU, but seeing as i have the 2JZ it will run into a haltech ECU, the dash is very cheap and the most customizable at $750!

    @phillipforster453 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I just like to know how far you want to go with the XA and XC restos? so far so good and everything looks Brillant. My reason is for the question is that I have seen a XB ute with the rear part of the cabin taken further back to make more room like the space cab ute, for example, the BA's BF's ute seats tilt forward like the XA - C coupe seats so you can have heaps of room in the rear and have great access when the seats tilt forward, this XB ute back part was fabricated and went straight down from the rear window shelf down to the floor, I dream to purchase a XA or XB and do this and at the same time convert it into a 1 tonner, so bugger all that fabricating sheet metal at the side of the ute and guess it would be easier to fabricate and wooden deck. The fuel cell looks awesome and that would be a great start to a one tonne design. What's your thoughts?

    • @MattyWillo
      @MattyWillo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're rigvht the fuel cell would complimenbt a one tonner look perfectly! and to forego all the fabrication of the rear quarter panels would be an absolute dream. I have got the centre section of the XA's back wall out at the moment and did look at doing exactly that, the straight down wall that is, and i would have done it if i had started this section earlier, and completely removed the wall, as its not much more work than what i have done now, but, i need to keep myself on a short leash as time is running out for me to get these cars done especially now i have the XC. The XA was not intended to be a 4 year project but it's going that way, so i need to wrap it up, get it back toghether and get started on the assembly!
