Yeongja is this show's treasure, she's always making the guests feel comfortable always listening to them and consoling them when needed, she always tries to understand people's feelings and how these feelings contribute to the problem or even become the cause of it, she's always showing a strong unnie image when she's just a big baby who is actually very sensitive and lovely. Besides she loves food so I realate lol I freaking love her

The second concern just made me very frustrated. Like, man, I get that you've had a hard youth but how fkin dare you use that against your son like that? The whole time he was just talking about how hard his life's been, talking abt growing without a father and all but he HIMSELF had destroyed his relationship with his son and made his teen years just suffocating and hard. A good parent should consider their child's dreams and aspirations, not try to live through them. If the kid got tested with high stress levels, then shouldn't that be at least some kind of alarm. Why don't parents realize that actions like this can actually ruin their children??
I kind of understand that really, I know a father who does the same, but they are simply not as informed in child education as you for example, but they are good at heart, that when they're informed they start to take steps to change for the better. In the end the "change for the better" is the most important thing for the present and future of their children, because you can't change the past.
Yeah i understand. I'm training to be an mma fighter aswell, the training is tough especially once you're getting ready for a fight because you have to drop so much weight, i wouldn't know because i haven't fought but i know how it feels, even to the point were you have to dehydrate yourself a day or two before the weigh ins. The worst fighter is the one who doesn't want to fight so i think he needs to stop

The husband in the first concern does not know how Tarot Cards work. Tarot cards don't answer specific questions but are supposed to help guide you to your decision, not make it for you.
I could relate so much to the second concern. My mom had a dream of learning something that she couldn't achieve in the past (because of the same reason the son's father had) and she forced me to achieve that dream. All the things that were mentioned in that concern was my concern too. Even when I go out to competitions and win, it doesn't make me happy a little bit. But just like him, I did it in order not to get hit. Even when I didn't smile for a bit in front of other people I would be scolded for an entire day and even the next day. It's not once or twice that I got hit with stiletto (high-heels) on the head, been thrown chairs at, cursed in front of other people including in school, around my friends, told that she didn't want me as a kid, told me i'm not important, beaten up in front of people until i bleed just because I don't want to wear a certain type of clothes that she want me to. I hold it in but I just couldn't let it pass when she hit my little brother too until his back bleeds. His back, ears, and arms were full of scars just like me a few years ago and so I decided to left home and study abroad. It's something painful and is still a painful memory for me. I hope that parents won't force their kids on doing something they couldn't do when they were younger just because of your own greed. Let your children live too.

It upset me a bit at how Korea is against Piercings and Tattoo's. People have to go to undercover tattooist's just to be able to get tattooed or get them outside of the country as they aren't really excepted and plus from a documentary I watched you have to be doctor to be a certified tattooist I believe. Its sad but that's just how their culture is

2nd concern is a good example of what Hello Counselor can do. When the dad had that 'aha!' moment, I knew they'd be fine. It's very easy to dismiss your children's emotions as whining but when you get to sit down and talk like this, you realize the sincerity of it. I also love how he said he doesn't know how he will change himself but he is willing to try. He knows it's going to be hard but he will do it for his son.
I've been watching Eurachacha Waikiki and so in love with Lee Yikyung that i gotta watch this episode just for him haha
I love Yeongja (Did I spell that right??) So much, she always gives good advice while smiling and making sure that the other person doesn't feel like they are being attacked. Although I don't always feel they deserve her kindness, it's nice to see someone who is able to give even the most ridiculous people some help with a smile

I never cried because of this show before but I did during the second concern. All Seokjun really wanted was some praise and freedom from his dad. He even said he probably would want to continue the training if he got that. When the dad scolded him after losses he would just apologize to his father. I mean, he got that good at a sport when he didn't even want to practice it, but he did it for his dad... And I can understand that feeling so well. You want your parents approval and praises and you want them to be proud of you. I crave this too, especially from my dad. This story just makes me so sad. I really hope they can get a better relationship with each other. The dad seemed to realize he had to change so I hope he does so.
The second concern was really sad and touching. When the son spoke truthfully to his dad in the end I got teary.

I'm watching this show after so long abd oh how I've missed it :') this is undoubtedly one of the best shows ever made
I can't believe the first husband..he told his wife to give birth 3 weeks later for the sake of the child??!! What the heck!! And then he continued and called giving birth a "brief moment". I mean c'mon she was in pain for several hours and he told her to hold the baby in and not to go for a C-section??!! What kind of a jerk is he, I can't believe such cruel people still exists!😒

For the third concern, I can understand why his mother doesn't like the piercings to be really honest that many piercings aren't my type either but if they give him confidence and he's feeling comfortable with them they should let him wear that!

I think the same as now whoever wants tattoo they get it and same goes with piercing.... And as he said there are many people who did plastic surgery just to look better and they too get all those criticise and praises. The 3rd concern really isn't an issue, but I guess it differs slightly depending on where you're from. My mom would feel the same way, but since I'm grown she'd give her two cents and then leave me be. I got my cartilage pierced when I was 13. Now I'm 18 with 2 tattoos and 7 piercings(ears only). I want more but because I really want to be a neurosurgeon I am holding back. I did go to school with someone who had multiple facial piercings plus her ears were stretched (tried that, but I gave up), she looked confident and cool so I understand the son.

What bothered me the most about the last guy wasn't his piercings but his haircut. I, personally, wouldn't pierce anything other than my ears but piercings (and tattoos) are all about personal preference.

i almost quit watching this episode because of how mad it was making me listening to all these people criticizing the last guy only because of his piercings. honestly I think he is the one who should be sitting down there because the ones who have a problem are the ones who dont want to allow himbe himself. He doesn't have a problem with people staring at him, or thinking he is weird. Instead, he is completely fine because that is just how he is, how he wants to be. I believe people that have prejudices against people who are different from them have the problem. If you are making the way another person lives their life YOUR problem and you care about that, it's not their fault, it's YOURS. it is YOUR decision whether you want to be disturbed by others preferences.
The pierced guy is the one who is suffering from disrespect, and the fact that his family talks bad about piercings &tattoos IN FRONT of him is really disrespectful. We should all learn to accept that each one of us is different from each other, and embrace it. If you don't like it, don't do it, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean that others around you shouldn't do it either.
His perspective on tarot cards is somewhat traditional. People usually think that those cards are used for future telling but most tarot books interpret the card readings as one's current disposition, how one sees her or his past, present and future, and that where the reader (should) give(s) an interpretation of the guidance and the advice the cards are telling. Most tarot books tell the interpretation of cards as psychoanalytic. It only means that the cards try to unfold someone's unconscious. They probe the querent (the one who's asking for a reading) to open her or his heart up.
Each card has a lot of meaning by the books and the traditional definitions handed down through the years. However, the interpretation still goes "half-objective" and "half-subjective". A reader should still rely on her or his intuition and not just by the definitions. Hence, good abilities on tarot card reading is somehow a gift.
I've already been learning and reading tarot cards for a time. However, I still go by the saying of "astra inclinant, sed non obligant". Everything in this world may influence us but the end of the day, our own will is yet the one who decides.
I can understand the mom, honestly if it was my son I would hate it too. I'm fine up to ~4 piercings but at the same time I kind of agree with the son...It's his own individuality and it's not like he's doing smth bad. Since he's only in his early 20 I think he may change his mind later

he is acting like a teenager and seeing the way he speaks actually he is going to ruin his face putting them everywhere worse even his health !! how could he put them in his louth !! tongue and gum that is so damn serious that could result in many dangerous infections later !! even piercing between his eyes is so dumb he could have vision disturbances because of that !! in my opinion i believe that he is suffering from an infeiority complex and a lack of confidence that we all may have but the way we deal with it is different neverthless resorting to piercings and tatoos without even knwoing their serious damages on health is too dum to accept and way of covering your lack of confidence without really dealing with it
oh ha I do think he's acting like a teenager as well but I think it's just going to pass, he's only in his early twenties. When he's going to start working for real he won't be able to keep them or only a few, eventually he'll stop using them. So far I believe that he's just going through a phase. He did say that he doesn't feel confident without them but I wouldn't go as far as saying he has inferioty complex (contradictory ? lol whatev). He would remove them if he could but he can't 'cause he's afraid that it will plug. I'm worried for his health too, can't say anythin else.
+blurryfrank Agreed. I think many people view tattoos and piercings (STILL) as things teens do to be rebellious, instead of an artistic outlet. I don't have any tattoos or piercings (besides my ears), but I can totally understand the appeal. I can't commit to getting a tattoo, but I'm planning on piercing my nose and lips (and maybe nippled yolo lmao).
Seeing how he has so many piercings, I'm sure he knows the procedure and is hygienic about it. I have friends who've literally pierced their ears using needles, some ice, and some limes lmao If he's doing those complex piercings, he probably has the equipment and knowledge to do em. Septum and all those other places he pierces require piercing machines, so I'm sure he'll be fine. It's others that need to change lol

For the second concern, if his son lives out his dream what about his son's dream? Since he didn't get to fulfill his dreams, shouldn't he let his son be happy and fulfill his own dreams?
okay ...........Seriously, parents should stop using their childhood deficiencies to put limitations on their kids. You were born in a poor family and could not afford to pursue your dream. That doesnt mean the son/daughter is responsible to carry it out unless he/she wants to whole heartedly. Diabetes ,high bp and cancer might be heriditary but dreams need not necessarily be. Let the child dream for himself and pursue them. He will fill in for all the limitations you had in your childhood as a gratitude for letting him live his life. I am really proud of my father who never ever forced me to follow his dream allthough he has a poor background himself. Thank you Appa. Love you💗

If he's leeching of his mother and has no respect for her or the family, it's NOT his body. When he goes out and gets a job (which is going to be HUGELY difficult with face piercings), THEN he can do what he wants.

I can totally relate to the 2nd concern. My mother enrolled me in classical piano from I was 5, I started hating playing the piano because my mother would force me to practice for hours daily 😑. All a girl wanted to do was go outside and play
Tbh, I felt conflicted during the second concern. The son wasn't happy and didn't want to continue kickboxing, but he had a talent for it. And of course, since the dad saw that his son was talented, he wanted his son to become a champion. But honestly, he shouldn't force it on his son. He's good at kickboxing, so the sport should become a hobby, but because his dad pushed him too far, and because there wasn't any compliments involved, he came to hate it. His dad should give up the dream of making his son a kickboxing champion, and look for someone who actually has the dream of wanting to become a kickboxing champ. I think that will work out better😊!
I feel bad for the son inn the second concern. I understand that his father just wants his to do something that he couldn't but I feel that even tho he couldn't fulfill his dream he shouldn't make his son do it. I really didn't like. Hopefully the father can let him do his own dream in the future. BTW - Seokjun is really cute!😍💕

For the second concern, i can see where the parents stand considering their sons are really good at what they do esp the fact that they still win despite not loving what they do...imagine the potential if they actually love and are passionate about the sport...i just feel the dad needs to take a more encouraging role rather than a forceful one and his sons might actually not hate the sport that much...honestly i wld say that wld be better than giving up if you are good at it unless despite love and support you still hate it then yeahh giving up wld make sense but if not i think if he give up now he might regret it in the future...like i know many friends who actually wished their parents pushed them a little harder in not giving up sth they are good at esp when they advance higher in this society and realised how competitive this world is and that they realised that if a parent is willing to nurture sth you are good at..its actually a blessing (unless you really really hate it which i doubt is the case here since he stills excels in it) this is kind of similar yet contrasting to my siblings and I...we all had certain showing of talent but were never nurtured cos my parents only believed in education and scoring good results...now they regret it when they realised the world is filled with all-rounded individuals

I don't see much concern with the 3rd conflict. Body Modification is a way of expressing yourself and I feel as though it isn't as popular in Korea. They're making his piercing a bigger deal than it actually is.

ok the one about the piercings I'm going to be honest it's ok if he gets them bcuz he likes them and he feels confident but if u don't like tattoos and piercings simple don't get them don't tell people what to do bcuz it's their body their free to get modifications to their body but doing self piercing can be dangerous bcuz u can get them infected or something worse unless ur an expert but if he is happy let him be but people shouldn't be rude about them for example when the mom said she thought he was a cow that can hurt feelings but u should be understanding he might eventually as he grows older give them up or at least have a few but that's up to him not other people
