  • The Toyota C-HR has been a big success in Ireland since it first launched here at the end of 2016. The stylish coupé-crossover has been a consistent bestseller, with over 15,000 sold in Ireland to date.
The new C-HR aims to build on the success of the first with a bold new design and even more efficient hybrid technology.
It goes on sale from about €40,000 and is available to test drive in dealers now with first customer deliveries expected from January 2024.
Caroline travelled to Ibiza with Toyota Ireland to find out more about what's new for the 2024 Toyota C-HR and drive it for the first time.

Why do reviewers allways have to point out that the engine get's noisy if you press the accelerator?
    All cars do !
I have driven non hybrids and am currently driving a 2012 Prius !
The engine reving when the accelerator is pressed a little harder never bothers me in the least, so why do they constantly make a big deal of it ?
Before my Prius I drove a 2006 Honda Civic and guess what, when I hit the accelerator hard the engine made noise...
    What a surprise !
All my other cars an Opel Vectra, and my two Ford Escorts also made noise while hitting the accelerator....

Lovely car. Toyota on fire at the moment.
What do you know about the special 30th anniversery edition of the KIA Sportage? Any chance you could do a review on it soon see is it worth buying over the regular K3?

Hi Sharon, Sportage is a great buy - haven’t heard much about that one yet. Not sure if it will be out on press yet

@@changinglanes_ie Yes my Dad has had 3 of them. Has had a MK 3 and two MK 4s. Normally keeps them 3 years and buys a new one before NCT time. So will probably change again. Still is in a MK 4 one do so this new one is a big leap and a lot more expensive too. Personally I think he should have waited one more year last time and he could have been in a MK 5 now. The special edition could be a good buy.

Thanks for mentioning the cvt and I take your point about feeding in power gently. Have an auris hybrid which I want to upgrade but the cvt is really putting me off. Love your reviews and chance of reviewing the new small Lexus, think it's LBX, am thinking it might be more refined Thanks, Ken

@@fg10291 Thanks Ken, yes I should be testing the LBX next spring when it arrives. The latest Corolla 1.8 facelift is actually another good option, found it easy enough to drive smoothly and well insulated too.
