Let's all admit....the Note 9 is a beast and still one of the last, great, NO COMPROMISE phones from Samsung. This and the S10 Lineup, note 8, and maybe S9 lineup.
I love my note 9 for photos. I will admit the 20 did better in front facing, but I personally use my rear camera way more often so for me keeping my note 9 is a no brainer. This is exactly what I needed to see though to decide if I wanted to upgrade. I prefer the features on the note 9 and seeing as the rear camera is actually looking better in many of the photos it makes my decision to stick with it easy. Maybe in the coming years Samsung will listen to their customers and add things people actuslly want and will use. I was considering the upgrade k ly for the camera but that's when I thought it was a huge improvement which it isn't. Thanks!

Out of all the cell phones I have owned. Galaxy Note 9 was & still is my favorite. The Note 9 is better for macro shots & keeps things more in focus. The Note 20 Ultra struggles with macro & tends to blur edges. I guess if you really like that bokeh effect then great. The Note 20 Ultra is brighter and you can see more details in shadows. My note 9 is a killer shooter. I just bought a second hand pixel 3 xl and both still kick butt. I do not buy into much hype since 2018 was the smartphone year of the greatest and since then not big improvement for the prices.
Honestly the Note 9 was the last best Note. Okay Note 10+ it’s a good phone too, just no iris scanner and more fragile. ( real life experience). Note 10+ landed from chest hight on it’s aluminium ( aluminium) corner when I wanted to take picture and screen corner got crack lines gladly outside glass and still fully functional. Note 9 camera in certain scenarios looking better than the Note 20 Ultra.
Good comparison. The camera on the Note 20 ultra is better in general but Note 9 will stay as my main driver for now. I'll keep Note 20 Ultra mainly for the live focus video which I use for some of my other projects but not particularly super impressed by it.

For the price you can get it now plus it will still get monthly security patches for at least another year and half I would easily recommend it to anyone who wants Samsung most complete and last true flagship at a cheap price.
I hope you compare note 9 to ophone 11 pro max and the newest s21 so that I know if its time or I will wait for next year to buy a new device;) keep safe
The S21 definitely has less noise under low light conditions and slightly better performance. But IMHO not enough to justify the price tag to upgrade from Note9.

My Brother, great video. U r 100% correct. The latest and greatest doesn't mean best across the board. I'm still rocking a LG V30. My wife, IPhone 11Max. Sometimes my phone downloads faster and I think mine sounds better BECAUSE I have wired headphones. However, my phone is getting old. Samsung offered me $600 off the S21 Ultra for a trade in. So old faithful will be sent out to pasture. Now I know u mainly do vidoe and pictures. But I bought a cord that'll allow me to plug my wired headphones into the USB C. Do u think I'll get the same or similar sound? Because my V30 sttiiillll sounds great. Btw, I'm going to have to slow down from watching your videos. U keep telling me to get my popcorn ready. Now I'm putting on popcorn weight. Just kidding, keep doing your thang Sir. It's appreciated.

The v30 has a quid DAC you probably won't get the same audio from the galaxy s21 ultra. I will check as soon as I get mines
Note 9 takes pictures sharper (look at tree branches). Of course, I am writing about photos without magnification. Better and cleaner audio in Note 9.
