Who is your favourite Mythical Pokémon?
(I’ve also been advised by my lawyers to list a number of small corrections from the video here;
1. Keldeo’s resolute form is unlocked with Secret Sword, not Sacred Sword
2. BDSP Mew is Level 1 not Level 5
3. Meloetta WAS the only Normal/Fighting, until Mega Lopunny and Stufful/Bewear were given that typing.
4. I debated putting Meltan/Melmetal on this list but chose not to due to the GO connection
5. I didn’t forget Pokémon GO, I simply remembered to not include it in this video

Shiny Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Genesect have also been distributed in Pokémon Go which they can be sent to Home and to MSG. Outside of Japan, shiny Mew and shiny Genesect are Go exclusive.

I'll always remember going to ToysRUs as a kid with my mom and trading a skitty with a man behind the counter for a Mew. Simpler times~
I also got the Liberty Island Victini and having it during my playthrough was a treat.

I'm surprised Meltan and Melmetal weren't on the list. The G-Max Melmetal you can redeem in HOME kind of counts as an event without an expiration date
11:00 I remember sending my fire red cartridge to a magazine which would load deoxys event on the game. I was so scared that it was a scam and my mom had to console me that everything would be fine and I would be getting it back. I was 9 or 10 back then. Some time later I of course got the game back and there were printed instructions on what to do to get deoxys. Having to make certain amount of steps in certain directions was so wacky but I loved the tiny puzzle.

4:30 you can obtain mew in sword and shield with an unused pokeball plus.
They will have the galar origin mark awell being level 1 awell mew would be the only obtainable legal pokemon that wasn't in the galar pokedex you could get pre home and dlc updates.
Bonus fact useing pokeball plus with an pokemon in sword and shield won't gain any experience compare to lets go games.

Pokemon Go has helped out a lot picked it up to help with the missing mythical. Zarude just released and Marshadow is next month. Only gave Hoopa and Volcanion

Even if Meltan and Melmetal must be obtained through GO, they still count as Mythical Pokémon, so they probably should've been here. Otherwise, a very comprehensive video.
I did consider this, but I think I’d rather include them in a comprehensive GO video if I ever did one

I believe Mega Lopunny is also Normal and Fighting? Mega Lop is actually the pokemon I usually remember for that type combo in Pokedoku, and I more often forget that Meloetta's other form exists 😅

I must’ve been looking at a Gen V specific dex because I go a little further down and I see Bewear 💀
My favorite mythical is Darkrai.
And in my opinion, they should start making mythical pokemon distributions be like Manaphy & Phione (In PLA), so that way, not only would they be under our names, have some kind of event tied to them, but also so anybody can catch them without relying on online events. And if they do that, for the love of God, they shouldn't Shiny Lock them. C'mon Game freak, please do this!

This video kind of makes me a bit bummed out as i've started attempting full completed generation living dexes, and gen 1 is completable on it's own without much issue because of Yellow and MissingNo. and 2 will be doable because of the Crystal VC game. Gen 3 is completable because PAL Channel giving Jirachi, Colosseum and XD giving Ho-Oh and Lugia, my inside man Nintendaniel supplying events for Deoxys and Mew - then i'll just need a JP Gamecube for Celebi. Gen 4 and 5 have all online events still available through proxy servers.
But as far as i'm aware, gen 6 just becomes a wall that cuts you off from any event you didn't get at the time of release for itself and the games from then on, which is rough, but i'm sure with time the community will make a solution for that
i think there are rom hacks for 6 onwards to make them huntable
personally, take that as a good thing. gen 5 is where pokemon ends as far as good games
as much as xy and oras had good parts, they were the beginning of the end

zarude is the only mythical so far that ive never gotten my hands on 😭
If like me you're watching this video in December 2024, there's an event currently on going in Japan giving away Deoxys, Keldeo and Zarude, that supposedly will reach the West later on
I still have one unused and unopened CIB Poké Ball Plus. Sold two other with a good profit 📈
"Gotta catch 'em all" is never the slogan in the Japanese originals. Even then, the 2D anime graphics would have allowed saved memory space to have the National Pokédex and other gameplay features. It is similar to how Mew was created and put into Red and Green.
It is better if the giveaway Pokémon have any neutral Nature for players to easily decide what Mint to give them.
you’ve never watched Destiny Deoxys have you? The never melt ice is a reference to some of the events in the movie. Great movie would recommend.

Myrhicals are just rarer legendarios imo. Cus all the box art legendarios have crazy abilities like palkia controlling space, dialga, time which is crazy

Lovely, except it is Arceus not Archeus.
Tbh the true answer seems to be both, since both have been used in official media. But I prefer Archeus since it falls in line if Silvallys “RKS” system and the Arc Phone from legends.
